  1. It's been many years since I've seen it, and while I loved the movie, getting through all the pre-show crap to see it was boiling hot death. Won't miss it. Still better than Pottertown, though... dt
  2. If I was having a Post Of The Year contest, this would be a strong contender for the winner. dt
  3. That is an expression that says "Enjoy your New Year celebration, as it may be your last". dt
  4. I remember the Half Pipe being quite brutal for me in 2008. I did really like this park a lot, and am glad to see it's still being kept in good condition. dt
  5. Lynch Mob - Wicked Sensation dt
  6. Cool topic. I'll play. I've been to a lot of places, most of them in the last ten years (anyone that ever tells you that high school/college is "the best time of your life" is a horrible liar and should be tasered immediately. I never went anywhere when I was growing up, except to relatives' houses, where I got to listen to old people whine about how bread used to cost a nickel and other fascinating facts. This may explain a lot why I have such disdain for humans. Anyway, having money and being able to do whatever you want blows away stupid college about a billion times over), but there are a few that come to mind, including one that you'll think I'm insane for listing, but I don't care. - I want to take Deena to Paris. She's never been there, and it's my favorite city in the world, and I know she'll love it - Australia/ New Zealand - South Africa, to go on a safari and also to go watch sharks off the coast. Not brave enough to get in a shark cage, though - Alaskan cruise I'd also like to visit all 50 states, but I have to sit down and figure out which ones I'm missing. And there are places I'd love to go again, like Yosemite. But the number one place I want to visit, and feel that in this day and age that this is somewhere I SHOULD be able to visit is...THE MOON. Seriously, we landed there 40-something years ago, why the hell does Southwest not already have $9999 flights there? I do not get this. One of my goals in life has always been to walk around on the moon (seriously. I wrote this down on a list a long time ago. One of the other things on the list is "never eat at Taco Bell" and I'm totally nailing that one so far). I do not understand why there has not been a massive push for space exploration/tourism. We've pretty much exploited every corner of this planet, is it not time to put casinos and terrible tacky shops in various moon craters? I THINK YES! If scientists fail us by not keeping the Kardashians from breeding, the least they can do is come up with some cheap rockets or whatever to get us to some sort of awesome moon base. I'm old, Rocket Scientists, so make this happen soon! dt
  7. Serenity - Coldness Kills dt

  12. ^Agreed. They've been making a lot of smart moves with the parks, and I'd like to see it continue. dt

  14. Joe Satriani - Flying In A Blue Dream dt
  15. I kind of like the idea of Minnesota with a trunk, like it's a bizarre science experiment gone mad...hmm, new SyFy Channel Original? And am I the only one that thinks the longer time passes, the less likely it is that Avatarland will ever get built? dt
  16. I agree with all of this, but would still pretty much kill to have a Lava Monster plush... dt
  17. Queen - Somebody To Love dt
  18. I rode SoB within a week or so of it first opening in 2000. My first ride still ranks as one of the worst coaster rides I've ever experienced (I think it's tied with my first ride on Flight Of Fear with OTSRs at KD). This ride was brutal, painful, and had ZERO redeeming qualities. The layout was awful (anyone that says "oh, it looked so impressive" or whatever and never rode it has no idea what they're talking about), the trains were worse, and the whole thing was just a complete disaster from the first day. The loop was actually the best thing about it, mainly because it stopped the constant jackhammering from the rest of the track for two seconds or so, before you were plunged back into suffering. This ride has to rank up there with one of the biggest mistakes made by any park ever, and it getting torn down is indeed a highlight of 2012. Replacing it with churro cart would be a vast improvement. dt
  19. Queen - You're My Best Friend dt
  20. As always, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about doing most things in life. People can learn these things if they take the time to read and understand what they are reading. And this thread is awesome not only for its educational purposes, but because there's a Wayne's World reference... dt
  21. Motorhead - Killed By Death dt
  22. Loving all this Opryland stuff. One of those parks I really wish I had been able to visit. dt
