thomas2 replied to Ryan King's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Haha I enjoyed that really much But sorry, it's not my style... -
Three things: 1) another month of vacation! 2) going to WB this friday! 3) finally no more of these boring classes like science or french. It's nothing else but japanese next schoolyear!

Congrats Satoshi, but you know I speak Dutch and not German

Is this a coaster?
thomas2 replied to philcoaster83's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Anything with a lift hill and some downhill elements is a coaster to me -
Haha last time I rode a Giant Inverted Boomerang there was a 0 min. wait all day! Talking about popularity But that was here in Europe, the GIB's in America are far more popular then our GIB. The most fun thing about the GIB is that you really lay on your restraint as you're being pulled up backwards. It's exiting because you know that you'll die a horrible death if the restraint opens (which ofcourse will never happen).

^is right in a clever way Valso has a videocamera, but uses it mainly for other reasons

I think that the combination of higher speed and the radius of the drop make you go forward and kinda give the impression of slowing down a bit. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this feeling
-
My grandfather had it before his death. It's really a horrible disease...

Okay so I rode my first 2 B&M's which have this little drop before the first drop (Superman - Attracion de Acero and Batman - La Fuga). Now when you sit in the last row, you have the feeling the train stops when you went down that little hill, but then you're pulled down the big drop. You don't have this feeling in the front rows. I thought about this but could't find an answer. So how is this feeling created?

Lift-hill coasters versus launched coasters
thomas2 replied to AndyGiles's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I totally agree with you. I also think launched coaster aren't as good as traditional ones, mainly because 1) they're far shorter then the regulars 2)You mostly don't have an interesting layout on launched coasters, mostly only a hill or two 3) I too think it's an cheap way to get record breaking coasters. IMO an acceleration isn't as fun as an lifthill, but that's just my opinion. -
Best Invert - Vote for your favorite!
thomas2 replied to Scott's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nooo there's no deja vu/Stunt Fall option!!! So my vote goes to Stunt Fall! The second one is a tie between Vampire and Batman - La Fuga (yeah I know it's an SLC against a B&M) -
Do we need to have OHR on Coasters
thomas2 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay just imagine lapbars on a GIB (for those who don't know: Giant Inverted Boomerang, a deja vu) That thought scares the hell out of me! -
Why does everything has to be soo expensive?!?
-
^ Is very wrong (and not funny ) < Actually, my mom is a docter so noone is allowed to get fat here:) V Isn't fat, and has never been
-
Sorry you're right, I misunderstood the text. I thought it would be removed
-
-
That's the Blue Flash coaster. Looks cool but that loop looks intense...
-
It's really dumb of them to remove it. Tizona is one of the highlights of the park. They were better of placing it somewhere else in the park rather then just deleting one of there major coasters.

Hmm at the ticket desk in the main hall wrebbit I salute you and your country's fine dark chocolate. Thanks very much for the info. Your welcome! Don't forget the delicious white chocolate!

You can reach it very easily in about 40 min. First buy yourself a "tren + entrade Parque de la Warner" ticket for 33 euro, wich includes train and entry to the park. Then go to the place the train leaves (don't know how it's called in english) which is number 4. That train takes you to the station Pinto. There you switch trains and take the one heading to San Martin de la Vega. The trainstation Parque de Ocio is the station of the park. It's a short walk from the park. It's that easy!

On Screamscape.com you find this News: So I think everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about. That's indeed good news but do you really think that it will happen? I mean the investement alone would be huge, and who knows it might not turn out to be like they hoped (as was/is the case with the park itself, who could have guessed they would get so few visitors when they constructed this brilliant park).
