Glad to see the attic door open again, and what a greeting. I've been going to Santa Claus Land since I can remember, I am 42 now. I grew up with Santa Claus Land, Beech Bend, and Fontaine Ferry. Always look forward to what you have to offer.

If it comes to be, I so want to work there again. I spent 5 Seasons from 2000-05 and enjoyed my job, always took it serious. I will miss my Skycoaster, but was certified on most everything else in the park.

All in all, Geauga Lake could not survive today. It was a piece of history, like so many others, but wasn't enough to be profitable anymore. Everyone talks about the old parks and not wanting to see them disappear, but most of them are going and spending their money at the bigger parks anyways, because they offer more.

I think ED, wants to focus on the main side/ Water Park. He will put some rides over there from the original side, I'm sure, but I don't think he has any plans to use that side, that way he can have a little less to do with the KSFB. KY Kingdom won't be the same, it has been but, Ed will come in again and turn it around like he has before. When Ky Kingdom first opened it was just the side you entered before you crossed the bridge. There was a Double Decker Carousel at the entrance behind the fountains, where Hellavator was. There was a Force 10 where Breakdance was, A Log ride where Roadrunner and Skycoaster was, The Antique Cars have always been where they are, just modified. There was a Wave Swinger where the bumper cars where, A Super Round Up where the Enterprise is, a Trabant where the Rainbow was and A JET STAR enclosed in the building before it became the Thrill Park Theater . The bumper cars was in the building they used as a arcade, next to the Himalaya. I look forward to what Ed has in store, might even try to go back to work there. I worked there for 5 summers, when it was going through the change. I loved it, just something about working with the public, it that setting, made my day.

Great report of the fair. The only " New" ride they had this year was the Remix. North American Midways sucks, having two of a couple of rides and 3 Himalayas didn't add anything to the midway this year. I wish KY Kingdom had been open than I could have rode some decent Roller Coasters.

I seen another report where the workers were tinkering with it before the ride started. Glad no one was seriously hurt.

I thought it was Silver Dollar City before Dollywood.

Great now North American Midway can have 3, Tilt-A-Whirls, Scramblers and Himalaya type rides instead of 2 each like the last several years. They really didn't lose much to KK when it was open, most people at the fair are locals who had visited KK all summer. Why pay 5.00 to ride Chang , when most people had already rode it.

Out of respect for the victim, I really hope they don't release the footage to the media. I hope and pray the girl recovers, but it sounds like she may be paralyzed.

I loved the Columbus Zoo when I visited in 2006. They just recently sent a baby Gorilla from our zoo in Louisville, who was injured in a fight, up to Columbus to be raised by a another Gorilla. Great report, can't wait to get back up there.
