  1. ^ It is a Photoshop. I work for Disney (Parks & Resorts Online), and I was given the task of color correcting a bunch of the photos for the Cruise Line site, since we were short on production artists (I deal mostly with audio and video). There were a ton of photos, and whenever it got too tedious, I'd try to add something to an image to take my mind off trying to get the red tint out of a photo or something. There were a bunch I did, but most were really obvious and I took them out before we sent them through. There's only two that made it on the site, Rattums and the face of a particular kid (the kid is a really big in-joke at the office).
  2. ^ Yeah, and doesn't it suck that poor Johnny has to drive around a beat-up car with no AC, while rich Johnny can cruise around in his climate controlled BMW? Poor Johnny has to listen to the radio, rich Johnny has two iPods and an Alpine stereo system. What's your point? That rich people have and get better things? Wow, this grave unjustice hasn't been going on since the beginning of civilization. Disney invented the class system to piss poor people off. Equating health care and legal matters to waiting an extra 20 minutes to ride Space Mountain seems a little far-stretched, doesn't it?
  3. It's not too bad. Still too many newer films. Anything thats less than 10 years old should not be on a list, simply because it takes a longer period of time for a movie's influence to trickle down into to language of film. There's some weird contradictions. Psycho but not Vertigo? All these lists are subjective, and the more mainstream polls seem to include more casual moviegoers favorite.
  4. Cal State University Northridge has the world's largest pornography collection or something like that... It's on the bottom floor of the library. Makes sense, seeing as 99% of porn shot is within a 10 mile radius of the school.
  5. ^ Did you think Vader's "Nooooooooo!" was the worst acting ever?... infact that entire scene with Vader asking about Padme was junk. Here's what I posted over at Westcoaster...: Yeah, Anakin/Vader was such a *major pussy*. Darth Emo Vader. Waawaawaaa... I laughed out loud during the "Nooooooo!" and during the awful little exchange between Anakin and Padme with "I love you derdeedurdurdur" "Love is blind deedledelle" VOMIT. Mace Windu went out like a chump. Grevious was remarkably unbadass compared to how he was in the Clone Wars cartoon. Some of the CG was TERRIBLE. The Clone Troopers with Jango Fett's head pasted over them looked awful. So did than gigantic lizard Obi Wan rode. So did Palpatine's make-up job after he got disfigured. "There's nothing medically wrong with her, she just lost the will to live." WHAT? And also that droid doctor was ridiculous and out of place considering the scene. R2D2 keeps getting more and more random components that never show up later on. C-3PO was f***ing annoying, especially the stupid CG version of him. And even if he had his memory erased, couldn't R2 be like "Yo, you remember that time we did all that f**ked up s**t?" Also, why wouldn't Vader notice his friend droids in the original movies? They had to throw Jar Jar in there, even if he didn't say a word. What was that random ass water show that Palpatine was watching? It looked like Cirque on mushrooms. How come any time any of the Jedis did a super jump or run, it looked incredibly fake? It was like watching a really long video game cut scene.
  6. I thought it was pretty bad. Visually okay, but the acting and dialogue were awful awful awful. I'm so over Star Wars at this point. This movie just hammered home the point that I do not care.
  7. First off, let me say this was really fucking good for a 14 year old. Your film was better than a lot 21 year old film students' finals I've seen. Constructive Criticism: - Get a tripod. Shaky is cool for some shots, but steady is good too. - Some of the changes in music is jarring, especially the exit from the elevator. Try to work on the audio levels too. There's a lot of background noise. - It really wasn't a bad thing, but some shots you held for too long. Honestly, most amateur film makers hold shots for far far far too long, and you didn't do that. There could have been some tighter editing though, especially his second trip to the car. It felt redundant, especially with the same sort of camera angles. Also tighten up the edits during the phone conversation. When you switch to the other character, the dialogue should start near immediately. The half second pause there feels weird. - Vary up your shot selection. Try to get weird or different angles. It really helps a scene when you get a lot of different shots. (inside the cabinet, over the shower, inside the car trunk, etc) Honestly, those are easy to fix. This was really far better than anything my friends and I did at 14. Great Job! wes (needs to put the movie we just did online)
  8. Today was packed!! Work was super busy, which is good... I hate dead time (usually when I post on the forums). Wacom (the graphic tablet company) came by today to show off their Cintiq...which is a combination 21 inch LCD screen and tablet. It basically lets you draw on the screen. Needless to say it was amazing. The only downside, $2500!!!! I'm already scheming up ways to raise the funds, cause it was truly beatiful...it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. Some videos were giving me shit when I was trying to compress them, so I ended up staying late. Got home just in time to start watching the Gilmore Girls season finale, which was fantastic...until' the Tivo cut out the very last minute of the show. DAMN YOU TIVO!!! I guess I missed Loralai proposing to Luke. Oh drama. Talked to a few friends and watched some shows I Tivo'd. Now i'm watching Conan.
  9. Don't worry Gregg, you can shoot hookers in the Lizzie Mcguire game. The online multiplayer element in the Raven game is really sweet too.
  10. Dammit Robb, what am I going to do with all these TPR thongs that I made?!
  11. ^ That wasn't a dream. wes (robb and dayquil do not mix!)
  12. It's the Aquabats, "Anti-Matter". http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/ANTI-MATTER-lyrics-The-Aquabats/BD380897A754D6C948256AA3000EE05A It took five seconds to find after hearing the first two seconds of the song. I typed in "ripped up shoes" lyrics and it found it, first try! wes (really, this is NOT hard)
  13. ^ True, but if you're running Firefox or any browser that has good pop-up blocking, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm on a Mac so I usually don't have to worry about adware and malware.
  14. Quick Tip for figuring out what song it is: 1. Listen to the song, find a key lyrical phrase, ex: "faster than a cannonball" or something memorable...try to stay away from general lyrics like "I love you". 2. Go to Google, and type in the quote with quotation marks (" ") around the lyrics, and add lyrics at the end of the search string like-a-so:
  15. Can we (and by we, I mean I) just give you $20 at the BBQ and not have to deal with shipping?
  16. I have this awful feeling it's going to be $500 or some exorbitant amount. I also have a feeling Sony is going to pull something out that's even more awesome than this.
  17. ^^ Not me then. By that time, I was sitting at home reading reading my book about presidential assassinations. I do have a lot of twins floating around though. I drive a silver Corolla, for future Wes spotting reference. Besides, if I did see you, I would have hit you. And then run over your body multiple times. ^ *double locks door*
  18. Here he is. The direct link to the URL is http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/onboard/activities/detail?name=VistaSpaDetailPage Gregg, was I driving on Van Owen? I was probably in my car rocking out to LCD Soundsystem. This one I highlighted where he's hiding. The image was scaled down alot from the original I edited, so it's not as obvious. But, it's still him! Rattums is somewhere in this image.
  19. The one hidden on the Disney Cruise Line website. wes (yes, he's really on there)
  20. My friend and I were waiting for Ron to clock Kelly. Seriously, after the "How Dare You Speak To Me That Way!" thing she pulled in the car ride in Miami, and her basically calling him an immature loser at the finish line, she needed to be punched. HARD.
  21. I thought they were going to DQ Uchenna and Joyce because near the end when Joyce was begging for the cab fare, some lady asked what it was for, and she said "We're racing..." That would have been an excellent twist. I was secretley pulling for Romber just because everyone else I know who watches it has irrational hate for them. I'm just glad it wasn't POW & Bitch Beauty Queen got shafted.
  22. ^ Sorry, the Buzz photo sender has a Jew filter. It automatically routes all photos sent by Jewish people into a database, for when Disney starts its "Final Magical Solution of Dreams" plan....or perhaps I've said too much. Wes (all my photos go to the jew filter too)
