  1. Shanahan > Davey Johnson. "Hi!"
  2. As if they were hiding in a Hobbit hole and didn't notice? Hobbits live in holes, right?
  3. Green Bay vs. Denver/New England. I suppose it's still wide open to an extent, but I'll lean towards experience at QB.
  4. ^ A couple of their songs being a "guilty pleasure" just added to the awesomeness. I'll show you the statistics one day....if I don't "un-friend" you first.
  5. Also in 2012, I was the most awesome person on the planet.* * Based on an independent study. Statistical data and compilation methods are not available to the public.
  6. ^^ You didn't quote him though, so I don't think the kudos count.
  7. Same, although Cuba isn't my number one. Back in the day, I had several yacht captains offer to take me along during their fishing trips there. The only problem was that they always came with a few too many cautionary tales from their prior trips, as well as the line, "but don't worry, the yacht is well armed." Needless to say, I never made the trip, but I'm with you....I'd love to see it before it gets bastardized by tourism one day. 1) Japan. And crazy enough, it's not even for the theme parks...including Disney. The parks are a distant second to the culture. 2) Antartica. The day I can afford a $25,000-50,000 vacation, I'm there! Why? It's tough to explain. It's just such a fascinating environment that not many people can ever say they've experienced firsthand. 3) Italy. Specifically for this....The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como; what I think might be the single most beautiful spot in the world.
  8. We're still discussing this?
  9. I love threads like these because it alerts me to the people I don't wanna hang out with at parks.
  10. It starts with "M" and ends with "oney". Mahoney?
  11. Finally saw Skyfall over the weekend. The first 2/3's of the movie were incredible; however, the ending fell flat. For a story that had so much going for it, including Javier Bardem playing an AWESOME villian, the writers really phoned in the climax. I'll withhold any spoilers, but it really was such a cliched ending. Bond deserved much more. Overall: B+
  12. *shakes head* *face palm* *insert any other internet meme here for amazingly stupid thing said that I'm in disbelief over* I don't get it... While the clientele may be different your actually much more likely to be stabbed on a ski bus. Do you live in a snow globe or something? You know life actually exists outside of ski resorts, right?
  13. ^ Yeah, forgot about that joint. It does look pretty cool from what I've seen thus far.
  14. I've never seen a billion dollar stadium I had less interest in ever visiting than MetLife. I know it's technically in Jersey, but for argument's sake it's in New York.....and for a city that likes to stand out, they have the absolute worst collection of modern pro sports arenas/stadiums of any major city I've ever seen. Anyway, good stuff, Joey. Love to see this thread alive and kickin' again. Maybe I'll find time to revive mine one day as well!
  15. This article lost me at Circus Circus.
  16. It just sickens me to see anyone higher than high school level give this guy another chance. Money talks..sadly.
  17. ^ Good luck with that. I'd quit following my team if that dbag coached it. That's just me though.
  18. ^ Yeah, they've beat a couple good teams...but Denver and Washington didn't start kicking it into gear until after they played Atlanta....and the Saints don't count this year. Atlanta's an above average team for sure; I'm just still not sold on them...yet. Next Sunday will tell everyone where they stand.
  19. After reading back through again, I found this nugget from the OP... Didn't he pretty much answer his own rant? I mean, if you knew that a moderately priced event would probably attract a larger crowd, then why wouldn't you plan ahead, or as Robb mentioned, at least have different expectations? Perhaps it's now just as simple as Busch upping the price next year, a la a Disney hard ticket event (Not So Scary Halloween, Very Merry Christmas)? Maybe then there will be smaller crowds, and less Trip Adviser-type people chomping at the bit to get home, Google the first theme park-related site they find, and post their displeasure with some place's service.
  20. I'll say it again. The Falcons and Notre Dame are one in the same. Neither have really been tested, and both have either squeaked by or lost several games against inferior opponents. I'd rather have 9-10 wins against a tougher schedule than 13-15 against the doormats. We'll see though.
  21. First world problems. Seriously, the same internet that you took the time to create an account on TPR and rant your heart away is the same internet that held the crucial information warning you not to visit a popular holiday attraction on a Saturday. Research is your friend.
  22. I'll try and simplify what I think you're overlooking. A) Yes, flying elephants are cool. B) It's a classic ride. Simple, all ages can ride, and..... C) Many of the adults who are standing in that line with a child probably have memories of riding it as a child themselves. Pardon the pun, but it's the circle of life. D) There's actually three of these type of rides in the same park.
  23. Dropped mine off at the post office this morning. Fingers crossed that A) it makes it there in one piece, and B) he/she likes it!
