There are 3 remaining Tumblebugs in the world. There is one at Youmiriland!

I thankfully got to ride Whalom park's tumblebug before it was dismantled, it's now in pieces at Edaville Railroad in Carver, Mass after being purchased at the auction. Anyone know if they will get it running or what?

Ha!

I prefer "Dragon Coaster" at Yomiuriland, Tokyo, Japan. It was there three weeks ago, so I doubt it's gone now. (I was shocked to see it when I first went to the park, though!)

Double check the story, there might only be two left in the states. I think there a couple more around the world.

I am talking about ones in service. These two are the only two real bugs left. That dragon thing is not abug it is just like that dragon coaster they have at fairs.

And I chose CLP because you can slide around. Kennywood makes you sit on sand paper.

The Yomiuriland one is in service but I agree that it's probably not a "real bug". The two in the states are from the old Traver company and I doubt the one in Japan has any origin from Traver. Obviously the cars are totally different and the ride's construction looks slightly different. The Dragon is surely inspired by the Tumble Bug but it looks more modern. However it is not a carnival style powered dragon coaster.

^Yes, but we are talking about full size Tumble Bugs. The Kennywood Turtle is the last one still operating. There are 2, Chippewa lake Park's which most likely won't operate again, and Conneaut Lake Park's which could operate again someday that are currently are SBNO. There are several small sized Tumble Bugs on the planet, but only 1 full sized one.

^Not sure if it's still there or not (haven't been to Hersheypark in three years), but they did indeed used to have a kiddie version. They also used to have a full sized version that sat across from the Comet. I believe that went away sometime in the '80's.
