  1. I was super excited to see the giant arcade during my visit earlier this year, but was very disappointed that many of the games (especially the more classic ones) were not functional (or marked as such) or well maintained... I'd be curious to see what this space ends up being used for if the arcade is truly being cleared out.
  2. ^It sounds like there will be more details to be announced about the ride as they get closer to construction... In researching the theme that inspired the coasters, I'm a little surprised to find they're basing it on something so morbid.
  3. ^With that in mind doesn't it pay for you to switch/upgrade?
  4. ^It feels very similar in concept to Yard House, which is a Darden concept we have in Orlando on International Drive.
  5. ^I don't mean to point out the obvious but I can't tell if you're asking us to give you any more information beyond what the video already provided, in that this is some kind of experience at Haunt... I'm thinking it is related to this maze, as it is the only thing Swamp related I can find for the event: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/play/haunt/attractions/backwoods-bayou
  6. I really need to get to Holiday World at some point... I appreciate how much emphasis the park has placed on their wooden coasters (save for Thunderbird) and I'm itching to experience The Voyage at some point. Thanks for reminding me that needs to get back on my list of places to go!
  7. ^Based on the concept art (and what is left of the construction you mentioned), I'm thinking this is integrated into the NBA Experience complex.

  9. https://www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/news/six-flags-magic-waters Six Flags is adding Magic Waters in Rockford, IL to their list of water parks! Six Flags will operate the park starting in Spring 2019!
  10. I love seeing parks invest heavily in re-theming classic attractions rather than replacing them. This looks like it has the potential to really plus the log flume!
  11. Disneyland Paris just completed a press conference announcing some of the new and returning offerings for 2019! Check out all of the information they shared below and let us know what you're most excited to experience!
  12. Efteling has announced that the Bob will be open for a little under a year so that guests can say farewell before the ride is closed to make way for a new double family coaster, Max En Moritz! https://www.efteling.com/nl/blog/nieuws/20181009-nieuwe-achtbaan-max-en-moritz-vervangt-bob
  13. It looks like Disney’s Halloween Festival: A Spooky Mouse Skelebration is a great time to be had! Thanks for sharing these photos!
  14. Thank you for sharing such a great report from the Mall of America! This is definitely on my park bucket list... I'm just not sure when I'll get out to that side of the country, but when I do, I'll definitely be stopping into Nick Universe!
  15. New additions like these, while small for other parks, are big for a place like Conneaut, and a positive sign that they continue to invest in the long term success of the place. I'm curious to see what comes next!
  16. I'm glad to see SeaWorld continuing to invest in animal experiences in tandem with adding rides... Rides add more immediate returns, but SeaWorld's distinct approach to animal exhibits is a part of the company's DNA and something that I hope to see continue for a long time across all of the parks.
  17. Great to see the park seeing substantial investment so early in its lifespan. Heidi The Ride seemed like a solid addition for Plopsaland and a good model to build off of for this new park. I'd be curious to see if the ambition for this park follows the Toverland model with a large scale build-out of the surrounding land after starting with a modest indoor/outdoor experience at launch... And if so, how quickly will we see the park grow year over year?
  18. ^Dare I ask what the restroom options are for those "rooms?"
  19. ^While I've not got Louisville on my immediate list, I definitely wouldn't visit the city without planning time to visit Kentucky Kingdom, given just how nice their lineup has become!
  20. This looks like a really nice development for the park and a great new opening statement for the park! I'm dying to get back to Hershey as so much has changed since my visit in 2008, but I'm thinking with this now in the works, I may wait until 2020 to plan my trip!
  21. Great to see this park continuing to invest in experiences for the family! I've heard good things about Gravity Group's junior wooden coasters so I'm sure this will be a good addition to the park!
  22. This is a great report! Thanks for sharing!
  23. I genuinely would have entertained the possibility of purchasing one of these options a few weeks ago if they had been available when we visited. We strongly considered paying the extra money for one of the higher end resorts to claim this benefit but the cost gap was too significant. The cost they're asking for the unlimited access (even during peak season) is still substantially less than the difference of what we paid for a stay at Disney's Hotel Cheyenne compared to one of the resorts on property that includes this benefit.
  24. No one suggested you did... But you had to know going into this that there was a possibility that the plan wouldn't be warmly received. You've been here long enough and been active enough to understand how these forums work and to recognize that in this environment (or any other forum), you open yourself up to a gamut of responses, positive or negative. It doesn't mean TPR as a whole doesn't support projects--far from it. But the people here that have responded have done so with historical precedent and realism in mind... Just because you think it is a cool idea, it doesn't mean that others don't. I think it would be neat to see the project come to fruition. But I'm also realistic enough to look at industry trends, many of which have been chronicled on these very forums, to recognize that this most likely won't happen based on the information you've presented. What harm is it to you that others have presented their opinion that this won't likely happen? No one responding here appears to be as invested as you... So what is it that you have to lose by being in the minority here? It is your opinion or hope that it will happen. Others can think differently. That's the beauty of these forums. You don't have the right to demand that others fall in line and entertain this lofty concept as plausible just because you want to wish it into existence. Just because people don't believe that a man's model will be built into a full size coaster, it doesn't mean that the coaster enthusiasm is dead. It just means that you're letting this one situation dramatically cloud your view of a MUCH larger landscape... You're taking this all way too personally. It's more like, I'm not going to dedicate time and resources to the one person trying relocate Geauga Lake's Big Dipper with one pickup truck. The members of this forum have supported many efforts to revitalize historical elements of the amusement industry... Dreamland Margate, Conneaut Lake Park, Coney Island, Cypress Gardens/Legoland Florida, Splash Adventure/Alabama Adventure and Kentucky Kingdom are all successful efforts that have received justified support because they had financial support, governmental support and a business plan in place to succeed. The narrative you're inventing for this one concept does not in any way represent how the members of these forums fairly judge projects that succeed and those that never get off of the ground. You seem to be the only one emotionally harmed by this discussion... Maybe it is best to let it lay.
  25. Another excellent report! Thank you so much for sharing!
