I actually went to one of these in Cleveland a few years back. Interesting is a good word to describe it. The side boob action left was less than desirable. The wife spotted a female bladder next to a male one and now she has proof that women are a crappy design. The male bladder was the size of a grapefruit give or take the female one was closer to a plum.

What's a trick pony? I certainly hope that it's not a pony of the night. -

Where did you get the Screamroller pics? Those are rare. -

I can't imagine that section of track not being for a launch as well. I'm curious about the building though. Aren't most electrical buildings fire proof? Isn't WT's building a combination of concrete and brick? -

The dolphin tanks back then were a problem at most parks. The fountain in Spinning Dragons used to be a dolphin tank. http://www.rcdb.com/ig2572.htm?picture=1 -
Does anyone else prefer forceless rides?

I also prefer floating with some occasional forcefulness. -

Your guide was actually the first hit that came up on the google search. I'll mark my calendar and keep my eyes peeled. -

How does one (or two) particpate in Mitch's poll? I've been checking out the site and can't find anything that jumps out and says "take poll here". -

That was an unexpected use of the V supports. -
TW hasn't even recieved much track work yet. A majority of what's been done has been structural. The bobs turn, the entrance to the helix and the turn heading into the brakes is about it. I've always enjoyed TW but I'm really looking forward to next year.

If you've ever wanted to climb all over a classic wood coaster then this week and weekend is the perfect opportunity for you. Joyland in Wichita Kansas is looking for volunteers to help with carpentry work on Roller Coaster. It has a scheduled inspection on the 21st and if it doesn't pass they might tear it down. Even if you don't have hammer swinging abilities there will still be work that you can participate in. Please contact me at jason@coastercommunity.com if you're available any day this week.

Legoland Coming To Kansas
Jive replied to TDMAMBA's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The location makes sense because it's central to several larger cities. A days drive includes St Louis, Denver, Des Moines, Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The cost of land is relatively cheap compared to larger metro areas and the State of Kansas has worked out some sweet development deals with other entertainment companies that are looking for new locations. Keep'um comin' -
It all falls under the Kansas City metro area. I know that other people I've talked to around the country think that we're out in the middle of a wheat field.
-
I hope that it goes through. The proposed location is just 10 minutes away and the new Schliterban location is just 15 minutes away.

Someone over at coaster community posted a photo of some fences coming down behind the forum. http://coastercommunity.com/smf_forum/index.php?topic=273.0 Could it be for a new ride?

I would think that a fence like that would help reduce the amount of dirt and dust leaving the site. -
I've always been a fan of Theme Parks Magazine. They do some of the best photography out there.

I'll stick with the American coasters.

I hate to poop on the story but how do we know that she's going to live? I agree that Hulk may have increased her chances but surviving a brain tumor involves a lot more than just finding it.
