In my opinion, I disagree. Viper still has one of the highest thoroughputs of ANY roller coaster in the park due to its high capacity and early-morning rush crowds. Rides that don't require a lot of staff to operate + Cycle through more guests than the vast majority of attractions = will be around for a good while. -Jahan

It's mutual. I sort of finally got fed up by the fact that it looks like I'm ready to get beaten up and have someone take my lunch money, so I'm in this primarily for the weight exercises. I help keep Robb motivated on the bikes and elliptical and he helps keep me motivated on the weights. But I totally agree that simply having someone to talk to makes a "work out" into a "hang out". -Jahan

I've personally been in "that boat", where the weight distribution causes the boat to get stuck around various turns. We literally stopped at a few points and was only able to move because the boat behind us bumped us. And let me tell you--it didn't take a "fat person" to do it. It's primarily about weight distribution, as the poor CM said. Not the weight itself. We unfortunately had the weight all distributed on one side of the boat and sure enough--got stuck. When we got back, the station was empty and the CMs were waiting for us. Please follow the policies of the ride operators, guys. If they say something like this CM did, it is not to be taken personally. She was just doing what she thought was best for the ride and the safety and comfort of the riders. Ride operation is all about these kinds of impersonal judgements. -Jahan

Ironically for right now, S:TE has still been shelved. Viper just closed down after this weekend to begin its repaint, track, supports, and all. Which I never found Viper to be all that bad yet. But now corporate negotiated this, so why not! X obviously will also be repainted as a part of it's multiplication quadratically to the second power. -Jahan

Those will not be the colors of X2. The final colors still not have been approved, which is actually quite funny, but relieving in some respects. Those paint samples have been there for over a month and weren't approved either. -Jahan

Yep, I agree--SFKK was truly a great park experience this summer. They were SO nice to TPR and I personally really appreciate that. Now I just cant wait for Jay's "SFMM: Do not believe all you hear" thread. -Jahan

^ That's natural history. That doesn't count! Alright for some really interesting things that you could careless about when it comes to Santa Clarita... First there was a decent size Spanish American war battle fought near a hill in Valencia... Today that hill is Samuri Summit. Secondly under the 5-14 interchange is where I believe (I could be wrong, and I really have no intentions of looking this up) the peace agreement was reached in the above war. To be fair though, not much history in that area to really tour that would be much fun... There is a train that FDR rode that is sitting over in Newhall. Erm, the Spanish American war was fought in the Philippines and in Cuba. Not in California. And if you're referring to the Mexican American war, no peace agreement was reached in the Newhall Pass. That war ended in Mexico City. But dont worry...one of these days I WILL do a SCV history PTR. And Barry...that bushes comment was just creepy! -Jahan

I'm not trying to be the "fire expert" that I'm very much not, but the brush wasn't that thick over by Magic Mountain to begin with--just a grass fire, no real built up brush. And the bark on an oak tree is capable of protecting the tree in such weak fires, keeping it alive, hence why they're still standing. Anyway, nice PTR. Almost more of an update of the random goings of the park. -Jahan
