  1. 18, and that wasn't the only first I had that night...
  2. OMG I'm still not sure how the hell I survived the ropes course! But I will say that if I can make it, a LOT of people could!! I love the last two "triangle" shots I'm in cause the first is me and lou trying to go at the same time and failing miserably, and the second on I made it! (still unsure of that one as well...) As opposed to the non Mexican Hector on the trip right? Oh yeah, Troy and Toverland in general were freakin' awesome! They gave us all wood!
  3. The burritos did kick some ass, but they were certainly not Mexican. Trust me, I know mexican burritos
  4. DUDE, The scariest part of the Lighthouse/StarFlyer was when Robb sat down the whole thing tipped a bit!
  5. I LOVE the pictures! It really seems to show how much fun we were having.
  6. All I can say is I'm glad I did the tree thing WITHOUT seeing what it did first. Hehe The look on my face says it all, It scared the crap out of me the first time! Man those soggy old boobies made me glad I'm gay. Of course saggy balls won't be any better... Oh well in with the new out with the old I say
  7. You know, being the "test dummy" for the bigger folk I do have to say I was really scared of the friggin' boat jump.
  8. Dude what happens next!?!
  9. Eh, I don't know about that. I don't know how well SF trains their employees, but during my tenure at CP, we were taught to watch and listen for anything abnormal. Not to mention, we were taught to keep our hand on the stop button anytime the ride was in motion/leaving the station. I'm not saying you're wrong. I just figure, during my time, if I had seen anything break or something that didn't look right at all, it would have been an instant reaction. Who knows. We still aren't even sure how it happened. Just throwin' my bit in about that. I've had a few things happen, no where near as bad as this, but even with awesome training and being a good ride-op for three years, stuff still happens that's not supposed to in the blink of an eye with no warning. I feel for everyone involved in this accident and Hope that people can recover as best they can.
  10. *runs to check Q&A section*
  11. Elissa, just be glad it's not San Bernardino, where it takes just as long to go the same distance, but it's San Bernardino...
  12. Missed it tonight, but it premiered last week and I think it lost a little of the charm of the British version (the accents!!) but I still enjoyed it. We'll see how long it lasts.
  13. Anyone else heard of this site? http://www.419eater.com/index.htm They basically scam the e-mail scammers that try to get your money. Go to the archives and start with busted it's long but definitely worth it. All I'm going to say is Nigerian Monty Python
  14. The only coaster I've ever been terrified of is Superman: The Escape at SFMM, and that was in 1997 when I was 12...
  15. Rode this on Thursday, while I do realize it's a new ride and all, the queue was full and with two trains, it was still a half hour wait. It's a fun little ride but I feel it's one of those rides you ride only at night and with a 20 minute wait or less. I opted to wait for the last row since I knew it was going to be my only ride for the day (literally, I drove home right after) and the lift is pretty steep. The jerk at the end of the lift can be quite painful for taller people. I'm 5'9" and still managed to hit my knee, and it hurt. The car spun a few times in the beginning, but I ended up facing backward for most of the ride. It would be a much better ride if they added a little bit more. It would have also help pad the ride time to avoid keeping the second train stacked for so long. The cool thing is the trains readjust themselves free of the station, so you don't even have to wait to be in the station to get back into (un)load position. I'm sure that cuts down the wait time dramatically. Overall it's a great ride for families with little ones and a perfect fit for Camp Snoopy. Good job Knott's.
  16. Actually Knotts probably has the least amount of nearby parks out of all the CF parks. Great America is quite a ways away. Even if you consider non-CF parks there's only a handful close by. Where as the east coast parks are for the most part located in park dense areas. I did mean more access to parks this year with the acquisition of Great America and Gilroy Gardens. The Knott's only pass is still $115, same price as last year (or at least around the same price). And again, if you get it form knott's, It's good for a year from the date of purchase. So someone could get a CF maxx pass in June or July from Knott's of this year and use it at CF parks this year AND next year before their pass expires. Also something to consider when purchasing your pass.
  17. Also keep in mind that the Knott's pass is good for a year from purchase date, not just 2007 which drives the cost up a little more as well as having access to more parks in Cali. Pries are pretty much based on what F thinks people will pay for the pass (how far are they from other CF parks and all that, same reason why SF passes are different prices too) Course I could be completely wrong about all of it too...
  18. but the beuatiful part of life is that most of the time you don't have to deal with them either.
  19. I think my favorite posts are the "it's been so long since I've been with a woman" and you're 13-16. You still got an awfully long way to go in your lives, don't be so down about it.
  20. My drive to vegas is three hours and I live about an hour from the parks, so I'm going say four-five hours (or a lot more depending on traffic)
  21. hehe I have a lot of similar photos from when I went last year. Brings back some good memories. Thanks for sharing and lucky you for living there.
  22. I'm wondering though how many "boycotts" will pop up because of this, cause no company can do something this awesome without some serious backlash from the vocal bigots. It's even alluded too at the end of the article! Disney fan for Life.
  23. the NC-17 version of A Dirty Shame. 10/10 It stars Tracy Ullman as a Conservative and prudent Mother trying to get to work who, through a concussion, is transformed into a major sex addict. Chris Issak plays her husband and Selma Blair is their daughter sporting some of the BIGGEST set of (prosthetic) boobs that have ever been created I'm sure. The plot isn't much, one side versus the other (In this case the Neuters against the Perverts), but the journey to the end is John Water's Disgusting yet hilarious return to his trashy roots. It also has a great message of tolerance (In a very twisted way of course) Also starring Johnny Knoxville as Ray-Ray, and Suzanne Shepherd as Big Ethel, leader of the Neuters. NO Sex act is left out in this movie, and as such has earned itself an NC-17 (there's also an R version out there as well), and should not be seen by those easily offended. The "strangest" use of a water bottle during the Hokey Pokey at a senior center will be one of those Waters moments that have to be seen to be believed, such as the dog walking scene at the end of Pink Flamingos. Plus it has a hilarious (if not random and embarrassing) cameo by David Hasselhoff. Plenty of very quotable one liners and outrages sightgags a must see for fans of Waters other movies. "It's not safe out! People are shaving their crotches as we speak. There is pubic hair in the air! Everywhere!"
  24. The 9 blocks on Top Thrill Dragster (and I'm sure on Maverick and most of the other coasters at CP) had to be manually reset by a person in controls and a person at the panel being cleared. I don't think that computer system is from the 70's. Same thing on Magnum (hey, I'm using knowledge I know!) if block C (The brakes before the station) weren't clear, The train would stop on B (The one by the lift) and a person would have to run out there and manually release the train. I would assume that they require manual resets to ensure that the block should be cleared. The ride obviosuly stopped for a reason, so the (park/ manufacturer) doesn't want to take a chance. The computer doesn't know why things don't move fast enough (slow guest) just that the trains are not being dispatched fast enough.
