  1. Although this coaster is now gone, Ozark Wildcat. I was really young (so therefore pretty short) when I visited Celebration City but I remember I was able to ride Ozark Wildcat. I was one of those rides where I was in the yellow zone so I could ride but had to ride with an adult.
  2. I honestly think something big is coming to the dry park next year. I think this year was meant to save up capital for next year. And I think it is good to be a bit patient, I mean the Koch's bought this park only a couple years ago. In 2014 they added a bunch of kiddie rides and such, 2015 they refurbished and reopened Rampage, in 2016 they added a new restaurant and two other family rides. Now this year is a bit slow with them only building a new bridge/entrance into the dry park. I could see them getting at least two larger flat rides next year. I think this park will become great over the next couple years, I mean just look at how well they took care of Holiday World.
  3. What a nice little coaster! What a perfect little coaster for a perfect little park! I'll be excited to visit.
  4. I know right? When they said new entrance I was super scared they were going to go with one of those modern entrances like at Cedar Point and Carowinds. I hate those entrances, this one looks classic and welcoming.
  5. Sounds like a nice expansion is coming to the park in 2018! Dan Koch posted a picture on Facebook of the new bridge connecting the dry park and the water park with the caption "Water Park entrance redo is nearing completion. Needed for 2018 expansion and future growth." I hope it is a couple flat rides! I really hope they get a Scrambler, some Flying Scooters, and maybe some high thrill flat ride maybe from Zamperla. Maybe they could also finally reopen the log flume! What our your guys' thoughts?
  6. How adorable! Those trains are just precious. And what vibrant colors! This is probably one of the most exciting additions of 2017 for me! It is always nice to see a small park making such a big investment! And they still take great care of their classics!
  7. Lol. It just seems weird that they would take a bar counter of all things. They could have removed a ride or two but instead got a bar counter. Lol. I would be fine with Enterprise leaving, too. I feel super cramped in those little pod things. I rode Catwoman's Whip at Six Flags Over Texas and liked it a lot better than Huss/Schwarzkopf Enterprises since it was floorless and I felt so out in the open! I would love to see them replace Enterprise with either a new Zamperla Endeavor or a Zamperla Air Race.
  8. Great photographs! I'd love to see Kentucky Kingdom add a flat ride in one of those areas within Storm Chaser, maybe like a Huss Troika and name it EF-3. Those blast from the past photos were really cool! I thought the footer picture and the bar counter from Six Flags New Orleans were especially interesting. How did they ever end up with that? And why do they keep the trains from the shuttle loop around? And did they give any hint on what would be replacing the water slides?
  9. ^^^ I'd love to see a Zamperla motorbike coaster! Those things are so cute and fun! Although I wouldn't think they'd get two flat rides along with a coaster, especially a completely new one. But who knows. I just wish Cedar Fair payed a little more attention to this park. The last new ride was the Flying Scooters in 2013. I get that they want the park to be more family oriented, but couldn't they have some sort of new addition every year? Even just a kiddie ride or a restaurant to show that they actually care about the park. I'd love to see this park get like a Breakdance or a Troika or even a drop tower. I wonder why Cedar Fair didn't purchase the S&S Double Shot from Loudoun Castle. I think it was still for sale when they went through Scotland and picked up the Troika. They originally went to Loudoun to look at the old Schwarzkopf looper but thought it would be too much work and instead bought the Troika.
  10. I think Boomerang would have a perfect fit at Michigan's Adventure, especially if they got some new trains for it like on the Flying Cobras. Boomerangs aren't that bad in my opinion, they aren't super rough, they are quite intense going backwards, the the GP love it since it goes backwards. i mean, Michigan's Adventure doesn't pull in a lot of guests so capacity wouldn't be an issue. And who knows, maybe Cedar Fair will have picked up just a few more classic flats by then and they could install it with the Boomerang. I know I'm dreaming pretty big though.
  11. I just noticed that on a different picture. Coaster Crew had a 360 picture on Facebook and I looked at Electro Spin and saw all those bolts and lines and how the seats looked bare. I'm sure they will put them on once they are done working on it. Carowinds said they hope to have Electro Spin up and running next weekend. By the way, what ever happened to the Huss Breakdance? I think if they didn't plan to install it this year that they should have at least sent it to Michigan's Adventure since they aren't really getting anything. Well, except for that kiddie cove thing in the water park.
  12. SDC is kind of the same way! There is a weird loop but then there are paths that shoot off that lead to Wildfire and the American Plunge, one that goes to Powder Keg, and then another path that leads to Wildson's Farm/Westward Expansion, then Fireman's Landing is right off the main circle, then a path leading to the Grand Exposition. Thunderation is right off the main circle. Although its entrance is a bit hard to find, and for some reason they just moved it about ten feet to the right for construction.
  13. I know there are areas like that at Silver Dollar City (my home park), too. Is Dollywood's layout as confusing as SDC's? I've always thought SDC has hard to navigate.
  14. If the coasters closed for temps (which is a common occurrence at night), the entire back of the park was a ghost town and I'd imagine Lumberjack Lifts could easily go an hour without seeing a single rider. They should honestly just lie and say that Lumberjack lifts can't operate in temperatures below 36 degrees just so they don't have to waste time and money staffing it. There are a couple of areas at Silver Dollar City (my home park) that are just like that, too. Is Dollywood's layout as confusing as Silver Dollar City's?
  15. Does anybody else find it weird that they put the kiddie coaster in an area of the park where there are no kiddie rides and the only other rides in the area are a huge wooden roller coaster and a drop tower?
  16. You are right about them adding lots of new stuff. Just a couple months ago Adventureland opened and has like a bunch of rock walls and they purchased and built the old ropes courses from Old Town in Florida, then the Track bought and rebuilt the old Chicago Ferris Wheel, there are many of these mountain coasters popping up, and there was something proposed called "Bigfoot on the Strip" and some people bought a piece of land across the street from White Water and they are wanting to build one of those combo towers from Soaring Eagle with a drop tower, slingshot ride, etc.
  17. It looks like Electro Spin is running just fine. They have been testing it non stop all day.
  18. I watched the live feed for a lot of last night and the lighting does look fairly disappointing. The only lights I saw were the ones on Zephr, spotlights on Flying Cobras, spotlights on Electro Spin, the lights on Rock'N'Roller (and the lights were only on the INSIDE of the building, I didn't see any on the outside), and some lights on one of the food stands. Maybe it will be better once they string the lights over the midway. Why didn't they give Do-Si-Do an awesome lighting package like Shake, Rattle, and Roll and Kings Island?
  19. I went to SDC today. And may I just say, do NOT go to the park on a Thursday through May 30th, they are doing half price Thursdays ($35) and it was INSANE. A security guard told me they were only expecting about 6,500 visitors today, I wouldn't be surprised if it was tripled that today. All the lots were full, there were lines just for the FOOD stands, the line for Wildfire was insane! They actually used the SECOND FLOOR queue which I never knew existed! The only line that wasn't insane was for Outlaw Run, and the line was only 15 minutes. I only rode four things: Wildfire, Outlaw Run, Thunderation (which they moved the entrance for due to construction), and Firefall (my favorite ride in the park). Then I grabbed an apple turnover at the bakery by Grandfather's Mansion, then left. BTW, I watched the construction for a while, they have the station built for the most part, and it is HUGE! It looks like a tower! Can't wait to ride whatever it is next year!
  20. So excited for the new County Fair! I love the flat rides they got for it! The County Fair is probably the thing I'm most looking forward to for the 2017 season!
  21. Probably Celebration City in Branson, Missouri, mainly because it was my home park before it closed. I've done so much research about the park and where everything went after the park closed. The only rides I don't know their current location are Stinger (the Wisdom Tornado), Fireball (the KMG Afterburner), and the Tilt-A-Whirl. I know the Tilt-A-Whirl went to Miracle Strip but then that place closed. I truly do believe the park could have survived if it had just opened at a normal time and not three in the afternoon. I also wonder why Herschend hasn't bothered to put Roaring Falls or the Carousel up for sale.
  22. What a wonderful addition! Although I'm curious. They have a Chance Aviator already that is just 70 feet shorter. Are they still going to keep it? I hope someday they get a Zamperla Giant Discovery. I love those things so much and I think it could go where Shake, Rattle, and Roll was.
  23. Wow. Assembly of this coaster only took a couple weeks. Love the name! So cute and original! And those trains look absolutely precious! I hope they get a lighting package similar to Monster's. Although I wonder if there is anybody in the area that could do something like that because if I recall a local company in Des Moines did the lighting for Monster.
  24. Probably haven't come yet. To be honest Zamperla probably tossed a bunch of random pieces for different rides in a shipping container then sent it. I think Rollin' Thunder, the Wild Mouse, and the kiddie coasters will be some of the last rides to be assembled.
  25. I absolutely love this! Although I've heard Thunderbolt isn't the *best* coaster, I'm sure Zamperla has done some tinkering with the restraints, wheel assembly, and their track bending techniques. Plus it looks to have a pretty solid flat line up! A Vertical Swing, Endeavor, Midi Discovery Revolution, Air Race, Disco Coaster, Wave Swinger, Windstar. Plus their Wild Mouse coasters are fun! Can't wait to visit!
