  1. Ugh. Of all the possible Sundays to have Easter on, it had to be THIS Sunday. The one Sunday everyone wants me around to this or that. Why couldn't this have been another Sunday when nothing is going on?

Wild Beast @ Canada's Wonderland 03. Bandit @ Movie Park Germany 02. Dragon @ Adventureland 01. Gouderix @ Parc Asterix I'm surprised that I'm the first person in the thread to bring up Gouderix. That thing was awful (as demonstrated here).

  10. All right. Time for the second trip of the year. And of course, this takes me to of all possible places, Six Flags Magic Mountain. This was my first visit to the park since I quit working at the park. I wasn't exactly eager to return, but Batman Backwards was opening up for Season Pass holders that weekend and I figured that I better get on it soon since it'll later have a huge line and with it only being at SFMM for a limited time, I'd be sure to get on the ride while it was here. Plus, I figured I'd give the park a look and see all that was new. If you live in Southern California, definitely come out and check out Backwards Batman. It ranges from slightly more intense to definitely more intense depending on which row you sit in, and either way, its a really fun experience that you should check out. Onto the photos. Ugh. These crowds seem absolutely horrible. NO!!!! VENOM DROP IS GONE!!!! THAT WAS THE BEST SLIDE AT HURRICANE HARBOR!!!! ='( Bonzai Pipelines better be a suitable Venom Drop replacement. Judging from my Trap-door slide in Italy, it most likely will. Grr. This explains all the disgusting hideous crowds. Why are we here again? That's right. Batman Backwards is open for Season Pass holders this weekend and we're gonna ride it!! Hey!! What happened to all those disgusting crowds I saw earlier!!? SWEET!!!! Guess people are just here for Physics and not for Backwards Batman!! BACKWARDS BATMAN IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Definitely make sure you ride it in the front (back). That's where its the most forceful. Luckily, Scream never has a long line, no matter how crowded the park is. So we're safe here. Thank you Riddlers Revenge Single Riders Line, for giving us something to ride. That line for Viper is nauseating. Why are we here? In other news, Mooseburger Lodge got a makeover. And from the outside, it looks AWFUL!!! I mean, it looks bright and colorful. And it does NOT look good!!! It looks more like its trying to fit in with Full Throttle than the High Sierra Territory theme (soon, it'll be renamed ACTION BURGERS!!!). Still no development on Speedy Gonzales' Racers (AKA, yet another credit whoring coaster for SFMM). "We noticed that children are having fun on this attraction. It must be bulldozed immidietly." Hey look. They moved the Tweety Cages. Gotta admit. I like the new sign. YAY!!! A ride with a tolerable wait time!!! Lets ride!!! I love Vekoma Roller Skaters. Good god!!! We go out for a long lunch and come back and THIS is the Fastpass line for Scream!!? We're really f*cked. Scream Shadow Shot. And of course, even X2's line is beyond our limit. This is normally the time to go home, but photography awaits. On the one hand, they FINALLY updated these murals. ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! That's the good news. The bad news is that I prefer the old murals. Something about the paintings of the coasters really appealed to me. These are just the stock images that always appear on the parks website and on their brocures. So that's a bummer, but AT LEAST IT'S UPDATED!!!! Unfortunetly, its not closed for the sake of removing unnecesarry OTSRs. Eew. Not a fan of Scrambler's new paint job. Oh look. Another ride with a short line that I haven't ridden in a while. Lets go!! BARREL!!! Hmm. To ride Green Lantern or not? Well, it has a single riders line. Lets see if its functional or not. DAMMIT!!! NOT WORTH IT!!! Lets hope for better luck with Lex Luthor. Success!!! We got on a ride!!! I'm not sure why, but Lex Luthor was running GREAT today!! Seriously, today had some the best rides on Lex Luthor ever!! Yeah. When even Scream is jam-packed, you know you shouldn't be at the park. And finally, lets end the day with a marathon on Backwards Batman (because its awesome and apparently nobody here has a season pass). You seriously gotta get out here and ride Batman Backwards if you haven't already. Its that good.
  11. I agree that is seems like the GP really like stand up coasters, as all the parks that I've been to with stand up coasters has it as one of the more popular rides. I personally would like to see a comeback as I really like the larger models such as Riddlers Revenge, I don't think its gonna happen with so many other options in the market.
  12. Best Wild Mouse I've ridden so far would be the Wild Chipmunk @ Lakeside Park. Loved that thing.
  13. June 2012, it was the Wacky Worm at Walygator Parc. When was the last time you got a new credit?
  14. Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
  15. Nice Photo TR. I definitely think that Dark Harbor was the best Halloween Event in Southern California. The mazes were very well put together and impressive. I'll definitely have to return to it in the future.
  16. I'm putting my guess as a Giga Wacky Worm with flame throwers.
  17. Bombshell Blonde - Owl City
  18. I've been to most of the Six Flags Parks (Only missing SFA, SFOG, & Mexico). This is how I'd rank them. 1. Six Flags Great America - I love this park. It has a great balance of coasters, flat rides, water rides, and more. All they're missing is a dark ride. Plus, they're getting a RMC Woody, which are amazing. 2. Six Flags Great Adventure - EL TORO!!! That plus other fun coasters and some of the best operations in the Six Flags Chain with many rides running three trains. 3. Six Flags New England - I really liked this park. Lots of good rides (including Bizzaro) in a nice setting. 4. Six Flags Fiesta Texas - Great setting by the Quarry with a nice balance of coasters, flat rides, and they've even got a dark ride here. Just an overall really fun park. 5. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - Shamu...I mean Shouka. The animals are cool and some of the coasters are cool. 6. Six Flags St Louis - I liked this park and all. It was balanced with some good coasters, flat rides, and even a dark ride. I think it was the extreme heat that put the park off for me, that or they just need a new coaster. 7. Great Escape - This does not feel like a Six Flags park at all. It feels very much like a family park with a fantastic wooden coaster that was just fun to hang around. 8. Six Flags Magic Mountain - I have a little bit of a soft spot for this park due to my history with the park and really like some of their coasters. But I do not like the direction they're going in. Really wish Jay Thomas was back at the park. 9. Six Flags Over Texas - Maybe years ago, this was the best park in the chain, but it certainly wasn't anywhere NEAR the top based on their performance last year. Operations were attrocious, nobody working there seemed to know what they were doing, there plenty of dumb rules in the park, I barely was able to get all the (open) credits WITH a Gold Flashpass, and hearing that someone fell out of your best ride the day after you visit does NOT do you any favors. 10. La Ronde - This park may have some good coasters, a nice setting, and available booze, but the terrible operations, uncleanliness, and lack if a damn about customer service really makes me strongly dislike the park.
  19. The State of Massachusetts - Dropkick Murpheys
  20. Only counting full size coasters because there are too many kiddy coasters I skipped from before I became a credit whore. Coasters I didn't want to wait for Corkscrew @ Cedar Point Wildcat @ Cedar Point Roller Soaker @ Hersheypark Super Dooper Looper @ Hersheypark Sand Serpant @ Busch Gardens Tampa Bat @ Canada's Wonderland Fly @ Canada's Wonderland Exterminator @ Kennywood Coasters that were closed Indiana Jones @ Disneyland Paris Boardwalk Bullet @ Kemah Boardwalk Shockwave @ Six Flags Over Texas Half Pipe @ Elitch Gardens Cliffhanger @ Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
  21. Hello everyone. As you can see, I am Kevin, and after seeing many different threads about people's travels for a year, I figured that I should post one for all my 2014 travels. I know that this will be a big year for me as I am doing the TPR Scandinavia Trip this year, so you'll get to see all the awesomeness of Liseberg, Grona Lund, Tivoli Gardens, and much more here. I'm also hoping to get in some domestic traveling later. So yeah, this is gonna be a very big year for me. January: John's Incredible Pizza & Scandia (Scroll Down) March: Six Flags Magic Mountain (BATMAN BACKWARDS!!!) http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1429986#p1429986 June: TPR'S SCANDINAVIA TRIP!!!! Copenhagen http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1501142#p1501142 Sommerland Sjaelland http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1503844#p1503844 Bakken & Ropes Course http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1506097#p1506097 Tivoli Gardens http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=67424&p=1511391#p1511391 Bon Bon Land - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1524061#p1524061 Hansa Park - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1532053#p1532053 Legoland Billund - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1539470#p1539470 Djurs Sommerland - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1559916#p1559916 _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anyways, lets get onto the first day trip of the year. I was meeting up with some friends down in the Inland Empire, and we decided to hit up Scandia because it may be a small little park, but it is awesome and so is the Scandia Screamer (Seriously, if you live in Southern California and haven't ridden the Scandia Screamer yet, make sure to visit the park this year). It's definitely one of the more underrated roller coasters out there. And while I was down here, I decided to embrace the credit whore within me and head over to John's Incredible Pizza as they had the only credit in Southern California that I still had to get. Yes, it was embarrassing, but at least I'm done with half of my home state. Anyways, lets get onto the photos. All right. Lets just get this over with as quickly as possible. I think this wins the award for most embarrassing credit received yet. CHA-CHING!!!! The pizza here was ok. About on par with Pizza Hut, only with more varieties. Kind of bummed that they didn't have any of the Spicy Peanut Pizza as thats what I wanted to try. Oh well. Ok, I got it. Now lets get out of there and go where the good stuff is. Dammit!! Now my plans are ruined!! The more I ride this thing, the crazier it gets. Screw seeing the actual Little Mermaid this summer in Copenhagen. I've got the Scandia version right here!!! As a cliff jumper, I am very pleased with the name of this drop tower. Come on!! Lets get on Thors Hammer while we're here!! GOD DAMMIT!! Come on. Who needs a seat to ride the Screaming Swing. =P More Scandia Screamer Goodness. This may not look that impressive, but this thing'll really kick your ass. Just a few seconds away from getting ejected down the first drop. SLAM!!!! After that day of craziness, we decided to head over to Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Resteraunt and grab some shots while we're here. Hey!! According to Mrs. Knotts, Perilous Plunge is still at Knotts Berry Farm (Oh, and apparently so is Windseeker, but who cares about that)!! Thanks for reading and hopefully more will be posted soon.
