  1. So I once more went to Walibi Belgium (aka Vekomaland) on september 1st. Here are some notes and remarkes: -Calamity Mine’s cars are really bad. The back of the seats is just hard metal, there’s no seatdivider and the lapbar, when completely pressed down, doesn’t come anywhere near my body. I got thrown around the whole time and my back smashed against that horrible back (I still got bruses!). I believe that the ride would be much better with other, new trains. -I for the first time raised my arms in Dalton Terror. It’s more fun that way! -Weerwolf has gotten really out-of-control over the last years, and I was quite surprised with it’ speed. But it has also gotten rougher, and that also surprised me. It’s perfect the way it is, so let’s hope it doesn’t get too much. -Cobra, the boomerang, really sucks. I hate boomerangs! -On the other hand, Turbine surprised me with it’s launch and smoothness. This ride is great, but is soo old that I fear for it’s future… -The staff was quite friendly, but those mascottes are really annoying: they grab you for a picture, even if you don’t want to and if you run away (luckily a guy in a elephant costume can’t run really fast) -People were working on Vertigo, and the lift was testing all day. 'Nuff said, time for the photo's and video's! Random cable Dalton Terror thinks: what a wuse ride! See This futuristic support kinda ruins the atmosphere of the western village... Oooh spirals! The cables cross the paths and plaza's several times Hypermodern vertical lift That cable looks really thin Look at the size of that randomly placed footer! This thing is actually rather high and impressive Oooh it's Vertigo What's that?!? Is it a cable lift, is it a coaster? Hooray for empty boats! It has an indoor backwards section which is really nice Yuck! It's called Flash Back BTW Yay, logflume with disguisting water!!! Vampire.rar Offride of Vampire This is the best part of a SLC, the 'OMG my feet are going to crash in that track!!!' part Twisty goodness Poor theming Vampire, the SLC! Weerwolf sign. Loup Garou is just french for Weerwolf because in Belgium people speak Dutch and French (and some German) Weerwolf is built on water, which gives some nice views One last shot of the lifthill because everyone likes lifthills! More out-of-control wood Twisty layout Station with very boring queu (luckily it wasn't filled that day) Final helix and brake run of Weerwolf Weerwolf, Belgium's only wooden coaster, and a really good one! It's Spongebob, and he's winking!!! This thing is huge! WB also has a big ferriswheel, with nice views from the park Wok, the dragon For you transport rides-freaks I once saw someone throwing up on this while it worked. Not very nice... Walibi also has a aquapark called Aqualibi. Here are the 2 slides Cobra.rar Offride of 'Cobra' Cobra, the crappy boomerang And backwards ofcourse. It goes pretty far up the spike racing... This is where the train leaves the loop and races for the sky Spike This one is partially enclosed, with light effects and stuff like that. Very cool (if they work) Turbine, the shuttle loop Keverbaan.rar Onride of Keverbaan That first drop totally own the one of EGF! Very small, but fun Wow a hidden kiddie coaster! I had no idea this was here! Challenge of Tuthankamon.rar Onride of Challenge of Tutankhamon wow dark ride alert. Any ride with such a sign rules Dalton Terror just looms over Vertigo it's 77m high Warning, huge phallic symbol located! This is Dalton Terror BTW Intamin goodness!!! Calamity Mine.rar Onride of Calamity Mine No comment Airtime hill over the green water Well this one sucks! Any coaster with 2 lifthills gotta be good right? BTW, that green is water! Quite nice actually, but built by Vekoma so you know what that means the "funcky" mine train Calamity Mine! In case you don't know which park this is: Walibi Belgium Yay!
  2. SD2K opens tomorrow so you might want to go and check it out
  3. Strangly rides don't intimidate me anymore nowadays. I used to be really scared in SLC's, Boomerangs and drop towers, but when I rode Silver Star, Stunt Fall, Venganza de Enigma, Superman and Batman, I wasn't scared at all. I feel that I enjoy coasters/rides much more when I'm not afraid of them. Thank god I'm past the 'scared stadium'!
  4. Well people it's going to be opened for public tomorrow! http://www.nagashima-onsen.co.jp/data/d160_1.html
  5. Well I wish you guys good luck on your trip. The idea sounds good! Too bad Australia is very far away...
  6. Great recreation GURZU! My congrats for you!
  7. ^That's really good, but I talk in my sleep (people say really sudden and loud sometimes!) so with who are you gonna pair me up Seriously, I'm going if my exams are over then, let's hope they are
  8. Well it's september 1st in Japan, Nara Dreamland is closed forever now...
  9. ^yes that's completely true. And for those who might be afraid of it: Don't worry, I won't mention SD2K once! That is if I can make it to the trip (those dates, *sigh*)
  10. Okay pair me up because there's no way I can afford that much money
  11. Wes you're right, why am I worrying about making friends?!? This is a TPR trip, anyone who hasn't made friends there is either really annoying or simply dead Last question: Madrid airport is called Barajas right?
  12. ^yeah I agree but I know nobody here in personal, nor I'm really big friends anyone going (I think?), so I don't know what to do...
  13. Okay I'm actually really interested in the spain trip. First I thought I couldn't go because I have exams than (don't know when they'll take place), but now that I know you can get a refund 'till february 1st, I might try to enter... I am dying to go actually. It would be great to meet all these people I only know from this forum, esspacially Robb and Elissa! The only thing that concerns me is if I would feel left out (yeah you know, I'm known as 'that freaky SD2K fan' ) I have one question and forgive my ignorance if this is already posted: Approximately how much extra would it cost for single rooms?
  14. Nice review and photo's. One question: how on earth could you spend an entire week in such a rather small park?
  15. ^I so envy you for going to this wonderful park! Have a good day
  16. ^ No the Terror House and that new coaster are different things. The coaster will be part of a new kiddieland.
  17. ^they are getting a new attraction: 'Terror House'. It's is something new and never seen before in France... http://walibischtroumpf.free.fr/fsb/sujet.php?message=6840#6840
  18. Yeah I agree with everyone. This site shows much more then just the rides in a park. Opinions, goofy stuff etc. are what make TPR fun. I've been searching for a good themeparksite for months and this one is really the best of them. You can also be yourself here, noone is judging you and that's great (yes I know I had my issues but they're long forgotten) Great job Robb & Elissa!!!
  19. Wow bad news, I always liked Pluto because we knew so little about it (which was basically better since it was still considered a planet then) Stupid space people!!!
  20. Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Walygator Parc, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index. Official Park Website Here are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. Enjoy! 2006 August 1st, 2006 (Below) - Park to be re-named Walygator Parc 2009 April 22nd, 2009 - Expoland's Orochi is being relocated to Walygator Parc 2010 April 18th, 2010 - Monster construction update July 13th, 2010 - Monster opens 2012 December 3rd, 2012 - Park placed in administration 2013 March 13th, 2013 - Park sold to four entrepreneurs 2014 January 26th, 2014 - Air Race announced for 2014 season April 14th, 2014 - TangOr - Topple Tower is dismantled 2015 February 19th, 2015 - rapids ride to be rethemed to "The Lost World" dinosaur theming 'Walibi Lorraine' is going to be renamed 'Walygator Parc' next year. Reason for this is that Compagnie des Alpes, who bought all the parks from the starparks group exept Walibi Lorraine and Movie Park Germany, doesn't want that a park that's not theirs uses the name Walibi (since they own all the other Walibi parks). There new mascotte will be a alligator with the name Waly (surprise) Source: http://www.centralpark-fr.com/leforum/i ... tml#169477 Yay, I guess... Waly!
  21. I don't know why but I like the coaster. Cool job!
  22. Okay so the next piece is called 'To Zanarkand' and is well-known by FFX players. It's composed by a japanese dude but I forgot his name... I dedicate this performance to Satoshi, good friend and japanese himself. This one's for you S'tosh Enjoy! To Zanarkand.WMV To Zanarkand
  23. I don't know you, you don't know me, we'll probably never meet, but congrats Mark
