Photo TR: Worlds Of Fun

You've got Patriot wrong, dude. You must have ridden on a bad day, because it is one of the least forceless coasters I've ever ridden. Sit in the far left or right seats in the back for the most intense ride. Other than that, great Photo TR. -

I doubt CW will get anything of that scale for quite some time. -
You are all silly bamboo-heads. Don't you know that drywall is made ofground up donkies? So really, they're the same thing!

Working Models of Roller Coasters

I'm building a working model of something like La Vibora for school, but that's different. Yes, I suggest Ebay. -
Can someone answer a DeJaVu ?.....
steel replied to coasterfriendly's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't worry about falling out. That won't happen. If it does, please, please don't hurt me. Deja Vu harnesses are quite different. If you are lucky enough to get to a park when it's open, ride it. The harnesses are quite snug and there's a "lap" safety belt along with the harness (if my memory is correct). Impulse coaster harnesses are more like regular invert harnesses. There will be some play, but that's necessery for the vertical stop. Without play, this stop would be rather meaningless. -
R.I.P. Orient Express. We shall not forget.

Status, or what we know of it: Wild Thing: Closed, obviously. Steel Force: Currently testing. Mamba: Open. Phantom's Revenge: Open, as far as we know. Quicksilver Express: Open, as far as we know. Santa Monica West Coaster: No idea on this one. I'm fairly sure it uses the same type of train, but it's a very different coaster. Steel Dragon 2000: Closed, of course. Steel Eel: Unknown. Superman el Ultimo Escape: Unknown. To answer your question, Kumba9, Phantom's Revenge does not use Morgan trains. -

I think I can clear this up. This is my post from ThrillNetwork: Seriously, though, I'm leaning toward a coaster with multiple loops. I'm still trying to work out "new direction." We still don't know how literal that is. -
Millennium Force's first drop - Whee! Millennium Force's first overbank - Yahoo! Millennium Force's first tunnel - Yay! Millennium Force's second hill - Whoa! Millennium Force's second and third overbanks - Yipee! Millennium Force's second tunnel - Woo! Millennium Force's puny hill - Wahoo! Millennium Force's turn and straightaway - Yes! Millennium Force's last overbank - Wow! All that and more, including: Raptor's Cobra Roll - Disorientation! All Intamin launches - I love that sudden acceleration, especially on rockets. Storm Runner's Snake Dive - So much twisting... Hades' tunnels - Pitch black, cold, moist, and intense. And more than any previously mentioned (including all the Millennium Force stuff)... Patriot's Zero-G Roll - Incredible airtime in the far left, incredible laterals in the far right. Fun in the middle too!

Steel Venom at Valleyfair!. Yellow, light blue, turquoise, and orange cars. It's supposed to be ugly. They even said that back in 2003 when it opened. -

What do you hate most in a themepark?
steel replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OOOH! I forgot about line jumpers! It's so funny how dumb they are! Seriously, though, if line jumpers or, even better, misbehaving guests, was up there, that would be my answer. At WoF on Saturday, there was a group behind us in line for Patriot. One of them was smoking. Another was about to light up. There were a couple signs that clearly read "NO SMOKING." Under this they said "Violators will be asked to leave the line." We calmly pointed this out to them and the "leader" of their little group started yelling at us. "OMG, you idiot! That's like those 'no trespassing' signs! No trespassing beyond this point! No smoking beyond this point!" Later, in this same line, the group in front of us pulled out their sharpies and began writing on the walls. Sadly, they were granted their ride on the bird, even after being caught twice. -

I don't really mind lines, and bad food does nothing for me - we either bring our own or it's an ACE event. High enterance/food fees do make me mad - my home park, Adventureland, which is puny and rather boring for everyone, is chargin $75 for season passes (and this is a discount). I almost said little girls screaming on rides, but it's mostly the big girls screaming on little rides that I hate. I can't stand it when staff is unfriendly, but I have other more important things to worry about (like whether the park has real mini-donuts). I like theming when it isn't overblown, but I don't really dwell on it. Therefore, closed attractions is my choice. I drive all the way there and it's closed. Tsk, tsk, tsk. At least my home park isn't Fantazy Land, but then I'd be glad everything was closed. -

Interesting. It seems you just decribed Raptor. Let's try Medusa at SFGAdv: Vert. Loop Dive Loop Zero-g Roll Cobra Roll Corkscrew Corkscrew And now Talon at Dorney (along with Patriot at WoF): Vert. Loop Zero-g Roll Immelman Wingover (corkscrew) And how about Hydra: The Revenge?: Inclined Dive Loop Zero-g Roll Giant Corkscrew Cobra Roll Corkscrew I can see where you're coming from, but it just doesn't hold true. -

If you honestly think that Wild Thing is unsafe, you need to take a long walk off a short dock. Honestly, one accident and everyone thinks the ride isn't safe. -

I think it's a good move. I have always had great experiences at CF parks. Then there's the season pass thing - if they get this going for next season I'll be even happier to go to CoasterCon. I've been wondering for a while what they will do with IJ:ST, IJ:ST, and IJ:TC when the time comes. -

I'm afraid you will be very disappointed. They killed Wild Thing about three years ago. I'm very thankful that everyone is alright and that the worst injury was a mild concussion. Also, I'm glad that this happened on the final brake run, when the train was slowing down (as if it wasn't slow enough already ). When I first heard about this yesterday, I was in total shock, mostly because Wild Thing was my first "big" coaster, but also because I was on Mamba all day on Saturday. There really isn't reason to keep any of their other coasters (including Quicksilver Express) closed for more than a day or two, so don't get worried about that. Also, remember that this is a one-in-a-million occurance, and the chances of it happening twice in a short period of time are even worse. I will certainly be riding every Morgan I can get my hands on, including Wild Thing. All I can say is that I hope it's open for Coaster Craze and Pres Con.
