I agree with this completely. I've actually never stepped foot in the Hall of Presidents - nor do I have a desire to, even as much as I love both history and politics - but it amazes me that they've kept up with it to this day. Have the Founding Fathers in it, maybe some presidents that are notable (I'd go as far to say that Obama could've been added, say, after the next election cycle to mark the first black president), but other than that I fail to see why every president needs a robot version of themselves in a room at Disney World.

It reminds me of Carousel of Progress - you just rotate within the sets rather than around them. Add some giant movie screens and effects in there and I don't see how you could go wrong*. *Does not apply to Europe in the Air. -

I was going to say that too, but let's be honest: that hill is still super drawn-out. -
The only reference to an accident on Canyon River Rapids that I can find is the following, from a random AngelFire page: Unless something else happened that no news articles seem to exist for, I'm not sure CRR ever killed anyone. There was the raft that tipped over at SFOT (man, they just can't catch a break) back in the late 90s - IIRC, someone did lose their life because of it.

I didn't realize before that there was a Mr. Freeze-style transfer onto the launch track instead of other companies' normal switch - it looks like it'll be enclosed, too, so I imagine that'll come with a small pre-show! -

I've just assumed that each train will have its own platform, and they'll load each at the same time. Simple enough. As far as the Immelmanns, I'm actually curious to see how parks will program these - I imagine it's very easy to run them as shown in the (with two Immelmanns), as shown in the (with two dive loops), or with a combination of the two (similar to a Larson Loop). That's pretty much the point - they're PTC's version of the Millennium Flyers, with each bench articulated instead of each two- or three-row car. They've been around for years (over a decade, even?) but nobody's bought one yet. -

I can't decide if my favorite thing so far is the Dynamic Attractions rotating theater or the Mack spinning shuttle. Both of those companies are putting so much good stuff out year after year! -

Surprised they haven't done more lift construction thus far. They haven't gotten it out of the shed yet. #ThatsWhatsInTheShed -

I doubt we'll see Big Dipper trains since the brake run only seems to have catwalks to the right while Lost Gravity has catwalks on both sides. Very valid point. -

IIRC Top Thrill Dragster was designed so that the hydraulic system could reset and launch a train every 30-35 seconds. -

^Ah, okay. I'm seeing the double-down and airtime hill, I assume it turns around after that to connect to the 0-G and brakes. Understood! -

Energylandia Park Discussion Thread

There's no way they just went rogue and put all of this out there. For them to release everything, it had to have been part of the RFP to designers that their products would be subject to a public contest of some sort, or that whatever they proposed would be the property of Energylandia once it was transmitted to them. That may have scared away a few manufacturers, but it's definitely building a lot of hype for the park so I'd say they're getting a solid payoff for a pretty ballsy approach.
