Hello Kitty themed train ride! -
Um, that's what it's suppose to do. I think Raptor was down a few days after one of the trains felt it was too good for the station and just shot straight through ending up with two trains on the lift. That was funny to see.

I did happpen to know Daniel, I met him one year at Cedar Point (I think 2003 or 2004) and it's very sad to hear of this. My thoughts go out to his family. -

Dude, those are freakin' great! You got some real talent. I wasn't on Midwest, but I know those moments on these trips that just always stick out; this is a great (and clever) way of capturing some of them. -

OMG B-Dubs! It's been a few years since I last did underage drunken karaoke in Sandusky. I hate you all! I wish I was there -
I would asume that unless it's a much older train (which some said it wasn't?) the pedal to unlock the car would have to be held down with force to keep it unlocked. And the lift motor started up again, it wouldn't matter where people were sitting on the train, it was going over no matter what. There's a reson you switch OFF the power when doing an evac.

I went there a few weeks ago. It really sucked, the rides were really fun. (Their breakdance had an amazing and long program) but overall I felt kinda dirty there. I'll be glad for any improvements to the place; then again I don't have any nostalgia for the place as it was my first visit.

While Grizzly River Run has a bigger drop (I think?) River Quest's felt a LOT steeper. Both are really good rapids, but it seems like RQ was focused more on the drops more then actual rapids, and GRR has a very fun (albeit a bit dry) rapids section with a couple of drops. As for Black mamba, it's a very fun ride. Haven' been on many B&M Inverts so I can't really compare many of them, but it's definitely a front seat ride for the visuals which doesn't say much about the actual ride. Talocan and Winjas are easily the best rides in the park!
