I know there are a select few among the Theme Park Review forums that really enjoy throwing thread discussions off for some reason. Here, you can live out your thread ruining desires without actually annoying people on other threads. Pretend this is the Michigan's Adventure/Darien Lake thread, in other words. I'll start.... I firmly believe that Michigan's Adventure is going to get Magnum from Cedar Point. Who else here feels the same way?

Darien Lake just announced to a local news station that they are going to add a Gerstlaurer Infinity coaster back by Twister. They said that the ride will be given a Gabe Newell theme and will feature a virtual queue system where you can play Valve made games (Team Fortress 2, Half Life series, etc.) in the waiting room until it's your turn to ride. Once on board, the ride will feature over 9,000 feet of track (.... anyone get the joke there?) and a record breaking 15 inversions. The track will be painted with a tie die swirl look to it and the ride vehicles will feature the Pepsi logo on the front. On top of all of that, there will be a gift shop at the exit featuring Valve/Steam related merchandise and a Gabe Newell meet-and-greet. I'm super excited about this, are y'all excited about this too? They said construction will start tomorrow and be completed within an impressive 1 month in time for the 2017 season!

That's cute. Indeed LOL . BTW, the last post I made was being sarcastic. Also, if anything, I would expect Darien Lake to get something like a Vekoma Firestorm or a Gerstlaurer Eurofighter if they were to ever get a new coaster (notice : IF THEY EVER).

Anyone ever think that Darien Lake is going small this year to save up for something large in 2018? I remember how there was barely anything new for 2014 and then the year after (2015) was when Rolling Thunder and Brain Drain were added. This trend seems.... familiar. Anyone wanna make B&M rumors now?

Any word on the construction of the Strike-Up ride?

That does look interesting! Is the drop going to be just gravity, or will it be pulled down faster than gravity (like and S&S turbo drop)?
