  1. If my calculations are correct, when this thing hits 88 MPH, you're gonna see some serious sh*t! Next Movie: Up in Smoke
  2. That's interesting, because I've been planning a book about the old Epcot Center, describing the place in great detail. There's one that's already out which I own, but that came out all the way back in 1982 when the park was just opened. I'd like to take a closer look at what happened with it, and outline why it changed so drastically, other than the obvious reasons. Actually, I think I'm going to start it off as an aritcle, and send it to a few magazines that accept freelance material, and see if I get any takers, then I might expand the material into a book if it attracts enough interest.
  3. I feel sorry for this guy. Someone who's that obsessed with Disney these days is automatically going to get some unfavorable comparisons with Michael Jackson, and that's NEVER a good thing. Add in the fact that he let Rebecca slip through his fingers, and that his latest TV venture was a dismal failure, and you've got a recipie for multiple strike-out's with other women, my friend.
  4. Wow... I really need to start going there on weekdays in May.
  5. Wait wait...you mean to tell me there's a UNIQUE coaster made by Veklona? My mind is totally blown now
  6. I agree with you 100% about the Blair Witch Project. I really just didn't understand the hype behind it all. Another one I didn't like was Conan The Destroyer. The original Conan The Barbarian was a fascinating film, and it had a wonderful score from Basil Poledouris, which I own on CD. Conan The Destroyer on the other hand was injected with too much dumb humor, and made the mistake of casting the eternally insane Grace Jones in a part. Doug "That woman needs a tranquilizer!" Booth
  7. Ok...so he needs a little mental help...but why the hell would he want to get it in South Africa?... It's too bad the show's going on Hiatus because of this. I just hope this isn't permanent.
  8. Dr. Jones...Again we find that there is nothing you can possess which I cannot take away. Next movie: X2: X-Men United
  9. "I love you..." "I know..." Next: Rain Man
  10. God, I've spent far too much time away from CP now. First I miss out on TTD, now they've got that AWESOME looking Maxair up and running. Doug "Currently running out to plan another birthday trip to CP." Booth
  11. ooohhhhhhhhhh kay.... That was interesting, to say the very least.
  12. "I'm a zit!...Get it?" Next: The Shining
  13. "Doesn't it bother you, that your son's only source of sexual pleasure is from tossing off to nudie magazines in the bathroom?" Next Movie: Blade Runner
  14. I remember in 2000, feeling the terror of discovering that Horizons would be going away, not long after finding out that Test Track had replaced World of Motion, an old favorite of mine. This got me thinking, if the management at Disney weren't such penny-pinchers, it would have been great if all the old attractions of EPCOT were rebuilt in a special area of the park that dubbed "Lost EPCOT" like Kennywood's "Lost Kennywood" section. I know it's a pipe dream now, but it would have been so great to see those wonderful old attractions co-existing with the thrill rides. But I guess that was too expensive to consider. Though, I wasn't sad to see the old Universe of Energy Show go away. God that thing was dull. I don't think anyone misses that one.
  15. I shouldn't be surprised that this turned out to be tame like so many other recent coasters. Again, I think this has a lot to do with the media watchdogs who look out for any accident that may happen, and then jump all over it, thus forcing the park to do numerous things with their rides. It really sucks.
  16. I miss Kennywood. I haven't been to that place since 1996, back when the old Steel Phantom was running. Doug "I'd give anything to ride Phantom's Revenge right now" Booth
  17. Wes, you're entitled to your opinion, but of all the times I've been to Disney, I have never seen anything from the employees to make me think they were "jackasses", so your assertion that they are is quite shocking to me. I don't know what they did to you to make you come off as so bitter and angry towards them, but to me Disney's employees have always been standard-bearers in this industry. But if someone says that about Eisner and his cronies at the top of the heap, then I'd be inclined to agree with that person.
  18. Hold the phone...there was "Gremlins" themed dark ride there? I've been dreaming up something like that for years in my head.
  19. I've been to WDW a few times. I went there in 1986 as a kid, and got to see EPCOT in it's old glory days. I'll always remember that. I returned in 1991 and got to see MGM, but Space Mountain was being rehabbed at MK, so that was bad timing. But, I returned again in 1994, and went on Space Mountain numerous times in one morning, and every time I'd come out the exit and play some "Killer Instinct" in the arcade nearby before going on again. That was fun. The last time was in 1999, when my mom unfortunately got food poisoning while we were there. But, she was able to come on the last day when we went to EPCOT. Plus I got to go off to downtown Disney by myself and see DisneyQuest and the AMC theater there. I almost felt as if I'd died and gone to heaven in that place. I'm also considering going there on the solo trip I've been thinking of doing this year, if I can find an affordable way to do it.
  20. Bermuda Triangle Alien Encounter???... I'm still scratching my head at that name.
  21. Normally, I'd say that any animated movie coming out these days that isn't CGI doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at the Box office, but given Tim Burton's wild imagination, and the enduring popularity of Nightmare Before Christmas, I'll make an exception and say that this one has a fair chance of succeeding. Yes, Tim Burton's a strange man, but a lot of good things in the entertainment world have come from the strange people.
  22. So what?...my cat's name is Sinbad.
  23. Drunk: Want a drink? Old Lady: Certainly not! *sniffs cocaine* Next Movie: Braveheart
  24. I never even saw the Village, and I was still able to guess what the twist to the whole story was. Think about it...M. Night Shamylan is from Pennsylvania...what's one of Pennsylvania's defining features?...The Amish. Just goes to show you once again that Shamylan's nothing more than a one-trick pony. Though I always thought Unbreakable was a better movie than most others thought it was.
  25. Stu? That's more of a thick soup than a name. Next movie: Aliens
