  1. O_O That is a seriously outstanding ride. It blew my mind. I have no doubts that if it were real, it would be number one in the world. Honestly, this coaster made me want to die in hopes that I would be reincarnated as you.
  2. When is Windigo getting a second train? It's way to big to have a one-train operation. IMO, Windigo is the best coaster you've done in RCT3, even if it is launched. It's fantastic.
  3. If it's supposed to have a second "i," it could be sitdown twister. Mountain Lion? Sabretooth Tiger?
  4. OMG, best screenshot EVER! I love how the guy next to him is like "WTF is this guy doing?!"
  5. I'm not mad at you or anything, I just had really awful experiences with just about every employee we came into contact with at Kentucky Kingdom. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they're trying really hard to improve the rest of the park after the accident on Tower of Power. I realize why you didn't mention T2. I was just being sarcastic because it's such a crappy ride. I really wasn't trying to make it a big deal or anything. Just stating my opinion. I'm glad you had a good time at Beech Bend. You're right about the employees - they are really, really good. Does anyone have a picture of BB's map? It's comically awesome.
  6. Wait a second... did you just say that the staff was "great?" Which Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom did you go to? I don't think I've ever heard of the one you're describing. I loved the total leaving out of T2 in your Trip Report.
  7. O_o I love you. The new coaster is a dsownt twister and it's called Denture Attack. That's my guess.
  8. Super. Make it a lake surrounded by hills that are covered in trees. Looking forward to the update.
  9. Still looks REALLY good. I meant overboard with the coasters, yes. There was way too much in that park and a lot of it was really unrealistic. It's just not my style of park.
  10. I can't believe no one has said this yet. The Whip is by far the best ride at Dorney Park. Steel Force is fun too, though. I caught a low-trim ride last year and it was sweet. Almost as good as Mamba. Thunderhawk was way more fun for me than people make it out to be. It really isn't all that rough (at least if you're near the front) and the antirollbacks actually make the ride good. Don't get me started on Talon. I pray every night that I just caught it on an off day and that it isn't nearly as horrible as it was both times I rode it. Hydra is fun if you sit in the back row. The front row really does nothing for me on this ride. It's really obvious that your feet aren't about to be ripped off (you're going to slow for something this drastic most of the time anyway) and it's a lot rougher in the front. The back is almost forceful and there's good airtime in a couple places.
  11. I would totally eat at that picnic table in the last picture every day. Can we get a POV from that table. Really good park. Just don't go overboard like you did with HHE.
  12. This looks really good. I'm excited to see what happens next. One thing, though: you only seem to be representing wilderness from the corners of America. What about the Heartland? Minnesota has one of the most beautiful wilderness areas anywhere, the Boundary Waters, and it would be really cool to see that as an amusement park.
  13. Really good TR. It seems like you really enjoyed yourself. You didn't miss anything with Tomb Raider (unless you enjoy pain and a large excess of blood in your brain). Since when is Firehawk comfortable? Last time I checked, the seat cuts into your back in several places. Firehawk was probably my least favorite ride when I was at Kings Island (keeping in mind that SoB was closed). It was slow, boring, and uncomfortable. I'm not going to say that those of you who are saying that B&Ms are uncomfortable are wrong, but they're a damn sight better than Vekomas, and they only really get uncomfortable when you're stacked at the station. If you don't get pinned, they feel like pillows during the ride. It's brilliant.
  14. I've been going to (Lutheran Bible) Camp for several years now. I went to NeSoDak in Watertown, SD in 2002 and 2003, Outlaw Ranch in Custer, SD in 1993, 2003, and 2007, Klein Ranch in Isabel, SD in 2005. I'm planning to go to Atlantic Mountain Ranch in Custer, SD next summer. I also went to Waldsee, the Concordia German Language Village in northern Minnesota in 2002 and I got back last week from Wilderness Canoe Base, which is in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. My dad worked at camp for most of the 80's and I'm planning to work at Outlaw and/or Klein when the window of opportunity opens up. So I guess you could say that I know what I'm talking about. Camp isn't all making lanyards and doing obstacle courses like you see in movies. I've never made a lanyard at camp and the closest thing I've done to an obstacle course is a ropes course. If you want to work at camp, be a counselor. An office job won't be nearly as interesting and you probably won't have as much fun. A counselor needs to be on all the time. You need to be cheerful, respectful, and optomistic from the time you wake up to the time you turn the lights out in your cabin. If you don't have the right attitude, your campers will not get the experience they could be getting. That's the biggest part. You also need to have a good influence on the campers. If you complain about chores on site, they'll complain about chores on site. If you talk about other counselors behind their backs, they'll talk about other campers. You'll almost definitely go to at least one Counselor in Training class and they will tell you everything you need to know. Obviously, I can't speak from experience, but from everything I've heard, it's an outrageously awesome thing to do. "It takes a tremendous amount of courage to go away to camp and do things a little differently than the rest of the world. When the kids come to the end of the week, we don't even realize anymore that we've been away from all the "stuff" that clutters our life in the world outside of camp." - Anonymous Counselor Do it.
  15. That's very close to my childhood home. Maybe five minutes away. We've got a lot of friends in the Cities, but we're fairly sure they're all okay (thank God).
  16. $5450. That's comforting.
  17. She originally had a longer version that explained a lot more, but she thought it was badly written. I'm fine with this one. I don't think we really need to know all of that. Anyway, she wants to do a "Harry Potter Encyclopedia" some day, so you'll find out then.
  18. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me when and why sexy left. I didn't even realize it was happening. Where did it go, anyway? I want to go back and ride Renegade again. I would have loved to go, but I was in the Boundary Waters and it would have been quite improper to leave before finishing my trip. BTW, you aren't allowed to ride Mild Thing period if you're over 54". Not even with a kid.
  19. Why must "I'm not a fan" be an option? Haters make me sick because they either have never bothered to read the books or they're determined to think of them as children's stories. IMO: 7>5>6>3>1>4>2
  20. This book is fantastic. It is everything I hoped for and much, much more. I've read it twice now. MASSIVE SPOILERS (names of all deceased): I'm going to be pretty effing mad if this movie isn't totally awesome. The Battle of Hogwarts was, IMO, the best fight scene ever. This book is deliciously dark and far more mature than all the others put together. Blimey, over 20 people die in this book, and every single one adds to the story. 1 - Professor Burbage 2 - Hedwig 3 - Mad-Eye Moody 4 - Rufus Scrimgeor 5 - German woman 6 - Gregorovitch 7 - Bathilda Bagshot 8 - Ted Tonks 9 - Dirk Cresswell 10 - Gornuk 11 - Peter Pettigrew 12 - Dobby 13 - Vincent Crabbe 14 - Fred Weasley 15 - Fenrir Greyback 16 - Severus Snape 17 - Remus Lupin 18 - Nymphadora Tonks 19 - Colin Creevey 20 - Harry Potter 21 - Bellatrix Lestrange 22 - Tom Riddle I was in tears more than once (I don't care, these people were like family). The end was spot on. This book is perfect. Thank you so much for the ride, Joanne.
  21. Well, it's not quite Peanuts, but at least it's better than "The Park at MOA." There's virtually no chance that Ghost Blasters will not become "Danny Phantom's Ghost Blasters." and the Ferris Wheel will almost definitely be "Dora's Treetop Lookout" or something. I really hope they don't change PBLC's theming too much. I for one am WAY excited about the Euro-Fighter and the Half Pipe. Who cares about the themes?
  22. Oh, dear God, put that thing out of its misery.
  23. So far... Six Flags Over Texas Adventureland (IA) Worlds of Fun (2 days) Valleyfair! Michigan's Adventure Cedar Point Memphis Kiddie Park Geauga Lake Kings Island (4 days) Stricker's Grove Wonderpark Coney Island (OH) Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Holiday World (2 days) Beech Bend Park Indiana Beach Six Flags Great America
  24. Malfoy broke the prophecy to save time. It's not anything to get upset about. Did somebody just say that 3 was directed well? WHAT?! I'm fairly sure that Cuaron read 3 without bothering to read the others. He added all kinds of stuff that changed the feel of the story completely, put in the cheesiest ending possible, put everything out of order, loaded it with obvious flaws, and made the most obvious Hollywood choices (like the clock tower - anyone could have thought of that). That movie is WAY overblown. The only good thing about it is that the trio FINALLY learned how to act.
  25. It's not filler. Order of the Phoenix focuses on relationships and backstory. It's the "growing up" book in the series. Of course, with that logic, all the books are "filler to make the necessary transition," so I guess you're right.
