  1. I just watched the video and I think that this likes like a lot of fun! I would love to have ride like this in my home park! It looks more intense than previous videos have shown. I'm excite to see the full coaster in operation! David
  2. Thanks for the feedback so far, I really appreciate it! David
  3. Hey TPR members. I am planning a trip to California in July of 09 and was hoping for a little advice. I am looking to do this as inexpensively as possible for a family of 4. Could you suggest any hotels or places to get cheap tickets etc. If you have any trip advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks David
  4. Are there any construction pics yet? I'd like to follow this one's construction as it looks so unique! David
  5. Robb (and others too!) You make some very valid points and I want to add my 2 cents. I have worked at WDW and for DCL and the Magic is what makes it. If cast members didn't care, Disney would not be where it is today and the fact that 10000's of CM's keep the magic alive is very special and amazing at the same time. When I saw this thread and started reading, my daughter came up and asked what I was doing. I Instictively shut off the monitor - even thought I don't work for the mouse, I still respect it and all that goes with it. As for being a "friend" of a character - I have done that too. People cannot understand the feeling you get when you see that child that sees Tigger or Pluto - You cannot put into words the Magic you feel as the person they are so in awe with. It is the Disney Magic that brings my family to WDW every year - goodness - my 3 year old has been 5 times and we live 1500 miles away! You hit the nail on the head when you said that cast members have to buy into their role (whether a friend, host or attractions op) - and yes it can be boing and mundane - but it can also be the most magical place too. If you don't buy into the Disney Philosophy - you don't have to work there! And know this - If I could work there - I still would - but that is another thread in itself. Long story short - I am very surprised that the photo has surfaced and maybe the pic should not be dislplayed here too, but I also know that it was not done maliciously and that it has raised one of the best discussions in a long time! For that I say "Thanks!" David
  6. I'd get rid of the basketballs for sure. I'd also get rid of Spandex - it has no place in a theme park - especially on some of the more......what's the word.......well, you know what I mean. I would also get rid of Coke products - sorry - I became a Pepsi fan after 30 years of drinking coke!! David
  7. I'm glad the damage was kept to a minimum - the hotel looks absolutey beautiful. One day I'll stay there - at least I can dream about it! David
  8. WOW - Crystal Wings looks absolutely amazing -Hopefully Cedar Fair can take note and do something like this somewhere - Do you think a trashcan mountain theme could be worked out? Glad you are having a blast - keep the photos coming please! David
  9. This is the one case where being 21 sucks.... garwsh done it!! David
  10. I'm glad I was late with my entry - yeah for 10 ducks (even though I thought 9 originally!!) David Taytig
  11. What can we expect - c'mon - he can't lose his hat - the girls won't think he's cool! Seriously though - people need to start taking more responsibility for their actions - Six Flags should sue him for vandalizing their ride with his head (or whatever part hit the coaster). What a Dumbssa... David
  12. I think once there is more vegetation, the islands will look better. As for economics - the more houses, the more money - not that I'd want that. I hope to visit Dubai sometime in the future - it looks awesome.... David
  13. Culture AND coasters....I'm impressed!! Keep up the good work! David
  14. I would love a park like this in Canada. We don't have much in terms of Great water parks. Thanks for all the updates.
  15. Wish I could be there - too bad this work thing gets in the way. I am looking forward to the updates and TPR antics.... David
  16. I counted 9 ducks But I believe all the 9's are filled up - so If that is the case my vote will be 10 ducks.... shucks- if only I logged on before my five mile run tonight..... Taytig
  17. I think this will be a great addition. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space and looks a bit different than a lot of other rides out there. I'd certainly take a spin on this!! Taytig
  18. They may not have a big media event for their new attraction release. Behemoth just put it on the internet - I didn't hear of any media event until much later. A new Woodie - I like this style of ride - I hope that it measures up to a lot of the other new woodies out there....... David
  19. I think this is going to be a great ride. I like the fact that you have slight turns at the bottom of some drops - a little change in direction can make a good out and back ride a bit better. I hope the MCBR doesn`t affect the second half too much - but it may allow for faster cycling of the trains. I`m looking forward to riding Diamondback. David
  20. But you have to remember that the seat in front of you is a lot further ahead than a traditional train. I have ridden Behemoth a number of times and I personally really like the new train design. You have a lot of room around you and you can really take in everything as you ride. I found that the middle seats in the front were great, middle seats in the middle of the train still gave a great ride and the outside back seats were great. All in all, a great ride everywhere. I think you`ll see more of these trains as they are new and from what I have heard from people, well received. David
  21. It was a great day - too bad I got sick and had to leave early. Thanks for the pics!! David
  22. First time I only saw 5!! BUT, my actual guess is 10 - I saw a bunch more once I figured out Big Mike`s Duckie Hidiing Habits..... Big Mike - I have been a fan all summer, but never a poster... Hope to meet you at Behemoth Bash - I assume you`ll be there!! David
  23. I just sent through my payment - I am so excited to attend this event!!! David
  24. I'm planning on registering when I return from vacation. This is my first TPR event and was wondering if anyone needs a ride partner? It's my home park, but I think this will be a blast! I look forward to a fun day with everyone! David
