  1. Oh man. You're going to be so hooked. It's seriously the best show on TV right now, and the best one that's been on in the last couple of years. It's actually based on a series of books, and from what I've read, it seems to follow the story line fairly well, and Michael C. Hall does an absolutely AMAZING job at the character. At first, it was really hard picturing him as a serial killer, based on his part in 6 feet under, but now his character in 6FU doesn't make any sense to me because I picture him as Dexter. (does that make sense?) A couple of other good ones to check out are: Californication Weeds (obviously, though it's getting a bit boring now that they're trying to bring some drama to it..) I also really like this show on MOJOHD called Three Sheets. It's all about drinking around the world. http://www.mojohd.com/mojoseries/threesheets/
  2. Don't know if I've said this before in here or not. Dexter. Here's a preview/commercial:
  3. I gotta admit - jmmcalip's 100% right. I understand you're all about preserving the way you took the photo and everything, but if you do it that way, it's just another photo. You have to have something that truly "pops" in your picture to distinguish it from the other guys'. You won't have to edit all of your photos, but Photoshop is really great at one thing (besides photochopped images), and that's getting the best out of your camera. The image quality is already there, but "developing" them in Photoshop brings it out. Here's an example: I took this picture in Snoopy's Summer Vacation at CP. It's a great photo, and turned out absolutely awesome. However, I wanted to capture more of the "feeling" of that part of the show, so I ran a soft focus filter over it, and warmed up the lighting ever so slightly, and I think I got it dead on. It's a much more "emotional" picture. See before and After below: AFTER - Nothing's really changed or over-processed, but the presentation is there. BEFORE
  4. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed it. When it went into the cobra roll, I said to myself - "wtf was that? a rattle?" and I actually re-wound it to make sure I heard correctly. Sounds like Dominator did right before its rattly cobra roll, too.
  5. remove their clothes and get ready for some global warming. What they didn't know is that Michael Moore, in association with National Lampoon, had been behind the scenes making a movie called "An Inconvenient Spoof", and this had all been a ploy to get them out of their clothes. Unbeknownst to the camera crew,
  6. In other news, his son, Robbie Knievel, is still sporting one hell of a haircut. this is the biggest side-profile shot I could find of the mullet of dare.
  7. I thought your coaster close-ups thread was an advertisement for your site...
  8. That video made me want a Seagram's wine cooler.
  9. I have dangerously bad luck with flying coasters. Opening year for Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFGrAm, I was attending an early morning ERT session, when we stopped in the brake run, in upright B&M flying position, for around 40 minutes. If you want to know the meaning of discomfort, that's it. Then, the first year Cedar Fair had ownership of Geauga Lake, I decided to take a spin on X-flight, and right before the ride dispatched, there was a trouble light which required a ride reset. No big deal, 10 minutes and we're off. Until we hit the final brakes (on a rainy day, mind you) and lay there for 10 minutes. We proceed into the station, where the train would not raise. It wouldn't even attempt to raise, there was something that much the matter with it. After numerous attempts at resetting the ride, and the train *almost* deciding to try raising, they called maintenance, who showed up within, Oh 20 minutes or so, poked around at the controls, and under the ride, etc.. Then, they broke out the big guns - Socket wrenches. That's right, after just over 90 minutes of laying in true flying position, with the riders' legs over their heads, seat by seat, the train/restraints were disassembled, and we were lifted out. It is definitely something to laugh at, but I was feeling pretty dizzy after that experience. edit: Oh, and what Eric said, too. X is a P.O.S
  10. ^ Really? They were missing a play area? http://www.holidayworld.com/monsoon.html What's that?
  11. I was going to call that one out, but I didn't feel like it. It's most definitely Rita: Queen of Speed.
  12. Well, yeah. I guess that means we *do* think alike?
  13. I had a reply just like Elissa's typed up and decided not to post it, but I completely agree.
  14. 3rd in a US state. Don't forget about Wildfire at SDC in Branson, MO. edit: Wait, I think I see what you did there. Nevermind
  15. Unibroue Maudite: Recommended to me by the guys at the store. Unbelievably smooth, almost Hefe-Weizen like, with a great cinnamon after-tone. It's also quite sweet, but not sugary, if that makes any sense at all. On the bottle, it prides itself on its warm, mellowing effect, and I can say that I see what they mean.
  16. Young's Double Chocolate Stout. I know this one's been done before, but I hadn't had it (I know, I know...) Great chocolatey flavor, a hint of coffee taste. Extremely delicious. It is also very heavy, Josh is now full. Edit: I paired it with a Lindt "intense orange" dark chocolate bar, and it is quite the combination. Worth a try. Pour. Bottle.
  17. Found this at the store, gave it a try for science. A-B did a really good job with Jack's Pumpkin Ale this year, so let's see how they do on Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale. It's very similar in smoothness to the Jack's Pumpkin, though there's less nutmeg/pumpkin flavor. You can really smell the vanilla beans in this one, and there's a hint of bourbon cask coming through. Overall, it's not a bad beer, one of the better big label seasonal brews out there. It's no Great Lakes Christmas Ale, though. Drink. Pour. Not bad in color... Bottle
  18. Wow, it's really pretty there. I really would like to see it in person one day.
  19. In GH3, it's all about the bonus songs, and it's all about F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.
  20. Thanks, he's a good cat. Before I tell you his name, please keep in mind that we adopted him from an 88 year old woman who had a stroke and could not take care of him anymore. (he was still a kitten though). She named him "Happy". It's a cute name, and it suits him pretty well, though he still has his claws so, sometimes the name "a-hole" fits, too. He's very loyal and loves everyone, especially his buddy Baxter. They are like Milo and Otis. When Baxter had a broken leg, the cat would lay with him all day to keep him company - it was very cute. BAXTER
  21. ^ Oh, you know you're a regular Moxie drinker... Don't deny it..
  22. CAT! a million percent smaller!
  23. One potentially great coaster, and another coaster that has already been established as great fun. Steel Dragon is one of the better spinning mice I've been on.
  24. I really like Waldameer. It's a great place to spend a day, away from the standard CP visit. I'm sure this ride is going to turn out great for them, and I really can't wait to give it a try.
