  1. I think the first time I ran across TPR was when I was looking for a video of Space Mountain with the lights on and I came across your video of Space Mountain over at Hong Kong with them on. I was a kid and was just wondering how all of the attractions at Disney worked. My first post on TPR was over on the Hard Rock Park thread because my dad was actually helping design the electrical systems for the park and I wanted to know more about the place. But I never really started posting until the Big Mike Road Show Find The Ducky contest that I placed second in. I've been a loyal TPR member ever since.
  2. Look what I found! Could this be part of Secret Weapon 6? http://forums.towersalmanac.com/index.php?s=ca3a902e09f381b3b0a0c645b99883b6&showtopic=17267&st=120&p=209484entry209484
  3. Along with their last video they also posted some pics of the boats and have said that there will be no seatbelts. Right now it looks like they're just puring a lot of concrete. Also, the final piece of steel from Demon Drop was removed from Cedar Point and is on its way to Dorney. Last thing. They've been posting some great HD POV footage of their coasters over on their YouTube channel.

  5. Well right now I have both method 2 and 3 completed! But I might have to send Big Mike a card so I can get my hands on a Mikestery Treasure Hunt card! I wonder if I could get a Big Mike reader pin as well if I complete all 3 of the methods?
  6. The S is for super and The U is for united The P is for perfection and you know we are excited The E is for energetic and The R is for Rad So tell the other team We're the best and we're glad! GO TEAM BIG MIKE!!!
  7. I find it interesting that they were originally planning on moving Demon Drop to Knotts but then changed their minds. I wonder what prompted them to make this change?
  8. I have an interesting idea. So many new rides include some kind of interaction with people on the ride, off, or both. My idea is to have a digital readout on teacup rides right in the middle of the handle that tells you how many spins you've done. There would also be a high-score board so you could see the most spins someone has done. Simple yet unique concept.
  9. Ya know, there's a lot more to a coaster than just airtime. If I recall correctly Millennium Force doesn't go into an airtime hill right after the drop either and yet people love that ride. Can't we just wait until it's open and people have ridden it before we complain?
  10. Nope. *EDIT* Well there have been rumors that they have stored other parts elsewhere like in the employee parking lot or one of the access roads but nothing has been confirmed yet.
  11. This is why I am thinking Chang will stay. SF STL has more land to store the ride and is closer to SFKK. Heck, if it was only a place holder for a year or so, they could have stored the ride in closed Twisted Twins/Mile High Falls area(they do have entire cars in there for storage right now under the coaster track.) Moving it to the park furthest from any other park just makes no seance at all if only to use it as a place holder. These facts are true, but do we even know if Chang track is at SFGAm? Yup. http://changsfgam2011.blogspot.com/
  12. Oh how I miss SFGAm. Great pics Griffin! I can't wait until next year, it seems so far away.
  13. I'm really glad Six Flags got Little Dipper. This definitely is a great and smart move for them. I was able to ride it at Kiddieland and everyone (including myself) was having a fun time. Now will they keep the classic handbrakes or get normal brakes?
  14. We all wanted a roller coaster on a cruise ship, but what about an amusement park?
  15. ^^While a Theme Park Review podcast would be awesome, do you guys even have time to do something like that?
  16. Great videos Robb! It's amazing how much in-depth coverage you guys got at IAAPA!
  17. Here's just a random launched coaster I made that I love. It's full of airtime and inversions. Not sure if I will do anything with it although I might change the ending part. I also might make some custom supports which is something i've never done before.
  18. ^Well Big Mike only rode one side of American Eagle because the other side was closed and he didn't remember which one he rode last time, so he'll HAVE to come back to make his coaster count official!
  19. I have been looking forward to this trip report ever since our awesome meet up. What a perfect way to cure the off-season blues by looking back at some truly great memories of one of my favorite trips to Great America this year! I had so much fun meeting you Big Mike along with everyone else. It is because of you that I was able to meet so many new friends from TPR for the first time ever! I had a wonderful day and have had other fantastic trips with all of my new friends. Thanks again for all of the hard work you put into the one and only Big Mike Road Show! By the way, you were VERY sneaky when hiding that treasure hunt card!
  20. Do you not see the things wearing sombreros in the back?
  21. Should I say it or will I get beat up for saying it? Oh well, i'll go for it. That's what she said! Screw the lanyard, what crazy contraption is in the background? Great updates from IAAPA guys!
  22. Sorry I didn't mention this before, but in the first pic you can see the first car an actual Timberliner train.
  23. Terror Twister 2 is insanely awesome! Enough said.
