  1. (Does college campus drama count?) Jokes aside though, Ride of Steel at Darien Lake. It's good despite being Intamin's first Mega coaster.
  2. $25 dollars for all three is not horrible. I have paid more for a single hayride. Also, the picture of the old season passes is rather neat. I never saw Darien Lake under its first Six Flags era, so it always interests me to see memorabilia from that time in Darien Lake's history.
  3. Found a picture of one of the investors. Don't worry, all the other investors are just as fictional.
  4. So awesome this dive coaster is getting built 2 and a half hours away from me. Can't wait
  5. Are the haunt mazes free? If not, how much is it to get into each one?
  6. I went there too. This is what it looked like upon arrival Worst coaster ever Best ride there Saw Shrek there Shia was there too Me drunk I guess This ride was great This one was okay Most intense roller coaster ever Saw Shrek there Saw Shrek there I went there too.
  7. Also, has anyone heard anything about Ride of Steel getting rethemed back to Superman? I'm kind of hoping they do.
  8. What I've heard from a couple people... - Hotel Terror will be beyond ROS, where the old haunts used to be. - Jungle Apocalypse is going in the picnic shelter area, there will also be a scarezone down there as well. - The other scarezones will be back by Twister, in between Tantrum and Mind Eraser, and the path between Predator and Boomerang. - All the coasters will be operating, in addition to Rolling Thunder, Giant Wheel, Haymaker, Lasso, Sleighride, Twister, Tin Lizzys and Rodeo Round Up. So are they constructing a new building for Hotel Terror? Also, how large in scale are the other two haunt mazes going to be? (On a side note, that was really awkward how there was an entire discussion on the Darien Lake thread about what counts as a Theme park. Just look it up instead of spamming this thread)
  9. Some word has gotten out about the 2020 coaster most likely being a B&M hyper. This just seems weird to me because they already have Skyrush. Is that not a hypercoaster? Why do they need 2?
  10. This can’t be right, as the email said “New Ride” not Ride*s*. It was worded as if it will be one ride, so I wouldn’t put much of any trust into this. Keep in mind that these are rumors from the internet. I mean, this same guy claimed that there will be Fortnite themed rides. Should we really take someone seriously when they sincerely claim that Six Flags will theme new rides to Fortnite?
  11. Interesting, you know more than me? .... or is this just some random rumor If you do "know" something, then what do you have to say about Darien Lake's rumored "collection of a few rides"? I mean, does anyone even know the exact models of these rides from the other popular rumor going around that Darien is getting a "few small rides"? This just all seems kinda illegitimate. I mean, if you do know something please share all, just give proof if you do.
  12. BTW, it's probably not true (or at least there is a slim chance), but I'll post about it here anyways just so people are aware that this rumor is a thing. This blew up on multiple sites today for some odd reason. So, people are saying that the new ride will be called "Stampede" and will be a Skyline Attractions Skywarp Horizon model. It's probably just a random rumor though. Edit : I guess people are saying this is actually for Frontier City. But it's still from multiple random sites soo.... take it with a grain of salt still
  13. This thread is the gift that keeps on giving. Hopefully I don't offend too much in saying this, but I agree. Reddit is about as good of a source as the Dippin Dots guy. Why bother with Reddit for that? Anyways, how likely is it that Darien gets a flat ride like a zamperla discovery since they are probably already spending a decent amount in rebranding the park? That may cost them a bit so maybe Darien is really not getting anything such as a coaster.
  14. Does anyone think that Six Flags will rebrand Darien Lake into Six Flags Darien Lake?
  15. You guys are totally getting a giga. Probably an I305 clone. It's like you already knew. People really aren't sincere enough about this thread. Although, I guess this is slightly understandable considering this thread's reputation for B:TE and 'Cuda Falls Rumors (as in people thinking they will return when they obviously won't). Anyone have thoughts on how likely it is for Darien Lake to recieve a smaller cloned coaster in 2019? Does that seem unrealistic?
  16. Any more speculation about the August 30th announcement?
  17. I agree with what a couple of people said a page or two back. The closing of Darien Square off from the park is most likely a matter of security. Also, there is no way anything custom made will be coming to Darien Lake next year coaster-wise as there is simply not enough time in between to design a new coaster. However, if Premier was able to add a Super Loop the year they took over management, I can certainly see Six Flags adding another cloned coaster by the 2019 season if they wanted to make a good first impression. I highly doubt an RMC raptor, however, an S&S Freespin or something of around the same cost does not seem unlikely. Also, as someone else mentioned earlier, I agree that it would be awesome to have both an indoor wild mouse coaster and an S&S Freespin come to the park in the same season. Getting two in one season seems unlikely, but one can dream LOL.
  18. Here are my geusses for the August 30th announcement : - A Skywarp - S&S Freespin - Frisbee ride - And probably my strangest theory (but maybe there's a chance) : maybe Apocalypse from Six Flags America is getting relocated to Darien Lake
  19. On the note of trying not to beat a dead horse... Let's bring the conversation back to the possible 2019 Skywarp. Anyone here anything new in regards to how possible it is?
  20. So, the first 2019 addition rumor is already leaking out online. Take it with a grain of salt as this is based off of "someone said this at a presentation" claims. So, someone else (won't say who) on another website made the rather interesting claim that he knows someone who went to a presentation hosted by head Darien Lake / Six Flags corporate people. This claim goes on to say that this other individual that went to the meeting heard plans to add a Skywarp attraction to Darien Lake for 2019. Again, don't take this too seriously yet, I don't know how valid the claim really is. However I will say that it seems like a decent addition if it happens. Also, if it becomes the next addition, it will technically be the Park's 9th coaster.
