Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
traincrossin replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't forget that The Dark Knight is also supposed to be a family friendly ride. I don't think the theming for Shoot the Rapids (if there is any) would be so bad that parents wouldn't want their kids going on it. -

I never thought that this was going to be a coaster so i'm not dissapointed by it. It really does look like a fun and fairly long ride. Hopefully there will be some kind of theming, but that won't really matter that much. I'm also hoping that the Whyte Lightning thing will be explained during the ride. Now the real question is will this count as a credit? -
I went to this event as well and I also had no idea it was for Raging Bull's anniversary because they never mentioned it. I saw myself for a split second in the background during someone's interview. I was wearing my black TPR hoodie if anyone is wondering. It was a really fun event and the food was great! This must be great marketing for Six Flags, especially when it was aired during the season. As for the Maverick comment, while it was kind of unnecessary half the people watching the show don't even know what Maverick or Cedar Point is. All they would probably know is that this happened at Great America.

Happy Valley Shenzhen - New TPR Video!

Awesome video Robb! What is up with the Chinese and not wanting to get wet? Almost everyone in that vid was wearing a poncho on those water rides. I think I saw an umbrella as well. And was it just me or did that SLC look, I don't know, smooth? -
"Hi my name is Jo, and I want to make love with Iron Wolf!" I guess she likes it rough

Why is everyone assuming that Cedar Point will be making a coaster? -

True, just trying to think of other possible meanings. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GOING TO BE?!?!?!?! -

Hey, as long as this ride has something to do with alcohol it has my stamp of approval! Prohibition: The Ride anyone? Cedar Point getting a boomerang? I can see the fanboys crying now... Anyone else think that "Snoopin" might have to do with Snoopy? Maybe something family friendly? I honestly have no idea so I can't wait until the announcement. -
Robb Alvey on The Season Pass Podcast!

Great show guys! I love it when the Season Pass crew podcasts live from the park. What parks are you thinking of having a Midwest Bash at Robb? -

Tony Hawk's Big Spin is a pretty average coaster for me. Fun for the entire family, a couple cool moments, plus is better than your average wild mouse coaster. So yes, I would say it's nice. Plus it's cool seeing Tony Hawk footage in the queue instead of the normal Six Flags advertising. -

Considering everyone else is saying that Screamin Eagle isn't rough, I wouldn't take my word but I thought Screamin Eagle was worse than The Boss. While they were both rough, they weren't that bad. -

Sorry to disappoint everyone, but... http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1505904.html That's really a bummer considering this was one of the best looking backyard coasters i've ever seen. -

^I might have just gotten a bad ride on Eagle, but I got no airtime in the back row and it was very rough so I really didn't like it. That was actually a direct quote from a mom who was waiting for her kids to get off Ninja and I had to agree with her on that one. -

I finally was able to upload the video the other night. Hopefully it's half-decent. Enjoy! [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=SFStL_i76l[/coastertube]
