Holiday Park Discussion Thread
Pedrinho replied to devol4's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ In our local print newspapers a new big coaster was rumored all over the first decade of this century. But since a few years the rumors died down. Honestly, we're happy that the park didn't die during corona. Now some additions smaller than a new coaster are made over the next years. I suppose once the hotel is finished and working, they'll do something bigger. If it's a coaster and if it's world-class - we'll see. My two cents: First try to run GeForce with two trains, without stacking so you don't need to wait 30 minutes for 10 trains to be sent, then think bigger. First do you homework, then go out and play. -

Europa Park Discussion Thread
Pedrinho replied to Ultracoasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Honestly, as one who feels home at Europa Park ans has been there at every possible stage of crowdyness, I assume (not guarantee!) that it will be really save to go now. Crowds will be very low, the park cuts the crowds somewhere between 25% and 33%. With the new virtual queue, you'll have to stand in line even less. Take two days, if not affordable don't stay on site as most of the private venues are within a five minute walk from the entrace to save money. Kiefer Apartments would be my first choice of call. Also, everyone in Rust needs money now, so share your expenses not only to Europa helps everyone right now. It will be no park experience like usual, but in two days you will be able to ride every ride as much as you want. If you've only got one day, you may be able to do everything, but you may miss a lot of the unique park experience and details. Besides wearing masks and having to keep a distance, the whole team will do everything to give you a perfect good time during the crisis. -

^ I just can't see them inventing a system, implementing it in the app and then throwing it into the trash bin after some month just because the pandemic is getting easier to handle. But maybe it's just me hoping to quit standing in lines at Europa. -

Today Europa-Park announced to introduce Virtual Queue as mandatory for Blue Fire, Arthur, Eurosat and Euro-Mir. I hope this is the first step to a lane skipping system after this mess is over. -

Not every rattling sound makes a coaster rough.. I don't mind hearing a coaster. I haven't been on Millennium Force since three years. But I rode it over and over on four consecutive days from heavy sunshine to a light drizzle, in every train in almost every row. We had almost 50 rides. And after we came home we heard trip reports from the same days stating it would be unbearably rough. I have no clue if these people aren't riding other coasters or where this comes from. Same with Blue Fire. Peolple expect it to be glass smooth. One little bang here or there - rough! Zach - I love your sarcasm Thanks for making my morning better! -

Europa Park Discussion Thread
Pedrinho replied to Ultracoasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ and ^^ You're welcome! Yeah, but here in Germany it's really confusing. As our states are so much smaller than yours, it's sometimes hard to understand. If you live let's say in Frankfurt, you have roughly a two hour drive to Europa Park and to Phantasialand and a one hour drive to Holiday-Park. As they are in three different states there are - as of today - three different rules: Phantasialand could open today (but they won't), Europa Park will open on the End of May and for Holiday-Park there'e no opening day determined, but it will not be before May 25th. So this one person from Frankfurt which is possibly carrying corona is not allowed in Europa Park or Holiday-Park, but in Phatasialand. Same goes for restaurants, if you are living close to the state borders. As of today, one household - no matter how many people - can meet with another household, no matter how many people. After that, household one can meet with another 20 people from a third household. But you're not allowed in a group of three if you are from three households of one family. So yeah, Kyle. It's 2020's tagline. We just have to accept. And to sit in the garden and have a nice BBQ. -

Well, I'm from Germany. It's simply that all recreational facilities with water, such as pools, spas, etc. are closed by the government. Same for all indoor activities. As rulatica is both, there is no other option for it to remain closed. Please don't ask me for the logic behind - it's just the law. My workplace (community college) for adults is closed in my state, where the same colleges in other states are open and primary schools in my state are open. So there's no consistent logic in this. -
COVID-19 and Season Passes (Memberships)
Pedrinho replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Holiday Park in Germany (and along with that all Plopsa Parks as I read it) will count the days your membership could not be used during their closures and will add that days as soon as the parks will reopen. For example: Our membership ended April 7th. Tha park had to close at March 16th. We would have had around ten days where our membership was still active but we could't go. so as soon as the parks reopen, we will get these days for free until a new membership is needed. -
What parks are you visiting in 2020?
Pedrinho replied to VF15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh well.. I have to update my original plans. I'll visit the first park that will open in a way we may have a good day there and which is doable for us with our newborn. I want to get my a$$ back on a coaster so bad. -

So.. We ordered burgers the other day to support our local food business. I had a triple cheese Burger with goat cheese, cheddar and gouda, roasted onions, bacon, sour cream, bbq sauce. Sarah had one with arugula, double cheddar, double bacon, fried egg, potato chips, onion jam, bbq sauce. It was so tasty. I beg them to survive the crisis. To complete them, we made sweet potato fries. Die Patin (The Godmother), Sarah's burger Drei-Käse-Hoch (literally Three-Cheese-High; meaning ankle-biter), my burger

The biggest next yet unannounced attraction will be the parks opening in 2020 and the rules that will apply.
