I had my first Comedy Sportz match tonight. It's like Who's Line for high school and it has two teams from different schools competing. It had to be the most amazing thing I've ever done. The whole thing was just a blast and fun for everyone.

A Coke/Pepsi Connection
DATman replied to carolinacaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My school is Pepsi sponsored. It completely fails. That, coupled with the law saying that they can only sell diet soday makes for some nasty stuff. I think our best vending machine now is a Nesquick machine, which does own. -
Kvasten-Gröna Lund's new coaster.
DATman replied to Tobias94's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think we can make any judgements about this one yet, as it is a new layout and a new ride system. I hope they did a good job this time, though! -
Bat Promotional Video Posted

^^^Go ride any other Arrow Suspended and you will be shocked to see just how absolutely terrible Iron Dragon is. I mean, the whole thing was slow and just a waste of track. The only redeeming thing about it was the ending, and even that was lackluster compared to the edings of Top Gun, Big Bad Wold, and Ninja... -
Happy Birthday TPR Forums!

10 Greatest RIDES.....Ever?
DATman replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Next time, could you just put a space between paragraphs or big numbered sections like that? It just makes it a little easier to read. Still, I really like your list, apart from Magnum. It really has nothing for it now. After riding it this summer, I can say that it has the WORST airtime hills I've ever been on. I mean, they are triangles! They aren't very exciting and they cause more pain than joy. Also, the whole banking is off. I think the only really good bit of banking is at the very end... Same with Demon Drop. I mean, the weightlessness is great, but the brakes are just painful. -

There are no trims on AS. I just looked on RCDB and I didn't see any. So, unless they literally just added them, you may be thinking about a different ride... -
Kennedy Space Center - new ride next year
DATman replied to redbaron314's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Welcome to TPR, redbaron314! If you haven't yet, please check out our posting rules, which is in a topic that is near the top of every section in these forums. One to focus on in particular would be: I mean this more in the grammar sense. Your spelling was perfect, it was just your grammar that needed some cleaning up a bit. I only say this because it makes posts easier and more enjoyable for everyone to read. Again, welcome to TPR, we're always glad to see new faces around here! -
This film had so much going for it. It was enjoyable, but the editing really killed it for me. I loved it the first time I saw it, but after that it went downhill. The broadway version blew it out of the water.

THE WAR ON PREFAB SUPPORTS
DATman replied to Calaway Park's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^But to others, it is a game. I mean, does it truly matter as much as people make it out to be? In the end, no matter how much fun the whole thing is, it still isn't real... But I digress... -
331 feet Giga Coaster coming to Heide-Park ?
DATman replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Actually, that's not true. Look at TTD. I'd say most people who went to the park when it first opened (and everyone in the Sandusky/Cleveland area, if not all of Ohio) knew that it was the tallest and fastest. It's one of the more marketable things for a coaster, as it is easily marketed to the GP. -
Euro Fighter Extreme
DATman replied to Freefall's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^Fine. But this wouldn't be painful at all, as you are barely byond vertical and it is so breif it wouldn't do much anyway. -
THE WAR ON PREFAB SUPPORTS
DATman replied to Calaway Park's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^But it isn't about realism. It's a computer game meant for people to have fun on. I honestly don't see what the fuss is about... -

THE WAR ON PREFAB SUPPORTS
DATman replied to Calaway Park's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I thought it was about the ride itself, not how it looks. Now, I do use custom supports for my steel coasters, but for woodies, I honestly don't see the point, as it really isn't about what's holding up the ride, but the ride... -

I love how absolutely ignorant some people can be (yes, I know that some of you are kidding). I mean, Wes said it like 5 times and you still posted little theories. Would it kill ya to read a thread before posting?

Well, I definitely missed ours (in TO) when it turned into a Sports store that just went under. It was nice, as it was like 5 minutes from my house.

I take it that the guy who names rides at Cedar Fair really hates his job. -
Let's see: El Toro, The Voyage, Colossus, Balder, and Flight of Fear (only lap bar).

^If only, too bad it was released in 2006. It has 4 Oscar nominations this year, and it has a very good chance in all of them.

Who's in Favor of School Dress Codes?
DATman replied to Shavethewhales's topic in Random, Random, Random
^You would be surprised. It breaks down barriers at my school. I mean, most of us don't care about looks, but more personality. Sure, there are the typical people who do, but it really does work for most of us. I mean, it gives us all something to relate to each other. The weakness in your whole argument is that you are not in a school wearing a uniform (that I know of. I mean, you're 21...), and things do change. Or you may only be remembering the bad and not the good. -
Who's in Favor of School Dress Codes?
DATman replied to Shavethewhales's topic in Random, Random, Random
However much we may hate uniforms (I do too), it really is better for a school because you'd be SO surprised at the difference between the attitudes of public school kinds (many of which can afford private school) and private school kids. They really do make a difference, no matter how much you hate them and don't want to admit it. I mean, how do you tease someone who is wearing exactly what you are? ^^^Not every kid is an idiot, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't generalize like that. It'd be like me saying that everyone over 18 is old-fashioned. Both are obviously nowhere near true. Besides, there have always been idiots. They just do different things that make them look stupid.
