BeemerBoy Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 YAY! This thread is back! Exactly! Thanks Soren. Keep up the nice work.
moinab Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 ^ I also really liked it there, but I need to be honest - I was not looking for the hidden mickeys. Â ^Given the fact that you stayed there with your very lovely girlfriend, this comment just made me crack up!! Â That made me lol, too! I'm sure you found plenty of things to do with your time. Â We've never stayed at any of the moderates - we're just too cheap! Â Someday, we will, though - they look so nice!
Hattuchili Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 ^Given the fact that you stayed there with your very lovely girlfriend, this comment just made me crack up!!  umm... Well, you know, what should I tell him... haha  --Soren
Hattuchili Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Hey everyone, I think it is time for the next hotel.  Disney´s Boardwalk Inn  The Boardwalk is one of Disney´s deluxe resorts and you are really see and feel a difference to the cheaper resorts. The rooms are a bit bigger and the whole theming is awesome. We had a room on the second floor with a nice garden view. I really liked the room, everything was in nice bright colors. The good thing with this hotel is the actual Boardwalk infront of the hotel. You can go shopping, get a great meal (at nearly every time) or just relax on the promenade with watching the people and Friendship boats passing by. One bonus is the distance to EPCOT! After a long day, drinking around the world you are back in your hotel after 10 minutes walking or 10 minuted by boat. I always walked the way to the hotel, or better said I was always able to walk. hehe You can also walk to the MGM-Studios which is a 20 minutes walk or take the boat which is the same time. On the other side you can rent a boat and have some fun on the lake or make your way to the MGM-Studios and back. In total I would say it was one of my favorite resorts on the property.  Onto the pictures: --Soren Jelly Rolls - an awesome bar, with 2 piano players, playing against each other! Thats it of today. Make sure to come back for the next update. ... My favorite time there is in the night with all the lights on. I forgot, you also have a great view over to EPCOT view to the Yacht Club We also rent a boat there Even on a bench you find their logo This is a great bakery with a bad service - we had a stupid Castmember there A nice place to dance other side of the pool the water slide The pool - it was to cold to jump in the pool The boardwalk is filled with shops and restaurants on the other side of the lake you will find "Disney´s Yacht and Beach Club". the other side one side view from the hotel okay, lets take a walk - the boardwalk map hmm, nice everything you need 2 beds??? We only need one for ____ ! bathroom Welcome in our room We made it ... on the way to our room ... This hotel is TPR proofed with his own coaster, even it is only a model. The lobby ... ... Welcome to the Boardwalk The Boardwalk
thefitness Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Awesome Update! Â I've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk, but never have. The rooms look really nice, and the water slide would be awesome if it weren't for the clown!
bigstevet07 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Great TR!! The report of the boardwalk reminded me so much of my honeymoon two years ago. We stayed at the Dolphin and venutred over to the bowardwalk a couple of times. There is some good restaurants there.
Chrissie Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Ooooooh!!! Thats where Jelly Rolls is!! I heard lots of castmembers talking about it, but I didnt know where it was! Â Awesome pics Soren! Look forward to seeing some more!
cfc Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I stayed at the Boardwalk with my friends Gary and Linda a few years ago--we really liked it. Dinner at Spoodles was great, too.
Axman Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I stayed at the Swan Dolphin durring the summer of 99'. A true 5-star resort, with instant access to MGM and Epcot. Â We also snuck into the Boarwalk pool to check out that waterslide. Its totaly awsome. Â OMFGFLIP-FLAPMODEL!

Chrissie Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 No! I heard that they didnt let under 21s in If I end up in Disney again next Summer, then I will definitely be trying it out!
Hattuchili Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 ^ Chrissie, are you going back for the international program? Â --Soren
disneygurlz2s Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 More awesome pictures!! I agree with you Soren, Boardwalk is a lovely spot for just people watching and hanging out, and it doesn't really matter if you are kid or an older person. My mom and I enjoyed a nice evening there back in 1997 and it was just really relaxing and fun. Another resort I would LOVE to stay in someday. Â Shari
Axman Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 This is the humble begining of www.themeresortreview.com  ^ Page name hasn't been taken yet--you could totaly do it, Soren!
Hattuchili Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 ^ hmm, I like their resort hotels, but should I start a hobby out of that? I don´t think so, it is to expensive.  --Soren
Chrissie Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 ^ Chrissie, are you going back for the international program? --Soren  Maybe!! I really can't decide!! I want to do something next Summer but I can't decide if I want to do Disney or something completely different. I am definitely going next September for a vacation though!
Hattuchili Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 ^ Chrissie, are you going back for the international program? --Soren  Maybe!! I really can't decide!! I want to do something next Summer but I can't decide if I want to do Disney or something completely different. I am definitely going next September for a vacation though!  My time there was awesome and would do it again. If you have the time I would definitely go the for the IP. You will have a blast and better benefits. Another reason, Epcot would also have a new attraction at the UK Pavilion.  --Soren
Chrissie Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 ^ Yeah, the IP is something im thinking about but I still have 2 years left at University, so I wouldn't be able to do it unil 2009. However, luckily for me, they changed the rules and I can go back for the Summer to do the ICP again!! Â But I really don't know what to do, I had such an amazing time on my last programme that I don't know if doing a 2nd programme would be as fun!
Hattuchili Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 ^ Awesome, I hope I can make it back to WDW to visit you there! Â --Soren
Wes Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yay Boardwalk! I'm likely to be having a extended stay there later this year. Definitely my favorite looks-wise.
BeemerBoy Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yay JellyRolls! Â ^ Wes, if you do, you seriously need to request "The Final Countdown" on the dueling pianos. That would be comic gold.
ginzo Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yay JellyRolls! ^ Wes, if you do, you seriously need to request "The Final Countdown" on the dueling pianos. That would be comic gold.  I always play that song when I do my illusions.
Hattuchili Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 I really like Jelly Rolls. It was always a lot of fun hanging out there... Â --Soren
gisco Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I love the Boardwalk. That is where I stayed last week. Nice place, right between Epcot and MGM.
Nrthwnd Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Nice look at The Boardwalk, Soren. Â We really wanted to do it the one time we were at WDW (spring'87), but the BW was all (literally) booked up for a huge convention of some kind/type. Â Pity we never tried again on any future visits. It looks great. Â And by the way - why hasn't (ahem) D-e-r-e-k tried to 'borrow' that beeyootiful little Loop Coaster Model and add to it to his (probable) already visual themeing in his....bar? Â Yeah Derek, why HAVEN'T you tried to get this little suckah? Looks perfect for shooters, although I have NO IDEA why......hee hee hee.
