Hey guys, I just decided to join TPR. SFMM is my home park, I live about 15 minutes away. I'm going again tomorrow.

Going up to the Mountain on the seventh with my school. I can't wait to hear things like "I am going to do a triple back flip on X2" or "I died on Goliath and came back to life" Is there anyone who is going on the seventh? It would be nice to meet up with a fellow enthusiast.

The park will be open New Year's Eve from 10:30 a.m. to midnight but the music and dancing will continue until 12:30 a.m.

Has anyone heard anything regarded the disappearance of the superman figure on top of S:TE?

^ Yeah, when I read that I also was confused. When I rode Superman last on November 1st, I'm pretty sure it was there...though I wasn't really paying attention to it.

^ Superman has been looking down on the park since 1996 (the ride's planned opening till technical problems delayed it till early 1997). He agreed to stay, but noticed that his friend Batman started feeling blue.

 

So he needed some space and flew away. I would have done the same...

Superman will be repainted in black/grey colors to make up for Batman being all blue(ish)

^ I have to admit that the more I look at the "new, blue" Batman, the more I like it.

The blue looks pretty awesome. I wonder if they are going to go with a "dark knight" theme.

 

My son will be very sad that his favorite ride is closed when we visit the park next week.

 

Speaking of closed rides, what else is closed right now besides Batman and Goliath (from a coaster standpoint).

I believe Goldrusher is too, and Deja may be closing soon, it's gonna be an interesting visit tomorrow with so many coasters closed down.

^^ I've heard that Gold Rusher is closed. But it was open on Sunday when I was there, so I can't confirm that.

I must admit, I didn't like the new Batman color at first either, but I agree with Eric. The color really is growing on me.

 

Also, I'm pretty sure that Goliath is back up but I'm not positive. Deja Vu should be down sometime around now for its annual rehab.

Screamscape stated Goliath is open but your best way to find out for sure would be to call the park.

How windy is it up there in Valencia? Cause it's "really really ridiculously" windy at my house in West LA, and I'd hate for even more ride closures.
