That last picture -
The boat chute is great. It's actually kind of creepy in that pitch black tunnel, and their ARM drop tower is one of the best I've ridden. I didn't see any off-axis free flipping, but the ride cycle on this still looks far better than any Top Spin I've ridden, if that video is anything to go by. This ride is going in place of the Round Up, which is going to re-open in 2017.

I've always wanted to ride one of these, and now it's in my home park. It seems to be a pretty rare flat ride in the US, especially for a permanent installation. I know Kentucky Kingdom had a Vekoma Waikiki Wave for a while (which I never got to ride, because it was always shut down), but it was non-inverting. http://www.moserrides.com/thrillrides/maverick-asym/maverick-asym.htm Facebook video link

Are they still assigning seats on Fury? -

still haven't seen any photos of the quad down. They don't want to spoil the most photogenic part of the ride, I guess. -

I'm actually glad it's only 8 across. Griffon was extremely cramped, with room for only one person's arm between the seats. -

I can take a guess as to what the new element could be. The element... ...of surprise as you're going down Legend's first drop in reverse! -

^Yeah, it would be cool to have it in a visible location. I wonder when they're going to fill in the water park in the Thanksgiving area. It's a really long trek out there just to ride Hyena Falls. -

I'm calling it now, a corkscrew on Voyage coming out of the tunnel into the spaghetti bowl. -
Don't forget this new element. The Half-Sideways-Almost-Upside-Down-Back-Step-Non-Inverting-But-Kind-Of-Inverting-Turn. Really though... I can't figure out what is going on in this picture. Is there like a really strong sideways pop of ejector air leading into that turn? Upward wave turn that twists into an inversion? It looks so awkward I think the angle of the pic is throwing me off though, and it's not really as harsh as it seems.

^Yeah, just replace the intense negative g's with intense lateral g's, and that's about what the experience is like. This looks like it will be a great fit for Carowinds. I'm surprised more parks haven't built these. -

B&M Restraints: Old vs. New
nannerdw replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thunderbird's vest wasn't constrictive, but the restraint still stabbed really uncomfortably into my hip socket, just like Wild Eagle and X-Flight did. -
More pics in link: http://wkrn.com/2015/08/14/aerial-adventure-park-opens-in-franklin/ The only other ropes course I've experienced was the, now defunct, Adventure Mountain at Dollywood, which was a lot of fun. So this is pretty exciting for me, because it's right down the street from where I used to live. Also, it's located conveniently next to Dental Bliss (a fancy-ass dentist office that's almost a tourist attraction in its own right. Seriously, they actually serve wine in the waiting room. lol), so if you end up doing something stupid on the ropes course and your teeth get knocked out, then it's totally not even a big deal.

I enjoyed The Crypt. You do have to ride it kind of defensively, though, because of the stupid crotch nub on the OTSR. -

It's an anagram. "Naval VR" They're planning to enclose part of the existing marina with a Triotech 4D shooting dark boat ride, in which you square off against your friends (US Navy vs Royal Canadian Navy) in an epic battle for ultimate conquest over Lake Eerie!
