  1. Better financial shape does not equal better quality product.
  2. "White Lightning" still sounds like the nickname you'd give the only fast white kid on the high school track team.
  3. ....as a devout Mormon. If a devout Mormon attending one of the most notable Catholic schools in history isn't the biggest headscratcher from the start, then I'm not sure what is. Anyway, these are actually the common sense questions I've been asking since last night, but no news outlet seemed to wanna ask. And since it's Notre Dame we're talking about here, it's never more appropriate for me to call shenanigans on this guy.
  4. ^ I agree, Chuck. I think Octopussy, and Roger Moore in general, are underrated.
  5. Actually, I think my favorite thing about this post is that it's apparently just too difficult to type out the words "to" and "for."
  6. Who are you speaking to, and what the hell does this even mean?
  7. At least it's more entertaining than the championship game.
  8. Is it just me, or do the spikes seem like they'll need a Wicked Twister "enhancement" added?
  9. Young Sherlock Holmes. Young Indiana Jones. Young Anakin Skywalker. Young Carrie Bradshaw. Trust me, if Potter ever begins to fade in popularity, all it will take is for J.K. to put pen to paper ("fingers to keyboard" still just doesn't sound right) and create "Old Harry Potter," or maybe even "Harry Potter, Jr." Money talks. I want more raptors.
  10. Isn't JP4 and the rumored JP "refresh" proof enough that no huge IP at Universal is dead forever? Billion dollar franchises hibernate until the powers that be determine they need to go back to the well. The Potter argument is invalid.
  11. Wait, you argued over this? You guys definitely know how to party.
  12. Whether that comes to fruition or not, I don't know if it's such a bad idea. The "Jurassic Park" franchise is two decades old now. Even with the re-releases, etc., there are going to be a number of people down the line who may not be as familiar with the concept as those of us who grew up with the movie are. If Universal is making a large investment and intends for the Jurassic Park area to continue serving another 10-20 years, adding a dark ride to provide background on just what this place is (essentially a rehash of the plot of the first movie) would be a nice way to keep the theme relevant instead of just having guests wander into "Generic Dino Land," which is what Jurassic Park essentially becomes without some sort of backstory. Either way, it sounds better than the version of the Discovery Center that's there now. Well, I suppose it does go further than Potter does in terms of trying to explain anything. But then again, I'm just taking into consideration that it's generally a pretty stupid "Ooh look, dinosuars and things to climb on" audience we're dealing with here. Personally, I'd just take the opportunity to create an attraction that furthered the story, or at least tied into the most current theatrical release, but that's just me.
  13. While I like the idea of refreshing JP, reading back through it made me think (which is scary in itself). Honestly, I'm not sure who's less creative here...the author of this rumor, or the creative team (should this rumor prove true)? So, you're saying that 20 years later you're gonna provide a slow moving dark ride that rehashes most of the scenes from the original movie that set the stage for the story? Why is my BS meter coming to life all of a sudden?
  14. Same. I'd prefer a re-theme of Toon Lagoon to something cool, but I'll settle for this.
  15. I'd say yes.....absolutely yes. There's really nothing wrong with the Voyage's layout. It's just everything else about it that sucks.
  16. I dislike it being on the west coast. Is there any way you could have the parks moved geographically? Also, the event takes place on Shabbos.....and I don't roll on Shabbos. Thanks in advance.
  17. The last time I rode Voyage (3-4 years ago at Holiwood Nights, if I recall correctly) had me reconsidering the hobby altogether. Seriously, it was that bad. In the years since, when Holiwood Nights rolls around, I've just had Shan kick me in the nuts repeatedly and smash my back with a sledgehammer. Then we take the money we saved on the trip and go to Dollywood instead.
  18. ^ Or just stay at the bar.
  19. The pain and heartache of having to actually plan my vacation, possibly missing out on several Fast Passes, and worst of all - having to wear a wristband, is just too much to endure. Why is Disney doing this to me?!?!? I'm never going there ever again....until October, and maybe May as well. This place sucks!I deserve a medal.
  20. In the AFC.....Go Canes, er, Ravens. In the NFC.....Go Niners.
