Whats happening to TTD?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! THE APOCOLYPSE IS UPON US!!! The Ohio Board of Amusement Parkiness must have deemed Gemeni as two coasters and Demon Drop as one. -

This thread is great. Just take a peek at that webcam if you still have a doubt. -

Does anyone else prefer forceless rides?

Alright, you guys know I was exaggerating a little about being blacked out for most of the ride. I was blacking out after the loop, after the zero-g, through the spiral, at the bottom of the hill, through the corkscrew, through the helix, and at the bottom of the dip. I will definately ride it again next time I'm in the area. The same way I have an insane urge to ride Dragon every time I go to Adventureland. Guys, a lot of you are misinterpreting this thread, I think. This isn't about rides with no airtime, just about rides with lung-crushing positives. -

Talon absolutely sucked. You aren't supposed to be blacked out for nearly an entire ride. On top of that, it was rougher than a lot of Boomerangs I've been on. -

Something must be wrong with me. I loved Raptor but I hated Talon. EDIT: OMG! I just realized that someone called Apollo's Chariot floater forceless! I have to ask: Did you fall out before the last drop? -

The fact that Patriot isn't on that list boggles my mind just as much. -

That is really frightening. I wonder how they still have a clean record. Another example of the incompetance here. At CoasterCon, we were trying to get in a nightride without tunnel lights before ERT started. A lot of GP were still in line. If you know anything about Hades, you know it has awful capacity. So this huge line of mostly GP waits forever, we get to the station and they say, no, you can't ride unless you have a yellow wristband (ACErs). We told them that they should have closed the line already if they wanted to prevent this. They're excuse was about as feeble as their training. "We yelled it down from the station about 15 minutes ago." They did end up getting to ride, after a LOT of persuasion, but only a few of them. -

I am all for the startup of TPR awards. I think that's a great idea. Of course, not many parks would actually pay much attention or care... BTW, DATman, Little Miss Sunshine could be the funniest movie I have ever seen. -
^Not quite true. No matter when you go, you'll wait at least five minutes for Spinning Dragons. But yeah, go on a Tuesday or a Thursday. Patriot's line is nonexistant.

^You are physically able to ride Talon more than twice in a day? I definately agree with you. Well, for the most part. Hydra was wildly boring. I think forcefulness is great in moderation. But when every element on a ride is constant positive force, the ride sucks, e.g. Talon. I cannot stand blacking out. I think it's completely unnecessery. A ride can be perfectly enjoyable without this. Look at Millennium Force. As a general rule, if a ride disables me (as Talon did - couldn't feel my legs afterward) it has too much force. I must say, however, that I did enjoy GL's Double Loop, even with the intnse g's during the loops. -
I don't see why everyone hates Timber Wolf. It's not the best ride in the world, but it gives awesome airtime. It isn't even that rough anymore. You should've ridden it two years ago before they started retracking. How did you like Patriot? You must confess that it is a brilliant ride in the back.

You knew it was coming. Patriot's are really nice. They're very simple. Every other row has a row of stars. They look slanted, maybe even a little curved while in the station. However, they're slanted in such a way that the row is perfectly straight while travelling up the lift hill. That's some pretty creative stuff. -

Holy crap. Some big problems here. How is it that Euro-Mir gets a spot on the Top 50 but Patriot doesn't? WHY IS SOB ON THAT LIST?!?!?! More, WHY DID IT COME IN AHEAD OF TIMBER WOLF?! -

I can never breathe when I feel possesed to ride Dragon at Adventureland. You may think you pinned yourself at the beginning of the ride, but that helix will push it down one or two notches. -

Me too. I could ride the one at Como Town for weeks and never get bored with it. Right behind Intamins for me as well. They run for like five minutes straight, and you get awesome air every time. I've never felt unsafe on it. -

STRIP! STRIP! STRIP! I'm getting sick of the parody. It was okay at first, but now it just seems like you ran out of ideas. -
I think the lack of the pre-drop is one of the few redeeming qualities on Hydra (along with the Jojo roll and the second little hop after the cobra roll). It gives great airtime in the back row. I much prefer B&Ms when they don't have it. Not that it ruins the ride. It works really well on inverts, Raging Bull, and Apollo's Chariot. But you get a more interesting drop in the back without it (again, if it's a straight drop - the lack of it on any invert would be useless).

Wish I could see it, but that page is taking ages to load now. Maybe it would be wise to post some new ones on a different page. -
Yes, yes, yes. I agree completely. That was the exact reaction Patriot got when it was announced. "WTF? It's a Talon clone! It's gonna suck!" Do most people not enjoy Talon? Do you not see the actual ADVENRTISEMENT for weightlessness? What's the point? Sheikra is a hugely popular ride, and a good one (from what I've heard). Yeah, Griffon is very similar up until the second drop, but does that somewhow ruin the ride? Two Immelmans! I'll be working out just to fight for an end seat in the back row. Imagine how quick the station wait will be, with ten people boarding at once. I think it looks awesome. A perfect addition to BGE. It will complement Alpie's colors nicely, and will most likely be a top five attraction in my book, ahead of Apollo's Chariot. BTW... http://www.buschgardensnews.com/060822_Griffon_Web/ppages/ppage5.html Look! They painted Sheikra and added new trains! Woot! Looks like BGE's Marketing department has access to Photoshop.
