USC actually switched to a pro combat uniform this year, with all the high tech marketing BS the uniform supposedly provides...and still kept their traditional look. EASY

I hope I'm not the only one just as excited about the football stadium construction in the background of the parking lot photos as I am about the coaster. -
^The only cool part of the Pro Combat system is the gloves that interlock to form the schools logo.

You can register a new gmail account, claim to be in management at a park, report a rumor...and screamscape will most likely publish it. Fact checking is not what screamscape is about. As for Ghostrider? Topper track would probably make the ride a top 5 ride in the world again. It's got a great layout as it is. Just needs to get back to being an airtime machine without the included spine adjustment.

I figured this was coming...but I guessed they would level the area by the pirate stunt show. -

^Ultimately, they'll sell the rides and the land and make the buyers pick up the tab on removal/demolition costs. -

Reminds me of TPR's "7 parks in one day" adventure we did way back when! Nice report! -
Interesting uniform note: USC is now the only school to never have put names on the back of their jerseys.

^ They're basically trying to steal $30 million from the state... -
Makes you really appreciate schools like USC, Alabama, Michigan, etc. that have stuck to their traditional uniforms...

After an ever so slight technical delay (read: updated my phone to jelly bean and thought I lost all my photos), I return with the second part of my Coasting for Kids adventure: AT&T Park. Home of that team with the guy who just got caught using Testosterone. As much as I hate said team (I am a Dodger fan), I have to admit their park is really nice. Now onto the photos! Welcome to AT&T park. Conveniently located a couple blocks from the CalTrain station (which I easily took from San Jose). Dodgers scouting report (got to love Ned Coletti) or Giants "hall of fame" that is outside the stadium? You decide. The stadium just so happens to be located right on the Bay, as you can see here from the top row of the stadium ...And here. Where people try to get "Splash hits" (home runs over the RF wall and into the bay) Speaking of RF, It also has a free viewing area in RF where you can catch the game for a maximum of 3 innings. Said view during batting practice (or "BP" if Elissa is reading this!) They also allow re-entry. Which is freaking awesome. Since in LA, people are too stupid to allow such a thing. Here's the obligatory family play area that all new stadiums seem to have now. Virgin America club level concourse. The whole level was climate controlled, which was awesome since it was like 95 degrees outside. Hooray for more alcohol on the club level! I took this picture just for Elissa. Wonder why? (more fancy food you can only get in the club level) The club level also features a museum, where this is by far the coolest thing (I chose to ignore that pennant they have on display ) Instead of a "dugout club" fancy restaurant, AT&T park just features a upgraded food court area for its seats behind home plate. Which is awesome, because it keeps prices down. ...So you can get views like this for $110! ...and food like this not normally available in a ballpark setting! Speaking of food, here's AT&T Park's signature item. Seems like a good note to end this report on. Sign from a bar outside the stadium.

The worst part about reading that post on Screamscape is to read the upcharge Screamin' Swing isn't pulling numbers, so it may be on the chopping block as well. Cedar Fair destroyed a nice chunk of entertainment in that spot when they took out the Haunted Shack for VertiGo, and nothing in that spot has been successful since. I was hoping those Freefall rumors would come to fruition, but that spot may just always be dead space they can't do much with. Haunted Shack was being eaten by Termites and unable to be renovated, since renovating it would mean having to get it up to current building codes.

Reports like this make you really appreciate Sea World. A real shame if all is true. -

^Roller Coasters in the raw fills that void quite well! -
^However, Dwight Howard is 1000x better than Bynum was when it comes to help defense...so the gap isn't nearly as wide anymore.

^^Won't last in the NFL either if he's already reportedly failed two drug tests.

A tagada with metal floors? So awesome, yet I imagine also very painful.

So...uhh...I thought the CBA was supposed to make it more difficult for there to be "super teams?" Welcome to L.A Steve Nash and Dwight Howard!
