TPRMemes 3: Amusement Park Grumpy Cat

This is so awesome. dt Well, whether one likes it or not, it still won the THEA Award for Nighttime Shows in 2011, which is the highest honor for the themed entertainment industry. This isn't actually all that impressive, since nighttime shows at any other place besides a Disney park are usually pretty similar to a guy waiving a laser pointer in the air for a bit and then shooting off fireworks from the back of his pickup, while blasting Bon Jovi from his 8 Track player. Not really hard to win an award when faced with that sort of competition... dt

Yeah, this ride is, um, not very good... dt -
This is horrible and yet entertaining at the same time. I love how they're trying to cover up how bad this is. Every time I think Carnival can sink no lower, they end up proving me wrong. They have to be one of the worst companies on the planet at this point. And to the "Carnival Apologist & Cruise Expert" please defend sewage dripping down walls as anything but horrible. Oh, that's right, you can't. The conditions on this ship are unbelievable, and I'm thinking the pictures/video we're going to see over the coming days are only going to get worse. Keep it Klassy, Carnival! dt

I'm sure Cruise Critic will be filled with Carnival apologists just like it is whenever anyone says anything negative about Carnival there. Because as long as you can pack as many people into a room as cheaply as possible and you serve cheap Bud Light, who cares if the food is edible or toilets work? YOLO! Yeah, the upcoming deluge of ship photos from this cruise should be amusing. But photos of sewage filled hallways are not going to stop the average Carnival customer from going on another Carnival cruise. But as Robb noted, if this keeps them off Royal Caribbean, this is a GOOD thing! dt

This report belongs in the Hall Of Fame. Thanks for all the updates! I really liked HKDL when I was there in 2008. I'd much rather visit it than Paris or Disneyland/DCA. Would love to go back there again some day. dt

It's smooth when compare to Hurler, I suppose. Other than that, yeah, not so much. dt -

I love how people that have never been on the ride know more about it than people that have. Trust me, new restraints or whatever will NOT make this a "good" ride. It is one of the worst coasters on the planet. I just cannot see how replacing some track will make this ride better. Unless they're replacing all the track, and that track is from Intamin, and the ride is called Expedition GeForce 2. That might work. dt -

^That is amazing. I thought this was a choice quote from one of the articles I read: Wow, you're not going to attempt to sail this boat right away after a fire and the mess that has followed? Good call, Carnival! I'm sure you'll have this floating prison back at sea in no time. Likely without cleaning it. Why anyone gives this company any of their money is beyond me... dt

Yeah, pretty much the only way this is going to improve the ride is if the trains get dropped onto the coaster from a great height, knocking it down and forcing them to build something new. This ride is, um, not good... dt
