  1. Lol, four people died because they slipped on a staircase?
  2. Ooh, keep us posted on this recreation. Indiana Beach has got to be one of the hardest recreations there is.
  3. Yuck. I could understand a small price increase, but this is outlandish. Excited to see the new food, though. I hope it will be good.
  4. ^Will the price of unlimited ride bands increase? If not, it would take eleven visits to pay for a pass. That's ridiculous, especially compared to the three or maybe four visits to a Cedar Fair or Six Flags park that it takes.
  5. The show is called Tak and the Power of Juju, not Tak Attack. That would be stupid. And don't call it Tree Swing. That was the dumbest name ever (well, except for Orange Streak). It will forever be known as The Kite-Eating Tree.
  6. Here is mine. If people stopped being idiots, The Beast would be at [1]. [1]The Voyage [2]Renegade [3]The Raven [4]Avalanche [5]Cornball Express [6]Hades [7]Kentucky Rumbler
  7. Well, I don't think I actually have ever "haven" any food. Let alone at amusement parks. Best: Mini-donuts at Adventureland IA. Best mini-donuts outside of the MN State Fair, guarenteed. Worst: Just about anything else at Adventureland IA. There's a truly gross Mexican place just around the corner from the mini-donuts.
  8. I would hardly call HP's Wild Mouse a kiddie coaster. It's far more intense than many rides twice its size. #1: Unnamed kiddie coaster at the Winnesheik County Fair #100: Talon: The Grip of Fear at Dorney Park #150: The Voyage at Holiday World Hopefully I'll make 200 this season.
  9. Actually, I'd like to see the study they did comparing shopping carts to roller coasters. This is one of my hugest pet peeves. I HATE that it's basically impossible to get this word out. Of course, the only people they listen to are park PR Reps. What I really want is for Robert Coker to be interviewed. He's not an idiot, he can put a nice-sounding sentence together, and he's written a book.
  10. Yeah, except SYL is getting Danny Phantom and they're close.
  11. Yes, but at least the entrance has some sort of shape. This is so one-dimensional. It's a box.
  12. ^^That's because it was the only one this year in the States that was not caused by a pre-existing medical condition or by guest behavior. I was at SFKK the day that happened, and the whole time we were there, something just felt wrong. It was stifling out and the staff was being completely uncooperative. I can't really explain what it felt like. It was really strange. Needless to say, we were very sad when we heard the news that night at Holiday World, albeit somewhat unsurprised.
  13. Ghost Blasters is staying the same, isn't it?
  14. Around 8 people will die next year at amusement parks. Of those eight: Four will be on roller coasters. Two will be on other rides. Two will not occur on a ride. Five will be caused by unsafe guest behavior. One will the result of a brain aneurism. One will be caused by operator error. One will be caused by a mechanical malfunction or lack of safety. No matter what, though, you're way more likely to win the Powerball at its highest.
  15. #200 Go west Cedar Point (somehow - a friend of mine is the fetus of a coaster enthusiast and I need to get her to Point to push her into full geekdom) MOA grand opening, if they have one 100th ride on Patriot work at Adventureland IA part time ride Renegade again
  16. Ugh, change that station, it's hideous! Other than that, though, it's pretty much as expected. Looks great.
  17. OMG I LOVE The Host! Awesome movie!
  18. Wow, it's rare to see a well-designed flyer in RCT, but this looks really good. You kept it simple this time, and that was a good idea.
  19. Those first photos were fantastic. Great job. They really make the rides look beautiful, as though they were meant to be sculpture. It's been fun to look through this thread at some of these photos.
  20. Yeah, but the thing is, Hersheypark isn't all that commercial in the first place. Not suggesting any drastic changest or anything, but you might want to rethink some of it.
  21. I didn't actually ride anything. That's not the twist, but you should know. It was Thanksgiving, I was with family. It wouldn't have been practical to go to the park. So I just stopped there on the way home to take pictures. Some parts of the park really don't look different at all, and some parts look like crash sites. Ghost Blasters looks really strange without MMR right next to it. The new store clashes terribly with its surroundings, but when everything else conforms to it, it will look better. Still no vertical construction anywhere. I saw a sign near Timberland Twister that hasn't gone up yet. It was facing down, so I don't know what it was for (Looty could probably tell you), but it's the same size and shape as the ones for RBP, Splat-O-Sphere, and Avatar. I assume that will be going up soon. Other than that, there really isn't much to tell. Now it's over. Thanks for reading. Hi, TPR. Or Yoda, for all you Star Wars fans. IKEA is basically Jesus in his natural form. !!! Yum. I <3 IKEA. Just kidding. No more Snoopy dish... What's that? You didn't catch the twist? Well, neither did I. Sorry. ... ... There's that store again. ... ... Coming back around to the other side of the Airbender site. I have to say, Snoopy is going to be sorely missed. ... Different angle. This is where that sign is. As does PBLC. Timberland Twister seems to be okay. ... How long have these snazzy ticket booths been there? ... ... ... Splat-O-Sphere and Avatar sites. I don't have real high expectations for this ride. It may surprise me. Merch. ... ... Omgfooter. Mechanical blah. They stood up that big yellow tube from the webcam. I still don't understand the dirt. That's just weird. Never seen that before. Thar she be. Coming up to the Euro-Fighter site. Construction around Ripsaw's lift. I expect this is what the normal style will be. The new store. From the third floor.
  22. Yeah, I agree. A large portion of Adventureland's staff is retired. It has its fair share of high school and college students, but most of them are senior citizens.
  23. Other than the fact that the queue for Baja Blast is way too short (and therefore not aesthetically pleasing), it looks great. Just lengthen that queue and put sum boards underneath it to maintain the "boardwalk" look. Sort of like V2's overflow queue that they almost never use at SFGAm (build it like a bridge).
  24. I got one from CS a long time ago. It's not fantastic, but the layout is correct. It was made before CF bought GLP, so it's not Dominator, it's Batman. Same coaster, though. Look there.
  25. I was at the park earlier today. I'll post a PTR soon. Still no vertical construction, obviously, but the park looks very weird all that dirt. I barely even recognized Ghost Blasters without MMR next to it.
