I got to explain what I do at work to my relatives--over and over and over. But that's basically every year. Then I ate, went over the my girlfriend's, watched the Laker game, and now I'm going to go sleep because I get to work tomorrow! YEAH!

Well, that was just a warm up! On Christmas, I'm going to children's hospitals and telling them there's no Santa Clause and then I'll push them down a flight of stairs. On Chanukah, I'm going to read Mein Kampf to a bunch of mentally challenged Jewish kids. It's going to be a great time. Maybe I'll do a Photo TR. wes (I was joking, I wasn't being rude.)

For $199, I wouldn't even expect the thing to turn on, much less play video games.

Why do people feel the need to do this? So some kid gets some fact wrong about a roller coaster. Holy crap, big freaking deal. People gets facts wrong all the time. Especially when its trivial stuff like how fast a roller coaster goes. OHMYGOD, a ten year old thought Kingda Ka went 200 miles per hour!!!!!! What an idiot!!!!! Better correct him and show him how wrong he is!!!! (note, the past three sentences were sarcasm, and I will denote that with four rolleyes emoticons: ) I'm sure if you were in Best Buy, and you said "Oh hey, this iPod holds 1000 songs" and some high and mighty nerd butted into your conversation to tell you that you were wrong, and how MP3 compression works, and how many bytes go into a kilobyte, you'd think they were the biggest loser ever. That's how they see you.

It's going to be very interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years. I'm like you guys, I have no idea what to expect, which could be very good or very bad. I'm hoping for the best.

I have before, and could easily do it again, it's not that hard. I don't really care about coasters as much as I used to when I was in high school, the main reason I stay in the hobby is the friends I've met.

If anyone using a Mac needs a tutorial on how to get the footage working, here you go: 1. Download MPEGStreamclip from: http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html 2. Open the program. 3. Open one of the provided files from TPR. You can either use the Open... command from the File menu or just drag the clip into the center box. 4. Export To Quicktime from the File Menu, or just Apple+E 5. Make sure the settings match the below image. Use the Apple Intermediate Codec, make sure your quality is up 100%, Sound is Uncompressed Stereo, Frame Size is 320x240, and that you have deselected Interlace Scaling and Reinterlace Chroma. Hit Make Movie when you are done. 6. The file will now demux and recompress. This should take anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 depending on the speed of your system. My G4 took less than 5 minutes to recompress the movie. 7. That's it! Repeat the steps for any other video files you need to demux. You can now import the saved files into FCP or iMovie. I have tried both and they work fine. The longest process seems to be iMovie importing the file.

Hi. I'm on a Mac. It took less than five minutes to demux one of the MPG's to a Quicktime movie compressed with Apple Intermediate Codec. I didn't have to remux, it imported it right into FCP with the sound attached. I'm running a G4 with a gig of ram from three years ago, not some fancy Quad-Core G5. You complained, I gave you the solution, and you called me an idiot. Did you even try the program?

Mine is all "Arrested Development" themed. My friend made me a custom Gob + Franklin wallpaper, my screensaver is Gob and Lindsey doing the chicken dance, and my ringtone is "The Final Countdown".
