  1. I freaking LOVE [Title of Show] so to see Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen both working on this, it'll definitely have a lot of humor and good music (for a musical). I'd MUCH rather have this at DCA then Toy Story! "An Original Musical" from [title of show] Definitely NOT for children, plenty of foul language ahead! The video is stupid, but it's the original song with both Hunter and Jeff singing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2gVdfNP71A
  2. Awesome news, this is great that you guys are expanding this every year it seems. I'm glad TPR got involved with this event and it's grown so much. Can't wait to see how much of a deal this will end up being when final pricing comes out.
  3. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Ferrari World not in Dubai? Yup just looked on the site Scott linked to and it's in Abu Dhabi, does anyone who follows foreign politics better know if Abu Dhabi is in the same financial crisis as Dubai or at least as bad? That could be the difference in Ferrari World surviving more then any of the other Dubailand projects.
  4. A big thanks to everyone involved in this!
  5. Having worked on Woodstock Express at Cedar point, they do not have independant rollbacks on the lift itself. The tire lift is fully capable of stopping the train and keeping it in place (even fully loaded). If the tires get really wet and can possibly slip an inch or two at most, usually not enough to ever send it crashing back into the station, but that's why they have a set of brakes at the bottom of the lift in multiple train operation. And it's not like the park would run it in the rain anyway for that very reason. That said I also think Magic Mountain won't change anything and keep it one train. The thing that will kill capacity though is it it has seat belts or not. It was a HUGE pain in the butt at Cedar Point (especially after they added the stupid plastic cover to prevent most people from opening the seat belts themselves and absolutely killed any decent capacity the ride could have had. Add in the fact that it's Magic Mountain and you might have better capacity at Deja Vu still lol.
  6. Hands down one of my favorite videos (and not just cause I'm in it!) It was a fantastic resort, an amazing group of people and I think you really did do a great job capturing the fun that was had over the few days we were there.
  7. Let me start off by saying I LOVE SHOWS! Often times while I worked at Cedar Point a few years ago, I would have "show days" and literally spend an entire day just watching each of the shows the park offered (back when they actually had good shows and enough budget people to perform in them). Aladdin is pretty damn impressive for being in a theme park. Of the two shows I've actually seen on actual Broadway (including Disney's own Mary Poppins), it's pretty up there. Ok well maybe more on a touring version scale of the mega shows you mentioned, but still very impressive and a lot of fun. I go and watch it often, and a lot of the times the theater fills up pretty good and the people leave impressed and happy to have watched it (including a lot of comments of being Broadway caliber *shrug*) so in that sense I'm glad at least Aladdin was a success. That said, I'm not really excited for Toy Story. I will go at least see it as I also loved Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom (yeah I even bought the soundtrack, that's how dorky I am lol) so I'm holding out hope that I may still like this. But I already have the feeling I will not go and see this as much as I do with Aladdin now, as I don't like the storyline for Toy Story as much as I do Aladdin (with already proven music to boot).
  8. Oh wow sounds like an awesome experience! I got to go to the Studio a few years ago and it's definitely an interesting atmosphere. Thanks for sharing.
  9. And the deal may be official, but the approval from the FTC and FCC is not, so who knows if by some miracle they deny the deal.
  10. It just says largest, not tallest. They could be referring to amount of land this ride takes up instead of height.
  11. Thank you guys so much for this! Robb, you looked DAMN yummy in this video, just throwing that out there. I've found the only way I can actually successfully download these videos is using Internet Explorer, so if you have any issues, try it in IE and see if that works first.
  12. But Jeff it's FIRE! Oh well, I guess since you were around when it was created it's not a big deal for you. But don't worry, I'll drag you out to see this a few weeks after it debuts (gotta let the pASSHOLders get it out of their systems and all) just so you can at least see it lol. It took you long enough to go ride Ghost Galaxy anyway. Of course knowing me and how easily amused I am by everything, I'll probably love it. I spent almost a full half hour at the Waltzing Waters booth watching their Liquid Fireworks booth at IAAPA last Friday. The Mirage in Las Vegas also has the the "dancing flames" as part of their revamped Volcano experience and it was fun watching the fire dance. And who knows maybe they do have a few tricks up there sleeves still that people don't know about that will place this one top.
  13. Eric Idle sings you a nice lullaby to help you go to sleep... or give you nightmares. Eric Idle Glory Hole?
  14. AMAZING! I love how this cake turned out. Excellent work, really, you should consider doing this as a job later on if you can. I'm sure you could even charge for one or two cakes a month to start now to get more practice and a little extra money. Your other cake was fantastic as well. Ace of Cakes is one of my favorite shows (and not just cause I think Duff is hot!) and this definitely makes me appreciate cake decorating and all that goes into it. My mom actually does a lot of cakes for family and friends as well. I might have to show her the marshmallow fondant recipe, as she doesn't like the taste and thinks it's pointless to do so much work for just decoration to peel off. I can't wait to see what else you come up with downt he line as well.
  15. ^lol I found this to be funny: Oh the irony! Remember kids you are not as anonymous as you would like to think on the Internet.
  16. ^^Were you with the rest of the ambassadors at the Moser rides on Friday around 3:00-3:30? You all seemed to be having a blast together and generally enjoying yourselves for the show almost being over. And (a possible general) thanks (to one of you) for the free registration to next year's show!
  17. ^^lol regular Huss frisbees face inwards, Huss giant frisbees (like Delirium and MaxAir) face outwards, but whatever kind of baby you want to call it, it was still an awesome ride for it's size and I demand every FEC get one right now!
  18. I NEED to have a Moser Gyro Loop for my backyard, I had an inSANE ride on it today and the Sidewinder they had next to it (Baby Giant Frisbee) is perfect for a small indoor FEC and offers quite a thrilling ride for it's size.
  19. It said the site is at Larson International's land which is at Plainview, TX 79072.
  20. ^Do you not know who she's married to? More awesome coverage!
  21. Do you not see the things wearing sombreros in the back? I'm drunk so no, I did not. Looks like my family! lol it just looks like part of the inflatable behind it (I'm going to assume a 'jumping' bean reference)
  22. ^^WHAT!? You mean complicated pieces of machinery have issues that need repairing!? Wow I'm glad my car has never needed to be serviced, or had a toaster that lasted me forever and never needed replacing. ^ The barstool? I also demand more mini pancake machine coverage!
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't TPR been providing IAAPA footage for a few years now? Always good to see continuing business though and fun updates!
  24. Interesting to see it all listed, but the two things I noticed that were wrong are no mention of Universal Studios Singapore is owned by the Genting Group, and that Gilroy Gardens is merely under management of Cedar Fair.
