Robb all I would like is some better animated smileys and a waterpark board... Oh and maybe some stars by my name... I like stars... EDIT: Actually a chat feature would be cool. Although I am never sure how much that sort of thing would be used. I love IRC because of the way it can be used kinda passively just watching for messages. Plus I have a really damn sweet client for OSX

RazorEdge it sounds like Maure-Sohne might have a fairly similar idea... Check out the RoboTower http://www.maurer-soehne.de/en/?/en/Amusement/Navigation.htm -

Unfortunately many of the turns can't be done in RCT3... I've tried to get close on many rides but have never been quite happy. -

Thats been my biggest problem with Italian Job from the start... I mean it has what 12 people per train... How many trains? There is no way they are going to do even close to 1000 people per hour... How is this thing going to even be able to handle any crowds. I'm kinda biased against it because I hated the movie but seriously they have made much better films. I still say a Sky Captain ride would be amazing... (Robb I officially need a drooling face...) -
Augggghhh the colors... Too bright... Seriously though WTF were they thinking.

I love how you can see where the skin ends on that shot Robb. -
What you mean good narration? None of the terribly acted bits between something that could be considered remotely action oriented. Seriously though Waterworld had some cool parts. The bit where they launch the jetski under the wall and some of the explosions were cool. Overall though it was pretty painful. The worst thing was that Batman show I was talking about at SF:OT was setup as like a stunt shoot. So they keep pausing and saying now we are going to film such and such. OMG it was terrible you saw the stunt men bouncing on trampolines and stuff on some of the falls. Ack!!! Six Flags shouldn't be allowed to do stuntshows. Honestly why hasn't anyone made a tongue in cheek stuntshow? I mean seriously make fun of the bad acting and stuff. Joke around with the audience. It could be incredibly funny if they got the right people.

What is this CD you speak of... Oh wait was this that thing that people used to listen to music on before the iPod was invented... Gotta love Harddrive music players.

Damnit Robb now you have me interested... I have never enjoyed a stunt show before and was especially disappointed when the plane didn't launch when I went to see Waterworld at Universal Hollywood. All the shows I have seen were terrible. Worst was a Batman show at Six Flags Over Texas... 30 min late because of technical difficulties in high 90's and it was just complete and utter crap.

Yeah I would love to see them do something with Tidal Wave (I refuse to call it Greased Lightning... What a terrible name). I hate to think of any ride just sitting and rusting. Of course at least it wasn't scrapped like other Six Flags rides... I mean seriously there are Six Flags parks that need rides! Ours for one. Truth be told though I am hoping for a Screaming Squirrel or maybe a Maurer Söhne X-Car. I would love either.

Hell they could probably move Flashback to Elitch Gardens here and it would still be smoother than our Boomerang... I haven't ridden Flashback but I can't imagine anything being as rough as the boomerang here... Seriously imagine 3 hits of whiplash when you hit the chain lift portion. Yeah I have no idea how it hits you 3 times but it manages to suck that hard. Oh BTW Robb thanks for the edit. Your comment on it is hilarious though. All people should grab Firefox and install Spellbound.

Red Dwarf... Yep what a great show. I really hope the movie gets made one of these days. www.reddwarf.com It is well worth checking out if you haven't seen it. Seriously british comedy but who wouldn't laugh at 3 guys alone in deep space with no chance of ever meeting a woman... Especially when 1 is evolved from a Cat, 1 is a hologram unable to touch anything (well for the first 4 seasons), and the other is possibly the most slobby entity in the universe. Oh and just btw there were two pilots made trying to bring the series to the US but as usual somehow they screw up all the subtleties that make the original so good and end up with crap.

If you can get to the UCES stuff it is great... Unfortunately filesize limits here don't allow it and I wasn't able to get the file the last few times I tried. http://www.rct2uces.com/ Thats the site. Hope it works. Otherwise I wasn't able to get it. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

Um no offense Mr. Six but you haven't been to too many parks have you... I haven't seen many parks where the theming isn't falling apart on some ride. Ultimately it would cost a lot for theming to be kept at the absolute tip top of condition. I mean lets face it even Disney has some rides that famously have effects missing because they were just too hard or expensive to maintain. Theming always breaks down over the years and people are worried about how quickly this will happen. Honestly I remember how cool Test Track was the first year and heard that some of the effects are down now. Kinda a bummer but thats life... Especially under Eisner. -
You know there was supposed to be a game for the 32x that had you play as a hamster... Very strange... Wonder why that system failed... Bet someone thinks I am lying but here is a link... http://www.q-design.com/examples/Games/Hamster.html Yeah it was real... Real Crazy!!

I can relate... Except that my parents have all sorts of stories about how I used to eat everything when I was a baby. So I get all sorts of grief like "Oh you used to eat it why don't you eat it now"... Yeah lots of fun after some 20 odd years of it... Still I'm slowly getting better. I can stand a bit of tomato sauce (still don't really like it) and I am trying to taste more things. It drives me nuts though because people are always telling you how good something is and then it really doesn't taste that good to me... I guess everyone has different taste buds and the like. I just wish that some of the foods didn't give me a gag reflex as they go down... That is a dead giveaway when you don't exactly love something.

B&M vs Intamin
kenshinmac replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like Intamin... As a company they just seem dangerous. They are willing to take risks and make absolutely crazy rides. B&M is just too conservative now. They build rides that are fun but well yeah they won't stick out in anyones minds. Intamin creates some ungodly twisted layouts with launches, involves water, and with the lovely track. I mean who doesn't love the Intamin track design I mean it just has some sort of simple elegance that no other track matches. Plus no matter what seat it looks like you are about to fly off the track I honestly wish Intamin had some more inverteds as they looks sweet and from what I have heard are smooth but throw you around a bit (has anyone ridden one? give feedback please... I'm sure Robb has). I really want to know more about that ride in Lotte World in South Korea... Blast out of the water... Anyone seen a review of it? I still can't find a real pic of it operating... -
Welcome to the wrong board for this kind of post... Seriously... But hey welcome anyway...

I'm sorry but honestly that has to be the sillyest looking ride ever... I mean this rivals some of the worst things posted on this site. Seriously what was Paramount thinking... They have much better movies. They better make a Sky Captain ride... -
I don't think people that haven't been in an earthquake can relate... Oh and that ride at Universal is just crap... Fun but nothing like an earthquake. Honestly imagine what it would feel like if the ground which you just take for granted that it will always be solid just started shifting underneath you. It can move slightly up and down or shift just side to side or a combination but it isn't solid anymore. Oh and asking about what you do when one happens. Well it depends on how strong it is and whether you can get your feet under you. Usually you just scramble for whatever cover is close by. Thats what you are trained to do really and you just get on with it. Oh and you haven't seen street lamps whip around until you see them in an earthquake... Man those things can move a lot without breaking...
