  1. it's probably the shocks on the RMC trains...keeps the ride smooth, even going over the bolts. Your logic is very solid.
  2. I'm doubting this video's legitimacy. I don't know any human that sounds like those two individuals talking at the end of the video. Unless it was Chip and Dale, and they're not human, heck, they're not even real chipmunks. Also, those construction dudes were walking around very fast. Not running, walking. Speed walkers don't walk that fast. Sounded like the dude said his name was Monty Time. Even the cheering at the end of it's run was a bit hi pitched. And don't get me wrong. I'm not blasting the ride at all. It looks awesome! I'm just saying the video just doesn't look and feel right. I'm also starting to think that this thing doesn't have a launch either. I don't think those are LIMs all the way up the lift hill. In fact, it looks more like a standard chain lift. Which begs the question, why is their chain lift so much faster than Lightning Rods? If it is in fact a chain lift, why did RMC go with a different supplier at Dollywood? This one seems to work great. I'll bet these chain guys are probably heading over to Pigeon Forge tomorrow to start fixing that one, now that this one is complete. Hopefully it won't take them too long. Still blows my mind how the train manages to miss all those bolts on the track.
  3. Aren't pan flute groups the call of the giant gerbil?
  4. So it was sped up. You can hear their voices at the end and they sound like chipmunks. How much was it sped up is the question. Still looks awesome. Still pissed their launch works better. Did they use a different company than Dollywood hired for theirs?
  5. This begs the question, How come their launch worked perfectly, and LR's somehow didn't pass muster?
  6. I pray that is not just a great photoshop or sped up video. Cause that thing is haulin' a$$! My reasoning behind that is the weird audio clip that sounds like a woman is saying, "s'that down." twice. It gives me a sense of alteration to the video or audio as it's too similar in both spots. If it's not chopped vid, then this ride is gonna give the mother of ejector air on every camelback! Please! please! please! let this be real.
  7. Whaaaaaaa! You couldnt enjoy the rest of the park...probavly shouldn't have booked a trip you cant afford...think DW cares about your irresponsible CC use, bet they don't...Coasters, especially new ones always have issues. Shoulda waited a few months, goung to ride a coaster on a probected opening day is a gamble MUCH JOY JUST CAME TO MY LIFE!
  8. We call it, "the food buying place."
  9. In Canada they call it, "Ice Hockey eh?" Here in Nashville we call it, "Blip Dool Poop." GO PREDS!
  10. That, according to CP is where the splashdown and monorail will be located. I don't get it. Word leaked a few days back that the surprise element on Valravn was in fact not going to be strippers, but a splashdown, and a head chopper with the new monorail that CP is putting in. Would I rather have had strippers, yes. But I think the combined splashdown/monorail will be exciting as well. I personally can't wait.
  11. Congrats Knott's. Is it too much to ask for an Intamin Megalite to celebrate?
  12. This made my day. I'm actually shocked someone here hasn't taken it seriously yet. Which would make it that much more awesome!
  13. From there, depending on switchbacks being used, between 2 & 4 hours.
  14. ^^Saw the same touring Company up in Lexington a few weeks back. Really great show. So much better than when I saw it in LA way back in the 90's. I'm glad they added much more humor to it. It seemed like it took itself very seriously way back then. It is a much more well rounded show now. Hope you had a great time.
  15. I thought "flat spots" were what strippers had before they got their "bolt on's".
  16. ^If it wasn't for Shamu Rocks, I might never have committed to my all raw Salmon and Ice only diet. It's how I keep my girlish figure.
  17. ^This. The story I often hear is that the tunnel ended up costing way more than they anticipated and that cut into the eventual ride length. I kinda heard a similar rumor about Apocalypse at Magic Mountain. I heard it was shortened by like 500ish feet.
  18. Add coffee to this and it sounds like my morning routine.
  19. I think someone needs to take out the trash.
  20. This is where the boat gets funny again. Just when it starts pissing people off who can't embrace it. If you want the boat to go. You must embrace the boat! It is then that the boat will be able to sail off into the sunset and dissolve into nothingness. Feel the boat. Be one with the boat. Wish for it's demise, but enjoy it while it exists. It may be days, weeks even, maybe months, but it will fade in due time. Then, just as it becomes a splinter in the minds eye of it's creator. It will arise. Like a Phoenix from the ashes. To grace us once again with it's comedic genious. The Boat. The Boat. The Boat.
  21. OMG! Why did they disassemble so much of the ride? Was there a defect in the steel manufacturing? Wow, I would've expected them to start testing here in the next few weeks. How much behind schedule are they now? Oh, and the boat is looking ship shape.
  22. Those could be magnetic brakes in case of a roll back from the top of the hill. I'm not a magnetic engineer, but that would be my educated guess.
  23. Dude! The Boat! You know, the boat! Everybody who's anybody knows about the boat! It's legendary! Google it.
  24. Wow! Just... ...wow! This ride is stunning!
