This Thursday I was at Kemah for their Rock the Boardwalk event, not really caring about the crap band playing by the Boardwalk in, myself and my little brother went to go ride rides. Of course I have to hit up BB once or twice. However, after my first neck-jarring ride that night, I was greeted by a pungent, foul smell on the brake run. I looked over the side of my car, and I counted at least 5 piles of vomit that had not appeared to be cleaned up. Despite this I did ride 2 more times that day, albeit on the opposite side of the train. On both of those rides it did not appear as though an op had attempted to clean up any of it. In fact, the only time the ops tried to clean up any vomit that I saw, was when someone vomited all over the front seat of the ride. Now I can understand maybe the ops not seeing the vomit on the brake run for a while, but these piles were there until the ride closed at 9 PM. The smell could not be smelled in the station, but after a short walk out on to the brake run the cloud would hit you like a ton of bricks. Is something like this normal at other parks? Or is this just a testament to Kemah's bad Ride Ops? I've had some really bad ones while I was there, but this crew was by far the worst.

I find all the celebration to be quite disturbing to be honest. While celebrating the takedown of the Al Qaeda is one thing, I find the people who are baking cakes because of someone's execution pretty sick.

I have to admit, I'm not much of a side scrolling game person (except of course when it comes to Mario! That's a whole different story! ) But this game looks pretty awesome! It's a shame I don't have a DS anymore. If I happen to find my DS I may just get a copy so I have something really fitting to play while listening to Amon Amarth! I'm kind of curious though, what exactly do you do as far as the development process of the game goes? I see on IMDB that you are a producer, but what exactly does that job entail?

Great work here! I noticed that you said you use HO scale model railroad trucks for your wheels, what brand do you use? It looks like the wheel treads are plastic, and those tend to have relatively high coefficients of friction. (I.E. they don't roll well.) If you ever want to invest in a single set of really good wheelsets, I'd recommend using some Blackstone Models HOn3 (HOn3 means HO scale, 3 foot gauge.) trucks. They are a bit smaller (seeing as they are trucks for 3 foot gauge model trains.) and they roll, quite literally, forever. I dropped one pair on my floor and it rolled all the way across my house, a good 40 feet. They are however very expensive at nearly $10 for one pair. But I find them to be worth it! Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with what you are doing now, I just thought I might make a small recommendation.

Not necessarily; they could have likely just put a section of different track types there for showcase purposes. It's already been confirmed that multiple tracks can be made on a single map.

A little something I'm working on. I'm quite pleased with how it's coming out too! Iron Horse 450x800.bmp It looks really plain and straight right now, but the helix is the start of a twister section. Supports are also nowhere near final. Just Auto Supports to give an idea of what the finished product will look like. Also, BRTeller: Your park looks great! It looks like it could use some landscaping and foliage though. (Although you probably just haven't gotten to that yet.) It looks really nice, but the blank, flat areas between the rides and midways make it lack that "pop" it certainly should have.

My stepfather is annoying as all hell. He's too freaking histrionic, EVERYTHING is a big deal. It's the end of the world if someone doesn't do something he wants, or if something he wants doesn't get done on time. He is also a horrendous control freak. I'm 17, ten months away from being a legal adult, and he expects me to adhere to a bed time of 10:30. (Fuck that, I don't.) I'm also not allowed to hang out at the mall with my friends if I should desire to. I'm also not allowed to have any sort of candy or soda because it has that one god forbidden thing in it: sugar. However, he buys over 48 cans of Diet Dr Pepper for himself a week. (This is no exaggeration, he goes through two 24 can cases of the stuff in a week.) I just can't stand it, I feel freaking suffocated in my own house. Well, I would, if it even felt like MY house. On top of this both of his kids are outrageous assholes. I nearly got into a fist fight with the older one because his attitude is so bad. He always finds a way to piss me off beyond belief with it, and whenever I walk away because I know the limits of my explosive temper extremely well he says I'm being a baby. He did it one too many times I just snapped and tried to knock him in the face. Although my mother was able to physically separate us before that happens. Needless to say, I can't wait till I'm out of this shithole and on my own.

So, I know the song "Friday" by Rebecca Black is pretty awful, but god damn, she's a thirteen year old girl. Some of the stuff people say is just outrageous. It didn't really hit me until she was asked what the most hurtful thing said to her about the song was on an interview. When she replied with something to the effect of "I hope you cut yourself, die, and burn in hell." It kinda made me step back and think "What the fuck?"

Oh great title fairy, while I do already have a custom member title, I feel I have found something more befitting of myself, so if you would be so kind as to grant me the new title of "Resident Monster addict." I would be forever grateful.

Lines anywhere from one to five hours. The Gold Pass was DEFINITELY worth the $146 dollars for my group of three. Even the small coasters had massive wait times. We waited an hour and a half for La Vibora while we were waiting for our reservation on Titan. Big Spin looked like its line had to have been in excess of 2 hours. It was a shame that we couldn't go that Sunday when the park would have been dead, but fourth row tickets for Cirque du Soleil won out over Six Flags for that day.

Will people who are not members of TPR (and I mean TPR as all-encompassing. Not just Club-TPR) be eligible to participate in the event? If so I may be able to round up a group of friends to make the 4 hour trek to Arlington from Houston.

^But if that's the case, don't you think someone would have seen the teal and/or black train being tested at some point? Just a thought.

Just got back from the park now. (Stayed at the park until closing at 10, and then a 4 1/2 hour ride back to Houston with a 1 hour stop at Buc-ee's, I get home at freaking 4 AM.) They were testing the ride intermittently all day, unfortunately I didn't get pictures, but there were no signs of the teal or black trains anywhere. Whats concerning me more is that when we took the train from TG to Boomtown, we noticed that Shockwave was closed and actually missing pieces of track! I suspect this is due to some extreme form of maintenance, but can someone confirm? Again, no pictures, as I couldn't get the camera from my dad's girlfriend fast enough.

That's awesome and all but... WTF?

The road to becoming a Roller Coaster designer is a good degree in Engineering and lots of industry experience. Not a bunch of rides made with bezier splines and no structural analysis in an enthusiast's simulator. If you want to make something you can copyright, go get a copy of Matlab, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Revit Architecture, and work from there. I'm not trying to be a dick... but what your saying really does sound dumb. Coming from someone your age with the same aspirations as you, I get the dream, but NL tracks won't cut for anything other than a display of what something is gonna kinda be like in the industry.
