There is no one reason that Psyclone sucks...its best just to say everything about it contributes to its rough ride. I am glad that they are going, it is a step in the right direction but for some reason it feels weird. I think it's the fact that I grew up with the park already having those rides and so the park's state during my first visit seemed permanent...as if they would never leave. Also, this is a new thing for me to see...instead of a ride addition its a ride subtraction.

I think I agree with BOTH of Wes' ideas...magic and a mechanical device of nuclear proportions.

Haven't you guys ever heard of holograms, duh? Magic is more plausible though.

PTR: Jahan goes to Disneyland!
TheBannedKid replied to arrowfanman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, now I'm really happy I suffered through the day...it's all worth it when I'm replaced by Laura on Matterhorn. Now I feel like Shaggy in the first scooby doo...I'm Laura, and I can look at myself naked! Nice TR Jahan, I'm glad to see a recap of the day without all the cold. -
Unless its shaped like a boob I'm not interested...

Tigger hits kid at Disney World
TheBannedKid replied to Zen Coaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^No, I said I didn't feel like he did anything bad, but then again I'm not one of the largest companies out there so I don't have to cover my actions to make sure I have a clean track record. I then continued my argument about him not doing anything wrong...assuming that you read the sentence right before it stating my opinion on the quality of his actions. -

As in he didn't intentionally attack or start the issue. He responded to something the kid did, and while I personally can understand, the actions he took were not the correct ones. He did nothing major but that doesn't mean it wasn't wrong or unpunishable. I guess its not a big deal now since the case was dropped, but if it did further develop Tiger should have received attention for his wrong doings. I am only going off of what I can see in the video, as that is the only evidence they had in the case...none of us know what his actions were entirely and what he was reacting too...just telling what I got out of it. -
Tigger hits kid at Disney World
TheBannedKid replied to Zen Coaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why should the cast member be fired? He was just defending himself. And he barely brushed the kid. Firing him would be as bad of a knee jerk reaction as suing Disney. While I personally don't think Tiger did anything wrong Disney should still fire him for not taking the proper actions. He did nothing bad but if Disney lets this go with no punishment it will further fade the line between what the company will and will not tolerate. But the cast member should be told that it is not their fault...they want to keep him/her but the public wants to see action toward the problem and thus he had to be fired...or at least warned or suspended. -

I'm sure Tiger could have acted in a better and more Disney appropriate manner but the kid definitely did something to the costume...looks as if he tried unzipping it from the back. The cast member should be fired and the case should be dropped. Disney could sue for the kid's actions as well as the family could, rather are, sue(ing) for Tiger's actions. It just would make more sense to drop it. If only that were Ryan that Tiger punched...then it would make it a whole lot more enjoyable -
The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
TheBannedKid replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
I just got a Wii out of sheer dumb luck. I went to the local Target close to my college to look at running shoes and rechargeable batteries. I looked curiously over at the video games section and saw one Wii box sitting there...while two people were buying a Wii. I immediately got the box and then spent a good 20 minutes debating if I should get it. The return policy was superb so I got it. At the time I didn't realize it came with a nun chuck so I didn't get any games...as the games that interest me require a nun chuck. But it does come with a nun chuck so I went back a few hours later and another stock of Wiis had found the shelf and very soon found an owner within the hour. Crazy! I got Zelda and am a happy Wii owner. ...but I will still continue to bug Robb and Elissa to hang out and play the Wii. -

Yes its obvious that she would come to those views but there is no need to be an ass just because someone has a different view. If you can't be positive to others and accepting of their ways then how does that make you a good and pure person? Personally it's corrupting her good being just because a difference in faith...no wonder why religious wars occur.
-
I also think that you need to learn to accept them as who they are. If they decide not to become Christians then support their choice, don't criticize them for their decision. My sister is the only one in the family that is very religious and just a few months ago she told us that our uncle is going to hell because he is jewish. I find that to be a very bad quality to a person...and here she is trying to live a pure life as a good person. Thats why I think its a good idea for you to learn acceptance of others...like Laura has done.
-
Wow, this is the first religious topic that I've seen dealt with in such a calm manner. I can understand turning to "God" as an answer to the creator of the universe but I don't think it should be accepted as the truth, at least not yet. It is a topic based entirely on one's opinion...and in my opinion our society has barely scratched the technological surface that makes up the universe we exist in. I definitely do not accept the "Big Bang" concept as it seems to be a loosely thrown together theory based on on the fact that man fears the uncertain, but I do think that in time we could figure out a scientific answer to the creation of the universe. In the process of this finding I believe many current findings could be proven wrong. For example, the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy. Yes we found that mass and energy cannot be created from nothing, but we do not have the mental power to understand this or other theories in the presence of the vast energies of the universe. As well as I'm sure we have not discovered everything that makes up the universe...there are probably unexplained energies, masses, substances, etc. out there that we know nothing of. As far as religion today, I can't say I believe in an actual "God" but I can say that it is comforting at times to look upon a higher being in times of depression, trouble, and other problematic situations. This is my theory, a very vast one and not to mention it is based on a low level of education. I think that in the early years of man we were fragile and very simple. We did not understand lightning, death...anything too complicated for our simple minds. Over many years, and I mean thousands of years, the creation of gods and religions helped our simplistic ancestors understand the world. I believe that it soon became a method of controlling people through fear. Ancient civilizations performed sacrifices to please the gods...ultimately sparing their lives. Soon the higher classes took advantage of this and used religion to force people to follow them (I'd like to note my education in history is not a great as say Jahan's, thus this may not be a very truthful theory). From the time of Jesus (thats another story of its own) I believe religion as a control started to die. In the present society we do not fear the wrath of "God" or other gods as we used to. Religion has become more of a faith system. Now as I said this is just a general theory based on almost no education so I am sorry for any wrong information I provided. I however do not believe it is as simple as this explanation...life never is that simple. Wow, I just made a Jahan post...very long.

Saddam to Hang for war crimes

I think you are confusing him with George W. Bush, our current president. -
I usually find it tolerable but that last ride sucked...it must have been the wheel seat. Not to mention I had lotion all over my seat and I locked my restraint down before I noticed. It just felt really weird...my heart was moving in ways it shouldn't have due to the vibrations. But what do you know, Mike and Jahan had fun and they were one seat behind me.
-
Oh, see I was thinking along the lines of coming over and playing the Wii with him for a few hours...lol. Sorry, I hope you realize that I don't want to be friends with you just for the Wii. Both of you are very cool...plus Robb wants to take me to a strip club...hey, that sounds like an idea. I will take Robb to a strip club for his birthday.

Wearing glasses on a coaster
TheBannedKid replied to jbuck's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Same here but today I rode all coasters with my glasses on...Batman, Riddler's, and I would have worn them on Tatsu if the crew didn't suck. -
Fine...to get laid more than Jahan and the other virgins in the bet. So when are we going to that strip club Robb?
-
Maybe eat better, learn to study...especially for finals, start exercising, get my Xcelerator model finished...and to become uber friends with R&E so I can play the Wii more often, lol.

Tom Sawyer's Island
TheBannedKid replied to Ryan King's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Or a tunnel. I think that would work out better as far as capacity goes. I personally think having two Pirate themed attractions is taking away from the original Pirates. They should work on a completely different theme than anything in the park...like something with Chip and Dale! -
Help Robb & Elissa Name KidTums!

Wasn't Gerald Ford an astronaut Robb... Since you already said you think you picked a name I won't add my names...they are probably already on the list anyways. -
Walibi Belgium Discussion Thread
TheBannedKid replied to Dark Vampire's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It looks really cool but the only exciting parts seem to be the drops. It slows down way to much in the turns...but then again this is a video, and a very bumpy one at that so it's hard to get a full perception of what the ride is like. -
I think my interest in coaster sparked from past interests. I went from construction vehicles to trucks to monster trucks to trains and then to coasters. That and the fact that I loved riding them. Over time I realized I have an even bigger interest in mechanics and structures...an overall interest in engineering. I think that is what is pushing me as of now in this ever so awesome interest. I always thought that it was interesting that the basic structure of a coaster is similar to that of a building...two engineers with emphasis in structural engineering can go their separate ways, one works on buildings and the other works on coasters. Same basic principles yet two entirely different structures.
