  1. Does anyone know why they dumped the Main Midway live camera? https://www.cedarpoint.com/explore/live-video
  2. Finally.. That should have been my distraction from work for the last weeks! Can't wait to be back in the States and in KI especially!
  3. I thought the very same Right now I'm really in the mood for coastering around - now, that all my local parks are done for the season.
  4. Can anyone explain to me what's inside an enthusiasts head? Would a 300 ft lift hill with a 286 ft drop be a giga? And why? It's 14 ft. less of a drop than Orion. What about 325 ft lift with a 250 ft. drop? Is that a giga? What about a 350 ft lift with a drop of 60 ft, a little hill of 10 ft, another drop of 60 ft and so on? What if it's built on a cliff, has no lift, but a 350 ft drop? Seriously people. It's a giga.
  5. Thanks for all your work! I'm relly looking forward to if my rankings are changing in comparison to last years poll, where my new coasters will land in my personal list as well as in the overall and what the 2019 winners will be!
  6. ^ Yes, and you have to add the fact that during the halloween season the park is open until 11 pm and the coaster is located above the rapid river, giving some nice, natural fog effects!
  7. ^ But don't expect both coasters to open with the park in spring. That will easily be mid summer and themeing may not be ready when the coasters open.
  8. Thanks! Yeah, sounds about possible. I waited one and a half minute before the gate opened, plus seating, checking seat belts, checking restraints, cycling the train and unboarding it seems to can easily be more than four or five minutes.
  9. Here's our trip report of our recent visit: https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1925236#p1925236
  10. Photo Trip report from Holiday-Park, October 30th 2019 As I was able to have a half day off and the weather was beautiful, we decided to make a fast last trip of the season to holiday park. Sarah took some last rides with Paul on the Flip ride and the carousel (the only things she could do due to her pregnancy), I took him onto the frogs (his favorite ride) before we got us some food and I hit the two coasters, while Sarah and Paul went to Holiday Indoor to go to the playground and the wooden carousel, where he took a lot of rides. He also loves this Indoor playground - maybe we'll hit that again during the off season. The coasters: Expedition GeForce: The line was about 30 minutes due to one train operations. I don't get that. It was their halloween event and the park was packed. And the loading procedures in Holiday-Park are so awful - when I was next in line, my seat was 1:40 minutes empty before they opened the air gates. I looked at the clock, because it took so long for every time. It's a shame because I really think I would have had two or three rides in the same time I had one if this coaster would be in Cedar Point. The positive side is, that it went dark while I waited in line, so my ride was a night ride in my favorite seat (back left). As soon as the front of the train went downhill, all my anger went away and I had an awesome last ride of the season. This coaster is so good, and has been all the year! The only thing it might need would be some paint. Sky Scream: Nothing good or bad to say. I really like it, it was glass smooth as always. If the line is under five minutes, I'll always be riding it on and on! Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed our trip report. Here are some photos of our tour: Beautiful weather - blue sky! Nicely themed flip ride... ...well enjoyed by Sarah and Paul! Ye olde carousel Themeing for the fright nights starting at 6pm Just a beautiful looking and well themed coaster Where's the train? Here it is! As I waited, the sun set The wooden carousel Night shot 1 Night shot 2

  16. Hey TPR, as our theme park trips are getting more and more, we wanted to have a central thread to summarize our trip reports! Comments, thoughts and tips are always welcome! As our family went from two to three in May 2018, we decided to bring Paul to theme parks from the very beginning - and try to socialize him in a manner that he won't be one of these folks we all don't want to see and be around with in parks. We hope to educate him to behave well, to acknowledge how unusual it is to have parents who will take him anywhere in the world and how to treat the theme park employees right. Besides that, we want to have the best days possible as a family, far off our daily routine. If everything works fine, there will be four of us up from May 2020, so our journey will get some new aspects! Our first trip reports were written in the particular threads, but up from now, we'll post them only here! The Graf family in October 2019!
  17. So, Tripsdrill announced yesterday that they are adding not one, but two new coasters for the 2020 season. I only found sources in German right now, but I'll translate the important facts: https://bnn.de/nachrichten/suedwestecho/einmalige-doppelkonstruktion-in-tripsdrill The first coaster will be a 500 m (1640 ft) long family boomerang from Vekoma, 22 m (72 ft) high, 80 km/h (37 mph) fast. The other one, which will be intertwined with the boomerang, will be the prototype of the Vekoma suspended thrill coaster, four inversions, 30 m (98 ft) high, 800 m (2624 ft) long and 80 km/h (49 mph) fast. Pretty interesting facts for me. You can be sure they'll be as amazingly themed as the other coasters, so that might be a winner for the park. The exact opening dates are not official yet.
  18. Expedition Geforce, night ride yesterday!
  19. Invertigo - Kings Island
  20. GateKeeper - Cedar Point!
  21. Eurosat CanCan Coaster - Europapark
  22. Thanks to the awesome Cedar Point employees I finally got my first nanocoaster which sits now on my desk at work to remind me of the bright side of life! Maverick, my love
  23. We went to a local, individually owned burger joint.. So great. Triple Cheese Burger - mozzarella, cheddar and goat cheese Chili Cheese Burger Bacon & Egg Burger
