Takes a minute to climb 120 feet, and doesn't stop at the top. Brakes at the last possible second with about 5 feet to spare. It's freakin crazy for 120 ft.

Its a really good power drop and space shot combo it pretty much rocks because its not like DDFF b/c instead of launch and come back down it is a launch drop back down a slow lift to the top and then a 7 second wait and then a power drop. You then kinda bounce its pretty fun. Extreme scream car
Swimace Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I've only been on Dr. Doom's Fearfall at IOA. I'd expect that other towers may have better drop sequences, but you can't beat Dr. Doom when it comes to the build up to the launch, the closed room is pretty scary.
Scaparri Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I have to go with Superman: Tower of Power or the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere. I love the combo program and the sheer size of Superman but then again, the view and airtime is righteous on the Big Shot. Tough call.
adc9787 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I would have to say that I like Superman: Tower of Power at SFOT the best. The ride program is really amazing and the flct that the ride is like 315 or 325 feet tall just makes it all the better.

It's Spaceshot @ Walibi World (SFH) Maybe I'll do some more S&S towers this september, when i'm visiting California and Nevada. * Supreme Scream @ KBF * Maliboomer @ DCA * Big Shot @ Stratosphere Tower Las Vegas I don't like that standerd Space Shot. Maybe that will change in september. But until now i'm a big fan of Intamin droptowers. Here is my Intamin top 4 1 - Hurakan Condor @ PortAventura (Multi-drop tower) 2 - Scream @ Heidepark Soltau (Gyro-drop tower) 3 - High Fall @ Moviepark Germany (Gyro-drop tower) 4 - Drop Zone Stunt Tower @ PGA (Giant-drop tower) Maybe i'll do a Intamin 1st-gen tower too this september (SFMM).

coaster1 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 \the thing is that hardly anyone in this forum has rode superman: tower of power, it's the tallest and fastest and most airtime filled of them all, it does a double shot and a turbo drop on just one tower, and it has a cool hat to it, or whatever you put on the top of a tri-tower! It's simply a combo ride, no double-shot program in it as it's too tall. It can do Combo, Turbo Drop or Space Shot depending on the ride switch. Also, double shots have WAY more airtime than combo towers or any other tower (S&S that is). However ... Double Shots rule (Indiana Beach, Magic Springs, Celebration City) Dr. Doom's is great for theming Power Tower's Turbo Drop gets me everytime and ... Big Shot .. thing is insane
weatherkid17 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I am going to have to go with Superman: tower of power at SFOT...even though its the same speed as all the other ones, its awesome in combo mode (only mode I have ever rode it in). shooting up 315 feet, dropping, coming back up, holding you for 10 seconds, and dropping you. its awesome!
