haiderodes
After the evaluations, X 2nd generation train will be moved to the Sky Tower museum in tact. That would be quite a feat! But seriously, it would be cool to have at least one of the seats from the old train taken up there...not quite sure how they'd display it. Did they ever get a test seat from Arrow when it opened? Perhaps they never needed one, the seats seem to be rather accomodating.
cooksta77
I think that would be cool to have the original X trains up there!
Jew
Evaluations? Why in the world would a park buy three new trains simply to evaluate them? I'm guessing the old X train is still there for one of two reasons: parts and/or they just don't know what to do with it yet.

PeoplemoverMatt
Having a 3rd train alone won't do anything to improve dispatch times. Why would you expect that? Trains don't dispatch themselves. That's what the ride op crew is there to do. The ride crew should understand that 3-train op is their busiest time, and they need to do their absolute best to do their job as quickly and accurately as possible since they no longer have any time luxuries at all. If they are incapable of doing an accurate and safe job in the busiest times as well as the easy times, or cannot be bothered to do so, then they should not be employed at that position. Tmcdllr
Was just there this week and it was better than last year. Everything that had multiple trains was running 2 trains except for Ninja and Goldrusher but the waits were minimal so it was no big deal. One thing that was annoying was Tatsu during the day when it was busy had 2 train 1 station operation and at night when the line thinned a little had 2 train 2 station operation. This seemed backwards. X2 was awesome although there is a little 'bump' just before the last raven turn and I banged my head real good. I agree with what was said about Riddler's station. They really need to get the air circulating in there. It gets hot and you are crammed in there with a bunch of hot smelly people-not good. It looked to me that if they replaced the clogged air filters in the intake in the station, the air would work. Also during the day when it was hot there was no air in Batman's tunnels but at night there was. Again backwards. I noticed several ride stations that have air but don't use it. Overall it was a fun trip.
cooksta77
Batman needs air circuation in those tunnels right before the station it's just hot and stuffy in there!
Bolliger&Mabillard
Having a grouper at the top of Riddler's stairs helps out a ton if the grouper knows what they're doing, but staffing doesn't always permit.
haiderodes
I always thought that the two separate lines on the Riddler staircase up to the station was pointless as there is no separation for front half and back half once you actually get up there...its a free for all. Until they fix the air, the key is gonna be having the "lockers" person limit the amount of people up there at any given time. Its a balance though - they need to let people through frequently enough so that the outside lines seems like its moving, but at the same time not overcrowding the station. Batman has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes theres air, sometimes its stuffy. Back in July I was at the park over two days (Wed and Thurs), Wednesday there was air, Thursday there wasnt. trcg721
Yeah Batman can be pretty bad with the heat. I was surprise alot more people didnt pass out in the summer time because of it.
Bolliger&Mabillard
Working Batman sucks I can tell you!. The way the station is designed with the aluminum outer casing and the prefabricated rock inside, it works as a refridgerator in the winter and an oven in the summer. cooksta77
I really hate Batman's station and tunnels right before the station GET SOME A/C IN THERE! Why can't you put it in there with all the $$$$ they have!
Bolliger&Mabillard
^Because all the $$$$ they make has to go to resolving a $2 billion dollar debt.
cooksta77
Good point! Yet how come the make the season pass $10.00 more then a reg. ticket? They pay once and get the year free!
Bolliger&Mabillard
That's to entice people to pay full price rather than paying half price with Taco Bell coupons.
trcg721
Try working at Batman then complain. I think they could of had a person downstairs and limit the people going into the station.
ebl
I said this once, but it's worth repeating---the Xtreme Play Pass needs to be $200 or more. And I told Jay Thomas that in person. That pass is easily worth $250 for what you get. And I'd still pay it. Eric

Bolliger&Mabillard
The quality of the park hasn't improved that much for GP to spend that much on a season pass, there's still more ground that needs to be footed.
TheRealTinkerbell
So, I went to SFMM last Sunday, and I seriously want to let everyone know how well Magic Mountain is doing. I arrived early, because I really didn't feel like standing in line too long for X2. They now have entertainment for the crowds waiting outside, which I seriously think is the best thing a park can do. It seriously took my mind away from the unbearable heat. Plus the people were fairly nice. It's a great change that they made. Totally changing it for a Family Park experience. I got in and stood in line for X2 for about 25 minutes. I will say, their dispatches aren't as fast as the opening week, BUT, they were running THREE TRAINS! I was seriously excited about it. I mean, sitting in the sun for a good 30 seconds wasn't all that great, but seeing the next train climb up right above you was kind of cool. The exiting system is working out PERFECTLY! What a great change it has made. The lines weren't long at all! I waited for about 45 minutes on Deja Vu, and about 5 minutes or less on about everything. I realized that on every ride, they were running the maximum amount of trains that they could. Thomas Town was seriously the CUTEST area I've ever seen. I even went to play in the waters (then again, it was hot as heck that day). The store was just so adorable, and may I say, very well kept. I don't think I saw any toys on the floor or any random things out of place! I rented an all day locker, which seriously, I thought was a great buy. 9 dollars, and I got to use it all day long. I didn't have to worry about losing things on the ride, or even more so, having to pay on the other rides to leave my stuff in a locker. Now, I DO have some negative things that I know SFMM's crew CAN change. 1) The employees REALLY TRULY need to keep their cell phones away! I was in awe that I saw some guy operating Tastu while texting the entire time. And when I mean the entire time, he was checking restraints and dispatching the ride all while texting. He didn't look up ONCE! Not even to dispatch. I almost left the line, because for a second, I didn't feel safe! Those cell phones need to stay away. I can understand emergencies(when I worked at Universal I used my phone several times to announce a guest emergency) but texting away while you're working? Come on people, you are NOT getting payed for that! 2) The employees really need to learn how to greet the guest. All about 10-5! I didn't hear ONE ride attendant say hi to me. They were very very very dry about greeting. The only people I remember that were actually friendly with guests were the Food Service people! 3) This is the one that seriously pissed me off. I even went to guest relations to complain. WHAT is the deal with 7 people hanging out at the dispatch. I was waiting in Goliath, and I counted 7 people, just sitting around and talking, not working, not doing anything at all. 4 of them were sitting around the main dispatch person. I understand breaks and all, and you want to talk to your friends, but PLEASE do not do it when people are working. It makes your park seriously look bad. It looks like you don't care. Go somewhere else for your break. Don't all just crowd around. 4) Bathrooms. I remember this was a HUGE issue at WCB, and I know that SFMM is really working on it, but it STILL needs work. It really needs like...an hourly check, or even half an hour when it's busy. I saw some things in there that were kind of traumatizing to me. Really work on this one Magic Mountain! Other than having to go to that STUPID Raven Symone concert, I had an amazing time at Magic Mountain! I'm so glad that this park is becoming a great family park, and I can't wait for all the improvements in the months to come.

Panel, load/unload, etc, and any other position is not the place to hang out and socialize if you don't belong there. And if you don't belong there get the hell out of there so these other morons can do their job. I swear the cellphone texting while operating a ride thing is absolutely rediculous. You are there to do a job and run a ride and your phone is not part of that. I wish that everytime that happened we could take the offending person's phone and smash it into a million pieces right in front of them. Besides causing a severe distraction and being totally unsafe they are not getting paid to do that. I don't care how young they are or if they only get paid minimum wage this behavior is completely not acceptable and needs to stop now, there are absolutely NO EXCUSES for this to be happening! If these idiots are not going to do their job and instead hang out and socialize and text while they are supposed to be working then they don't need to be at SFMM and need to be let go so they can go somewhere else and not do their job. Jew
Perhaps that is a sign SFMM should invest in its employees and build some breakrooms? BTW, here's a news update for the park: An employee stole $10,000 from SFMM
