  1. That really doesn't make people want to join your site, Topdrag. It says "I'm desparate for members so I'm restricting access to pictures that can be found elsewhere at slightly lower quality."
  2. Asr, I hope you don't mind that I'm stealing your idea. I didn't mean to. The only really smooth B&M I've ever ridden with OTSR's is Patriot. The rest either have rough spots or are headache-inducing. Actually, I've ridden it with all the lights on and I thought it was more fun. They were probably doing maintanence or something when that happened. I wish it didn't stop on the MCBR as well, but I certainly don't think it "kills the rest of the ride." The sign shop hasn't gotten there yet and they don't want their employees to have to stay until midnight. So you don't die. Because SFKK is the crappiest park ever. But you're right, they should. Because they know how much that affects your experience at the park and they feel like annoying you personally. Genetics.
  3. They are not as nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Do tell. I'm not RCFreak, but I HAVE had my horse collar pop open on an Invertigo and I must say that I am very glad that the safety belt was there, otherwise I would have plummeted to my death when it shockingly opened up as I was going up the lift hill in reverse. So yes, they aren't nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Not only are those made by Vekoma, but the restraint system is totally different.
  4. I know of a really good website, but I can never find it and have neglected to put it under favorites.
  5. They are not as nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Do tell. The other thing that annoys me is when people complain about amusement parks that have absolutely nothing wrong with them, namely Cedar Fair parks. Sure, I wish MIA had a couple more coasters and no Corkscrew. Yes, I do think that Valleyfair! is the ferociously underappreciated half of Cedar Fair. And of course I can find something wrong with Cedar Point. And I wish that Worlds of Fun would take out Heart of America Theatre and add a roller coastrer because it's a waste of space. I totally understand those complaints. But why the f$&% is it important that they have a small surplus of trash cans or that they use concrete paths? I found more concrete at Holiday World. Either way, I think it looks nice. And it also really bugs me when they complain about staff at CF parks (especially Kings Island). Kings Island's staff was far and away the best staff I have ever encountered at a Cedar Fair park. They were fun, helpful, patient, and cheerful. The point is that you're trying to fix what was never broken just to say that you fixed it, and that gets on my nerves.
  6. Arrows that have pointless safety-belts on their horsecollars.
  7. I hope it's not Oranga. That ruined HHE for me and it'll ruin this, too.
  8. While true, that's completely beside the point. With that logic, though. Inverted coasters are always upside-down and regular above-the-track coasters are never upside-down. And an inline twist absolutely does not necessarily mean an inversion. Top Thrill Dragster certainly has an inline twist, but there are no inversions there.
  9. That reminds me of that WaMu add. "Hey. Woah, are you naked? Okay, whatever floats your boat, but you don't need clothes to start up with WaMu."
  10. You're right, I have not ridden it. However, it absolutely does not go completely upside-down. You need only look at it to see that. It is not an inversion in my book unless a rod protruding straight out from your head would touch the ground straight on. This one would clearly touch the ground at a 45* angle. You may feel like you're upside-down (I feel like I'm inverted on regular impulses, so this one must enhance that feeling), but you are not.
  11. I'm strict about inversions. If they aren't 180* upside-down or really freaking close, they aren't inversions. Immelmans push it, but I still count them. That clearly is not completely upside-down, and is therefore not an inversion.
  12. (continued from opposing thread) In taking the PSAT, I missed a test in German and a test in Algebra II. And I'm going to miss the written half of the German test tomorrow as I take the PLAN test. Too many tests in so little time.
  13. I took the PSAT today, and it was REALLY easy. It was way easier than all the end-of-the-year standardized tests. I wasn't expecting that. But... (see opposing thread)
  14. ^I don't know where people get that. If you asked pretty much any ACEr what their favorite woodie was, they would immediately reply "Voyage." I know. I told an ACEr that I prefered Beast at CoasterCon this year and I got my ass chewed for about ten minutes. And yeah, I do prefer Beast. The jackhammering is what makes it fun for me. It's like being five years old again. I can't get enough of it. It makes me giggle. It does get to be a little much in some seats, but it never hurts nearly as much as some parts of Voyage.
  15. You're in my prayers tonight, bud. I don't know what I'd do if that happened to me.
  16. I don't know what you're talking about with the jackhammering. It's bouncy, yeah, but that's what makes the helix enjoyable. I wouldn't like it at all if not for that feeling.
  17. I didn't say that I think you believe that it's reliable. I was talking aobut the fact that everyone seems so sure of this, but it's coming from a rumor site. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
  18. *posts* Now gimme some coaster porn.
  19. Yes, because Screamscape is so reliable.
  20. Um, the red is from S:UE. It is yellow...
  21. Yay! Conceivable proof of Villain's imminant doom! But I do weep for the loss of RWB. I'm sad that I only got to ride it once. Hopefully they don't to do much damage at KI.
  22. Seems like we had about the same experience, except it was packed and 95* when I was there. So yeah, my day was probably worse than yours. I agree totally. Twisted Twins is so incredibly boring. It was hard for me to bring myself to get the other credit. It's such a waste of space. And it doesn't even duel after the first drop. There are all those potential fly-bys that don't happen. T2 is by far my least favorite roller coaster. I would rather get a degree at Harvard Law than ride T2 one more time.
  23. It's named after me. Actually, my cousin's old boyfriend got a few pictures on bottles.
  24. *drool* Ooh, yum, sushi. Why must you taunt me so?
