You can see like 8 of their coasters from Honolulu. -

^I knew someone had to be argumentative when I said that. When a park has 63 coasters, its hardly fair. -

Just drove by last weekend on Highway 44. Its right in front, which I love because its gonna OWN the vista of the park from the highway. Is there a better freeway view of a park (and all 5 of its major coasters) than SFSTL? -
TPR Loves Carousel of Progress

Same thing happened to my wife and I when we were there in March of 2006. It was stuck in the same era for like three or four repetitions. We were drunk and just got to the park at like 9 o'clock for Extra Magic Hours until 2 am. There were like 12 people in the theater and we were all making wise-ass comments and singing along. My Vodka-filled wife Cindy thought she was gonna pee her pants. The highlight of a 10 day, 8 park trip. -

B&M vs Intamin
MisterP replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My top 3 are all Intamin, but I enjoy most B&Ms I've been on. But no contest - Intamin. -
I think I've watched people in every park I've visited. I could be mistaken.

Same for me. I was in Orlando in Xmas of '89 and I picked one up in a motel lobby. I think I still have it. Also never got to go to B&B. -
Post your milestone coasters
MisterP replied to bgwfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't know. Don't really keep count of coasters until I get home and go to CoasterCounter. Milestones are for slightly more important things in my life. -
Worst Coaster Experience
MisterP replied to airforcekid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have ridden 6 (I think) and until they stop jamming that masochistic "seat" into dudes' groinal areas (which they did on all of them -B & M and Togo) they all suck. -
Worst Coaster Experience
MisterP replied to airforcekid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes! I rode it on the first day of an 8 day vacation. The old gonads hurt for the entire time. Any coaster that you have to actually learn how to ride to protect your "valuables" sucks in my book. But this applies to ALL standups(Mantits was the first I experienced - and haven't been on one any better). They should put warnings for "men with ample scrotums" right there after "pregnant women" and "people with heart conditions" in the signage for all standups. And I'm not kidding. -
Best Theme Park Food
MisterP replied to ChrisZer0's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I didn't think those ribs at SDC were all that great. May have been a bad night - it was 40 degrees the night after Thanksgiving a few years ago. The first park food that comes to mind are the tacos at Indiana Beach. We stayed there for two days and I must have eaten like 10! They're like crack. -

As someone close to both Evel Knievel AND SFTSL, it would be nice to see the park make it into a one-of-a-kind homage to a bygone icon. Especially one who was at his height at the same time as Six Flags took hold in eastern Missouri. If some of these corporate parks actually had this kind of (yes, random) nostalgia, wouldn't they each seem more unique? It sounds better than the 14th DC themed area. -
Really? You went to SDC after Thankgiving and you DIDN'T stay until dark and see the whole place lit up? Its really a sight to see - as unique and picturesque as anything Disney can put together! IMO - for any theme park enthusiast, SDC at night during the holiday season is almost a "must-see". Its almost worth the oddly high entrance fee even if the coasters are closed due to weather!

A Day In The Life Of YOUR TPR Visit!
MisterP replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I tend to agree. I like to hear opinions, reviews, polls, etc. People on this site obviously have a wealth of knowledge and experience. I just prefer to talk about things that are of interest to the general park-visitor, not what kind of axle grease the cars on the Screamy Meamy has. And I like to look at park pics of rides and scenery, not pictures of two 20-something guys drinking Belgian beer and pretending to French kiss each other! But hey, I'm just one old dude.
