  1. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everybody involved for the planning of this event. Robb, Elissa, the Godseys, Jay, Tim, Neil. You all did a wonderful job. I would especially like to thank all the employees of Magic Mountain for exceeding my expectations. Huge props to our tour guide Mike for accommodating our entire group. He did an awesome job keeping our group informed, entertained, and on time for our rotations. Congratulations to all who made this the best day I have had at Magic Mountain since I rode The Great American Revolution back in 76. You all rock hard!
  2. Are those two dudes peeing off the edge of the track in that third picture?
  3. So that is the infamous pink slide of death that I have heard so much about. Jahan, these pictures are awesome. It totally looks like they all just hydroplaned across the landing pool. That is terrifying! If anybody has any pictures of them catching the amazing air that they were reported to get, I would love to see that! Great job Jahan, keep it up. This report is excellent.
  4. Goliath-6FMM- Last night at WCB ERT. Six times as we closed the park. I put my hood over my head and did it blind the whole time. Just awesome!
  5. This may be a possibility for me as well as the other park. Keep me posted please.
  6. Please let it be Goliath sans MCBR! If there is a God, it will be Goliath sans MCBR. Or Tatsu with the Batman trains. That would be cool too.
  7. You caught me Bob. I was makin' a funny! Hey, why is this event not on the TPR calender?
  8. Ohh...well maybe they did take it down for the winter because I didn't see it. I went over there to see the petting zoo area along with the kiddie drop tower. Yup, I have to go back over the summer! I was at Beech Bend on Christmas eve and it was there. However, it was in an unlit area of the park off to the right as you walk by the drop tower.. It was very hard to see.
  9. Congrats Tomi! That is really cool that they take the time to recognize you for your achievements. Keep up the good work.
  10. That is a Sunday. And a Sunday that just happens to be daylight savings time. All the families will be rushing out of the house thinking their late for church only to arrive an hour early. Best to err on the way of caution. I'd leave at least 2 hours early just in case. I'm driving from Burbank. So I'll probably leave at 5am PSTDST as well.
  11. Jahan, awesome TR. As allways, I appreciate your candid insightful opinions about your experiences. With that said, I am looking forward to getting to HW this year. I realy must test this theory that it is a better woodie than El Taco. However, ET is a masterful work of coaster art and is held in such high regard that I fear it will be hard to beat. Only time will tell. I salivate in anticipation of more photos!
  12. Awesome TR Eric! the park looks like a lot of fun. Kinda sad that the dolphin slide through is that short. However, the lazy river aquariums look incredible. I will have to bring my underwater housing with me the next time I get there to visit. October is looking good this year! Woo Hoo! See ya at WCB!
  13. I think this little coaster looks awesome! That hammerhead turnaround could be quite intense. I'm wondering how much the MCBR will slow down the coaster before the two helixes. It could totaly ruin them IMHO. Guy "How far is CW from Nashville?" Koepp
  14. I love the Hard Rock branding. I have been to several dozen here in the US. I can easily walk around each one for quite some time checking out all the R'n R' memorabilia. With that said, I certainly hope they bring the same kind of charm to the park. I say this because as far as rides go, this place really does nothing for me. The Vekoma mine train is a plug-n-play, as is the roller skater. Led Zeppelin is just another B&M sit down looping coaster. Nothing impressive there. Honestly, I'm not necessarily a lift enthusiast so I couldn't give two shakes about the ferris wheel lift on Max RPM. I think, and hope, that this parks excellence will be in it's live shows, memoribila, and hopefully food. With that said, I will probably go this summer to check it out. I certainly hope it holds up to the quality of the restaurants as well as the Hotel and Casino. I hate to be a downer, but this park doesn't scream thrills to me. I have to believe that their quality will come in the overall experience. Not the coasters. Anyway, just my two cents. Guy "I'm not bashing, I'm just unimpressed so far." Koepp
  15. ^Don't drink and swim Ed. They don't mix. I have horror stories about rescuing drunk people at the bottom of the wave pool at Wet N' Wild in Vegas.
  16. This place looks just beautiful. It will be on my must go to list when I get to Europe in the next few years.
  17. I have no idea. But we can also go on an exploratory journey to try and find the lady and the donkey show. Woo Hoo! Coasters and beastiality. Two great tastes that go great together. Count me in!
  18. Yay! The lost coasters of Tijuana. I was just talking about them last night with Robb and Jahan. I am jealous! Incidentally, why is it that you didn't do the Dipper at Belmont park?
  19. Has anybody seen a full layout of this ride yet? I'm curious how the rest will look.
  20. When did I become the official TPR punching bag? I thought that was Ryan's job. Guy "In my defense, I worked untill 4 in the morning the night before and still made it to the event." Koepp
  21. I am confused by this statement. I think Magic Mountain is taking steps forward. Not backward. IMHO no park has quality as low as 6FGAdv. Well, mabey Little America or a Ghetto Fair.
  22. ^That is such a Big Mike coaster!
  23. Awesome TR Chuck. I love your captions as well as your honest opinions. It was sooooooo awesome seeing you last weekend. Sorry I couldn't make it out to DLR with you guys on Sunday. Had to husstle my a$$ back to Nashvegas. I love the picture of me sleeping. Someone should tell that story. Glad to hear your feeling better. Being sick sucks big time. It looks like me and the fam are going to try and make it to Euroburg during the kids spring break. I will let you know when we make our official plans. It would be great to have a Europro escort us around the park.
  24. Wow Colin! You flatter me. Thank you so much for those kind words. I'm soooooooo glad you enjoyed it.
