  1. Went to SFHH yesterday and still no testing. At least while we were there it wasn't. There were still people working on the tower. I'd think they'd have to remove all the cables for the work car before testing. I just can't see the ride opening next weekend if I'm being honest. Sucks because I already took the day off for Media Day. Didn't go into SFMM so not sure how close the entry area is to being done.
  2. Before I recap how awesome I feel this TR is so far ... so what are worse? The Fabri's or SLC's? Because that POV looked liked it HURT!! So to recap ... Pig rape Robb going to hell Boobs Doc and Snow White sneaking off for a booty call The most AMAZING PICTURE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!! And a Scott Pilgrim reference. And it's only day 4. Well done!!!
  3. Maybe they'll theme it to the next logical sequel ... Boats. (well, after Planes)
  4. ^ That sounds awesome. The only drawback I'm seeing to that is having the same ride system twice in the same park/same resort. It's not like a coaster where you can do a lot of different things with it. Would be interesting though. I think that concept would be fun! Granted, from what I've seen of "Journey" it's not really a "racing" thing like Test Track/RSR but more of a fully realized dark ride, just using the ride system with a few fast parts. So perhaps using it as a "racing" ride would differentiate itself from Journey enough. What do those who have ridden Journey think? Also, Wes, thanks for your reviews. I haven't been to CarsLand yet, but I've heard some really fun things about Luigi's. I can't wait to ride it. As for Mater's, it still strikes me as an updated "Ladybug Boogie" that happens to be 100 yards away. And it cost them $100m. I actually think I'm looking forward to BVS as much, if not more than CarsLand.
  5. There are WAY too many places I haven't been yet, but as far as places I've been, my favorites are: Cities: San Francisco, CA Chicago, IL San Diego, CA Denver, CO Indianapolis, IN All have such distinction and are truly great and unique in their own ways. Cities that are on the very top of my list to visit in the future are NYC, Washington DC, London, Paris, Rome, Venice, Berlin, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Istanbul, Sydney, Cairo.
  6. Thank you Robb. You know I fully agree with your sentiment regarding "Disneyland Fanboys". People just assume I'm one, but this isn't the case AT ALL. As Robb said, the last true "original" E-Ticket that Disneyland got was Indy in 1995. Nemo was a remake, Space Mtn was a remake, etc. Of course DCA has a few E-Tickets (Soarin', GRR, Screamin', ToT) but this is truly the first truly IMMERSIVE E-ticket in the history of DCA. It's great to see, and I do think that the park is on the right track. It's still not as good as Disneyland, or MK, or EPCOT or Tokyo. Why can't people just be happy we have a great new ride, great new land and awesome new Main Street in a park that has needed it for 11 years?
  7. ^ Would that scenario also apply if you have a "Comp" ticket Robb? (asking specifically regarding BGW day)
  8. Media Day is the 28th according to the "Save the Date" I received.
  9. ^ Agreed, and that's again, really sad. Let us have "something" instead of always trying to make a buck. If tickets drop down in the next day or so I may try to snag a pair. Funny, just looked on CraigsList and all the tickets for sale have been flagged for removal. Good for them!!! No such removal from eBay. Bastages. And yes, they are all brokers. If I was Staples I would have charged $10 at the door and had the proceeds go to charity. I would have much rather had the tickets go to something worthwhile than greedy brokers.
  10. THIS!!! The other reasoning may have nothing at all to do with the ride itself, but evacuation procedures.
  11. Last night was AMAZING!!! Was going to try and get tickets for the Rally inside Staples on Thursday. Apparently all the Season Ticket Holders got them during their presale and are now selling them on eBay and Craigslist. I don't begrudge them getting first crack at the tickets, they should, but it's sad they feel they need to make a buck off the rest of us fans.
  12. From the Knott's Season Pass Holder Facebook Page: This is pretty awesome. Apparently this also applies to those with a hotel package.
  13. ^ Agreed. I can't foresee them waiting until one or the other ride is ready to launch S:EFK/dispatch LL:DOD.
  14. We had a great time at the Knott's event yesterday. I think most riders got well over 100 rides on Jaguar, with the most being around 150. Spent a good portion of the day hanging with Shirley, David, Shawn and the Bebe's which was completely awesome. But all of the riders for Team TPR were incredible and so many awesome off-the-wall, insane, delirious conversations were had. I had commented that it was nice that all of the riders were at one ride all day so we got to just "hang out" because it's so hard to spend time with everybody during the awesome TPR events. This was my 2nd year doing the event at Knott's, and even though Jaguar left it's mark on me I can't wait to do it again next year!!! A couple of pics from yesterday: They had a sign out that warned the GP that they would experience delays. Shirley and David sometime around ride number 40 I'd guess. Knott's gave us a nice spread for Breakfast Enjoying a delicious lunch of Mrs. Knott's chicken, well except for the Vegan and the no fried food guy. During our lunch break, nobody really had any desire to sit for too long. Taking our 100th ride "Cookie Break"!! It was a beautiful day!!! We managed to not just break Jaguar, but also Monte and Windseeker (without even riding them). That takes talent!!! After the end of a long day, it was nice to see Knott's knows what team to support. Go Kings Go!!
  15. Went to the park today, well SFHH but stopped in to MM briefly to get some LL:DOD pics. Ride is looking good, there was some gold trim added to the queue building that looks REALLY nice. The ride vehicle was covered up but I was told padding was added to the OTSR's, so they aren't the same lap bars as Skyrush. Also told that testing should start at some point this week and that they will be ready for Media Day.
  16. Sadly because the Kings didn't win on Wednesday my evening will be occupied watching Hockey. I am DVR'ing Jersey Shore Shark Attack but will sadly miss TPRChat.
  17. ^^ The Tunnel would only be wide enough for one direction, so it's going to have to go over the mountain somewhere if they did that.
  18. The area where Log Jammer was and where Deja Vu was are nowhere near each other. There is the "Mountain", 3-4 rides and a whole bunch of shops in between the two area's. It'd have to be a REALLY long coaster for it to use that area. The Log Jammer area could hold a pretty good sized coaster and the Deja Vu area could hold a decent mid-sized coaster considering they had cleared land for Road Runner Express in that area as well. The Deja Vu area could also hold a station for a nice Out and Back coaster that goes along the entire back-side of the park or the other way over Roaring Rapids.
  19. "The Complication" and "Nooki" are in this!!!! SO there!!!
  20. It's always a good thing when LeChump loses.
