WDW Castle Christmas Lights
RCFreak replied to MagicSpringsGuy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's friggin' awesome! Can't wait to see how DL's tiny terror turns out. -
Sea World charges $57 for a one day Adult admission. The Wild Animal park is only $28.50 (or $33 to include the Journey into Africa tour, and the Conservation Carousel) and $59 gets you a day at the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Wild life park. They're not exactly the same type of beasts. Even if Sea World does get a new coaster or any ride, it can only really help the Zoo as many will make it a long weekend and go to all three. Keep in mind not everyone just cares about what rides a zoo has. How else does Topeka manage to have a zoo and not a theme park?

It's one of the most popular wildlife parks in the world, and it's not like it's one of the world's smallest either. I doubt they'll actually build any rides, just re-theme a lot of the exhibits and the park in general. If the park turns out half as good as the concept drawings, I may have to take a visit there sooner then I was expecting.

This is exactly what it sounds like to me, more like Earthquake 2.0 less of a new ride. Even if it's little more then just changing the pre-show it already sounds like an improvment. While the first room was pretty low-tech it didn't seem nearly as outdated as the other rooms. Plus if they add more fire that's always a plus!

awwww man, I haven't been able to watch a full season of Amazing Race since 8. Definitely the only reality show I actually like, I'll have to try and remember to find out when it's on and watch. No Tivo for me

So if this is a Zamperla, I take it it's going to be a custom design and not the traveling prototype? I'm excited for this actually. I liked the booster bike at Toverland and Sierra Sidewinder was a really good addition to the park, so with those two concepts in mind I think Knott's can have another fun family ride. And hey that makes flywheel launch #2 for the park so hopefully not much downtime?

why, we're keeping ours. -
Great, now I want to go hiking. I'm not to big of a fan on the whole roughing it thing, I like running water out of faucets and flushable toilets. Looks like you all had a greta time though.

I just used Ted's web ap, and the second step says "Select "Yes" for each coaster that you have ridden in 2006 and click the "Go to Step 3" button at the bottom of the page." This is for the coasters ridden in 2007 correct? This is the first year I'm doing this, so I'm not too sure. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"

Overall I like X, it's not something I do often mostly because of the wait times, but this should be cool to see what actually ends up happening. I'm more curious to what and where this tunnel they are adding is supposed to go and do. I don't think of that as over theming, lots of coasters have tunnels with lights and fog ("special effects") so it'll be interesting to see at the very least. -

It's pretty scary, quite a few people I work with left early to go home (or try to at least) as the area they live had been evacuated because of the Little Mountain fire in San Bernardino. Another friend who lives in lake Arrowhead said that the fire there was 70% contained this morning and by about 1 the fire was completely out of control. Crazy stuff.

Why did they do that?
RCFreak replied to Fallen Heretic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They are not as nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Do tell. I'm not RCFreak, but I HAVE had my horse collar pop open on an Invertigo and I must say that I am very glad that the safety belt was there, otherwise I would have plummeted to my death when it shockingly opened up as I was going up the lift hill in reverse. So yes, they aren't nearly as pointless as you obviously think. Not only are those made by Vekoma, but the restraint system is totally different. They're not as different as you think, and that is one of the big reasons. -

Actually, Blue Bayou's food isn't that phenomenal, it's decent, but you're definitely paying for the amazing atmosphere! Always a special treat, especially if you've never been. I would have recommended the thanksgiving buffet they have at the Disneyland Hotel. It's quite expensive ($57 per Adult last year) but the food always looks really good and they have characters around for the kids and adults. I'm not sure if Blue Bayou actually has a special thanksgiving menu, but then again I avoid the park like the plague that week. Have an amazing time at the Disneyland resort though, they go all out for Christmas and it's supposed to be even better this year.
