  1. I think this is really sad. As someone who grew up in Florida I can say first hand how excited I would get when I got to go to Disney. Like the guy said on the video, his kids were crushed. I can't imagine what I would tell a kid if I brought him to the front gates of Disneyland and then said we have to go home. The kids who were being lifted over the gates and pushed around in the riot must have been terrified, and I think that's really upsetting.
  2. ^It depends, does that count as a credit?
  3. I love BGT, especially now that it has SheiKra. I agree that Kumba is awsome, I think it's a prime example of how B&M can make intense rides that are out of control
  4. ^ Sadly, not. I've lived about 2 hours away from Orlando for my whole life and the last time I've been to Sea World was before Journey to Atlantis started construction. I just think Hulk's roll after the launch is insane, the only inversion I like more is Storm Runner's Flying Snake Dive.
  5. If I recall correctly, isn't there some restriction with BGW and wooden coasters? Aren't they not allowed to build one because of the noise levels and King's Mill? I'm not sure about this, but Im pretty sure there's something with BGW and wooden coasters
  6. ^yeah but with $3.00 bottles of water one can't help but feel like somewhat of a prisoner.
  7. I thought the quote about the bigger rides down the road came from the high school student
  8. Thank God. I saw pictures of that ride from this summer and it looked terrible.
  9. The whole location thing would be easy to work around with a Dive Machine. I have been to BGT penty of times and when I heard they were building SheiKra in Stanleyville I was pretty shocked because I had no clue there was any room left in Stanleyville, but it fit in quite nicely
  10. Umm, I think it's hard to get mixed up about getting stuck upside down, aka she's full of crap. The GP come up with the funniest stories, one person I know said she was at CP and was about to ride TTD but didn't get to ride because it was launching too fast and someone's neck snapped from the launch.
  11. As someone said earlier in this thread, I kinda feel like Family Guy is hit or miss. I got the season 1&2 DVD's for Christmas and I have watched some episodes multiple times without even watching some of the lesser episodes once.
  12. I don't know, but BGW always sparks my interest since it is probably my favorite all-around theme park (combination of atmosphere, coasters, theming, landscaping, etc) right in front of IOA, EPCOT, and Hersheypark.
  13. I think people put too much weight on polls like that. I think it's a fun thing to look at, but in the end it's all about personal choice; like i said, my top three coasters go in reverse order on the poll with a coaster that's not even in my top 10 ahead of all three of them.
  14. I heard that BGW was getting a dive machine for New France in 2007, although I can't confirm how accurate the source was.
  15. My top 3: 1)Apollo's Chariot 2)Storm Runner 3)SheiKra Although I believe Mitch Hawker's poll had those rides in the exact opposite order, with SFA's Superman (which isn't even in my top ten) ahead of all of those. It just goes to show you how much people's opinions can differ.
  16. I haven't ridden either Beast, but Lochness Monster was a true hidden gem. I was expecting it to be fun, but nowhere near as fun as it turned out to be. Unfortunatly, the surprise that Lochness gave me was balanced out by the dissapointment of Alpengeist.
  17. Yeah, American Dad keeps getting funnier and funnier IMO, I love the alien on that show, he's so funny. I personally think South Park owns all cartoon shows, the newer the episodes get the better they get.
  18. I love Hulk, but I get more rides on the Dragons whenever I go, I think they're more re-rideable since they keep most of their intensity throughout the ride, especially Fire.
  19. Umm, actaully CP is getting a Screaming Swing for 2006 called Skyhawk
  20. I really want to ride Atlantis Adventure at Lotte World, but I don't see that happenning any time soon. I read the storyline a while back and the ride seemed amazing. In the more realistic future I really want to ride Both of the new Goliaths, although I doubt LaRonde will happen this year.
  21. I didn't particularly care for this weeks episode, I think they made Stewie go from an evil genious (which is funny) to someone that you hated by the way he kept beating up Brian. I didn't think that was funny, it just took away from Stewie's character. Aside from that I think that the rest of the jokes were kinda stale, I think the funniest part of the whole episode was when Brian pushed Stewie in front of the bus at the end.
  22. I went to MK the first week of 2006 and the people mover was looking a mess . There was smoothie all over the glass that seperates the ride form Buzz lightyear, the narration wasn't working at half of the scenes, and for half the ride we were getting "Please stay seated, the ride will continue moving momentarily" even though we weren't stopped. I like that ride a lot too, so maybe they cleaned it up since then since extensive rehab wasn't really needed to fix any of those problems.
  23. I love Universal Studios, the park is just so great, I had a season pass last year, but I didn't renew it this year since it was more about BGT this year for me (Umm, SheiKra rules BTW, CP needs to go for a 500 foot Dive Machine). I liked your pics, I agree with you about Hulk running out of steam in the end, but the ride is fantastic until after the second verticle loop IMO. I signed w/ Clemson during the early signing period, but I do kinda know a kid who signed with Georgia Tech. When I went on my recruiting trip to Clemson some guys were going to SFOG the day after I left and they said that it was about an equal drive to PC and SFOG from there
  24. Depending on when you're going I might be able to, but if not you should see me around SFOG more often next year
  25. Well if you liked Kraken's zero-g roll just wait to ride Hulk! Hulk's first inversion is insane, although it's debatable which is the overall better ride between Kraken and Hulk.
