  1. I rode back car on Big Bad Wolf during a rainstorm. Water dripped off each wheel assembly cover right into our faces. Epic ride!
  2. The upside down straight away looks longer than Velocicoaster's. Im interested to see how the speed compares too
  3. There was credible intel in 2019 BC that the Frankentrain was at the end of its service life, but havent heard anything since.
  4. Think of it this way... you got 3 LL rides. With FP+ you could only book 3 anyway. Yeah, you could get more after using those 3 but on a busy day like youre describing, it probably wouldnt have happened anyway.
  5. Ive done the fairgrounds one, and just these 2 pics makes it look better than that already, lol. But I cant say for sure. Looks like it should be more than that.
  6. I havent been there myself yet, but from pics and friends reviews, they did a fantastic job with Magic of Lights.
  7. ^ yeah no complaint about the quality, just the portion size
  8. One week after my sons tournament at SportsForce.
  9. Backbeat was good, but 4 slices of brisket for $16?
  10. He's a grown man (or woman) who can make their own decisions. They asked for suggestions and I gave them. If he skips Dr. Doom, he could ride any of the other S&S Spaceshots in the country and have the same or similar experience. Likewise, suggesting a grown adult skip a kiddie/junior coaster isnt that crazy of a suggestion, unless they have kids.
  11. I gave my reasons in the post. Plus, they only have one day.
  12. Panda Express isnt too far away either.
  13. Skip Flight of the Hippogriff (short and lame, like Barnstormer) and Dr. Doom's Fear Fall (S&S Spaceshot with theming). If you dont want to get drenched, skip Ripsaw Falls and Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges. Although Ripsaw Falls wont get you quite as wet as Popeye and is a great flume overall. Ride Velocicoaster as much as you can. Others recommend rope dropping Hagrids, I think because its not on Express Pass. I didnt have it (family of 4, too expensive) and didnt rope drop so cant confirm. If youre prone to motion sickness, pop Dramamine before Forbidden Journey.
  14. Nothing earth shattering, but the first two rides announced are a Scrambler and Mack Caterpillar.
  15. Curious as to your thoughts on Disney's current service reductions as someone who was inside the operation... do you think it lies with Chapek? Circumstantial evidence, Covid aside, would make it seem so.
  16. Hurricane Harbor was scheduled for 2020 BC, not sure if its been canceled or just postponed.
  17. ^ fair point, we still havent done any of the shows besides Tough to be a Bug. Nemo hasnt reopened yet. Wait times being low the other day certainly helped.
  18. My opinion is that AK is a park you can do in a day at a leisurely pace, vs. MK or Epcot, which can be a race to finish. My biggest issue with AK is that its far and away the hottest park as a whole, almost as hot as Toy Story Land.
  19. The ride itself is great, but some of the animatronics were looking "derpy" yesterday. Just needs some refurb I think.
  20. Two thoughts as i'm currently at the park... 1. Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls and Jurassic River adventure are looking tired and dated. 2. Velocicoaster is insane.
  21. The Shaman animatronic is currently not there no less, its a screen.
